In 2004 I was living in Fort Collins Colorado. The local House of Representatives member. Wanted to limit Americans to 10 Rounds magazines. He was giving a speech somewhere and I stop by. I went spotted at least six of his security guards. One was carrying a fully automatic M&P 5 with a 30 round magazine inserted. His other bodyguards had the biggest capacities of handguns at the time. When when I asked him the politician to limit his security detail to the same 10 round magazine limit. Also no fully automatic weapons for him. He said that he was a politician and needed the protection and that he was not going to limit the choices of his security guards. But he still expected us to pay for his fully automatic weapons and bodyguards to protect him out of our pockets not his. So I made sure everybody in town knew what a hypocrite he was and that he wanted to limit our second amendment rights but not limit his bodyguards that we paid for. What a damn hypocrite he was thrown out of office the next election. Which is what should happen to every politician that wants to limit our constitutional rights no matter what level of government they be at.

I personally know a guy that was shot in a armed robbery. He was shot 6 times in the chest, got back up, walked away, and wasn't taken to the hospital for another 10 minutes and made a full recovery like it never happened. In that robbery it was two separate robbers. So if a single person can take half a dozens and still be able to walk around imagine how many you might need for the two of them.

Living in NJ a state that limits Mags to 10 plus 1, big issue is the people who modify these magazines render them useless bc they do not reduce the size of the spring, they put a block in that limits a 17 round to 10 which cripples the magazine and makes them harder to load and also causes more jams. I do not need a barrel with 100 rounds, a 15-20 round mag that comes from the factory is good, I will carry 1-2 more.

I think the biggest point you made here is the fact that this rule needs to be applied as a law pertaining to potential criminals in terms of sentencing, and NOT to law-abiding citizens who are simply trying to defend themselves and their families against said criminals. These people pushing for reduced capacity mags have it backwards.

Im all on board with what you're saying... If I was living in the US (or anywhere else where the option was available) I would definately equip myself accordingly. But to one specific reason: "you might miss" - the guncontrol lobby sees this a reason for you having as few rounds as possible because in their imagination any round not going on target hits an innocent (which isn't even remotely close to the truth).

The powertripping psychopaths behind the scenes that have a part in orchestrating it and the unhinged radicals who think they must destroy society might well fit the description but the average "low information voter" that would sign off on things like this requires that the gruesome details and facts be hidden from them so their illusions won't shatter, kind of like how people like hotdogs but nobody wants to see what goes into making them.

They had rifles that carried a handful of rounds also like the Girandoni Rifle that held 22-25 shots.
