- Arkham Asylum Front Seat POV & Picture in Picture of Coaster Enthusiast Amber Riding. This is a Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster (extended) with a Kumbak Train.
The ride was introduced in 1995, as Lethal Weapon. In 2012, the ride was rethemed to Arkham Asylum based on the popular Video Game.
The ride was the first steel inverted roller coaster at an Australian theme park, it has been SBNO since late 2019.

When it was called the lethal weapon my best friend and I got front seats and there was hardly any visitors that day and we asked to stay on the ride to see how many times we could ride before getting sick...he let us stay on it for 14 times in a row..was FREAKING AWESOME

I loved that coaster! So annoyed MovieWorld ripped it out.

lol i knew the moment i first saw the track they never changed it just the cars and theme that is just lazy it was actually the very first coaster i went on
Hahaha I was thinking the same. Haven't been to the theme parks down south since 2006, thought I'd see if there were any new rides worth going on. Found out the green lantern is new and for some reason I feel like the superman coaster was a re-theme job just like the lethal weapon ride. Apparently the same thing has happened to the 2 coasters at dreamworld. Used to be a rug rats reptar themed coaster and the twister or something, now it's mick doohans moto coaster and the hot wheels sidewinder, exact same layouts new theme. Buzz saw is just disappointing.

I was terrified when I went on this. And about 2-3 seconds after the drop, something hit my nose. It hurt for the rest of the day.

I can remember riding this over and over again back in 2006 and boy does it shake your head around!
The ride is smoother now and rethemed
Been on every ride here but as being a short person I find even when the belts or bars are pushed all the way down I can still move and it's so scary on the superman I always feel like I'm about to fall out of my seat

I went on the super man and was so scared because I felt like I was gonna fall out
Ye when I got launched at the start of superman I lifted up out of my seat and was moving around in my seat for the rest of the ride

I took this ride twice in one visit and one ride I used the VR dingy...awesome!!!
When I went on in 2008 it was called the Lethal Weapon

First time I've ever been to movie world, so this ride was brand new for me, loved every minute of it too, luckily got up the front first go. Scherer ride.
I went on it with my youngest daughter when it was 'Lethal Weapon' back in '96.....it was awesome.
I remember when the headrest had parts at the side and with every turn your head would bang against the sides. Was actually painful haha, good thing they changed that.
My friend actually passed out on it... she didn't even know that she had passed out till we saw the photo of her slumped in her seat🤣
I remember going on this when I was little, way back when it was called "lethal weapon". Back in those times I accidentily put my head down and the force of the roller-coaster held it down it was super hard to get it back upright 🤣
Went on this yesterday for the first time in years. Awesome, but Geez it hurt. So bumpy, and the belts hurt my shoulders
Ok whoever you are this Rollercoaster is the bomb! Sure you might think your feet will get chopped off but since it's smooth and not rough it makes it easier and less stressful to ride!

when i went on that ride, it felt like i was in the air and nothing was holding me up........lets just say im not going on it again

I can't believe I went on this, I closed my eyes the whole time and didn't remember a thing. Was hyperventilating afterwards.
I closed my eyes the whole way too... Almost.. I accidentally opened my eyes and we were upside down... Then I started laughing and enjoying it... Even smiled for the camera
best part is the insanely fast drop along with the many inversions

I went in this at approximately 1:00 pm on July 12, 2016 and had a terrible idea of trying not to hold on to anything and ended up having a minor whiplash injury on my back during a 360° roll. Not quite pleasant.
Yeah that ride is funny because my sister has been on it and hurt her neck and her ears started bleeding

Form Gaming it’s honestly a real headbanger cause the transitions are rough as and the tracks quite old

This ride and Scooby doo were closed when I went last November. At least it’s better than the whole place being closed during the COVID pandemic
it was the scariest ride iv been on, and i travel the world to go on rides wow!!!

LeisJ Productions You know, the GP tends to shower Vekoma SLCs with praise. Man, Blue Tornado is deemed to be one of the best rides in Italy by the GP, when I think it's the worst thing to ever exist at Gardaland. Even worse than Sequoia Adventure.

I was suprised at how fun and intense this coaster is! I didnt notice the intensity when it was Lethal Weapon as I was focusing on the pain ;)
The new trains with vest restraints, VR option, extra helix and great theming with Mark Hamill's voice in the station probably made this the best installed SLC in the world

Me and my dad repeatedly pressed the green buttons on this ride I did it as stress relief and he was pretending to shoot stuff and when we got to the end the lady said press the green button to get off the ride and me and my dad looked at each other in terror still one of the most memorable moments of my trip to Gold Coast in 2015

Yup, the name was changed, the themeing was replaced to DC Arkham Asylum decor, and the train was replaced with Kumbak surround-sound trains with a different harness.
I’ve been on the dc rivals, green lantern, and superman but I’m just scared to go on this? I have no idea why I just am, should I do it or nah? I’m 13
Edit: I went on it and it literally just throws you around, I’ve now got a sore neck and a headache. :)

RIP Lethal Weapon/Arkham Asylum. Officially decommissioned as of 26th January 2021 and is getting demolished.

I saw this roller coaster from a distance when it was being built and I didn’t know what it was and I thought it was a cyclops coaster

i got stuck on this ride it hurt so bad
This ride is fun with the extra helix but ridiculously rough
in September the ride is going to change the ride a bit they are going to make you wear the 360 degree glasses on the ride for virtual effects I'm not lying look it up yourself if you don't believe me.

It was terrified when I went on 2018. Dont ever take this as your first ride as you will regret it and wont enjoy the rest roller coasters :))

We went on this one today thought it was great so went back for another go.i felt spewie so didnt get back on .hubby did and noticed the seat in front of him flexing and had a split weld.told the operator's. They closed the ride. Very lucky!!

Omg I live in England and I'm 10 and I went to Australia and on that
i hope the park gets a new inverted coaster! a b&m would be nice, but i can deal with the roughness of a vekoma :] (realistically we won't have a new one too soon because we only got dc rivals what, three years ago?) sad to see this one go, it's about 30 years old at this point so it makes sense. all of seaworld's rides from the 90s are gone now, 20+ years seem to be their lifespan.
