'ఒక దేశం - ఒకేసారి ఎన్నికలు' సాధ్యమా?
లోక్ సభ, అసెంబ్లీలకు దేశమంతా ఒకేసారి ఎన్నికలు జరిపితే ఖర్చుతగ్గుతుంది, తాత్కాలిక తాయిలాలు, పరిపాలనలో ఎన్నికల కోడ్ సమస్యలు తగ్గుతాయని మధ్యతరగతి, మీడియా, బ్యూరోక్రసీ భావిస్తుండవచ్చని, కానీ రాజకీయ ఏకాభిప్రాయం, రాజ్యాంగ సవరణల అవరోధాలు దాటి ఎలాగోలా జమిలి ఎన్నికల్ని సాధ్యం చేసినా నిలిచేది కాదని.. ఇదే సమయంలో పంచాయతీ,మునిసిపాలిటీలకి, అసెంబ్లీకి, పార్లమెంట్ కి తేడా తెలియకుండా ఓటు వేసేవారు అత్యధికులున్న మన దేశంలో ఒకేసారి అన్ని ఎన్నికల వల్ల ప్రజాస్వామ్యం ఇంకా బలహీనపడే అవకాశం ఉందని ప్రజాస్వామ్య పీఠం (FDR),లోక్సత్తా వ్యవస్థాపకులు డాక్టర్ జయప్రకాశ్ నారాయణ్ అన్నారు.
ఎమ్మెల్యేల మీద ఆధారపడకుండా రాష్ట్రాల్లో ముఖ్యమంత్రుల ప్రత్యక్ష ఎన్నిక ఏర్పాటు చేస్తే అసెంబ్లీలు అయిదేళ్లూ కొనసాగుతాయని, స్థానిక ప్రభుత్వాలు బలోపేతమవుతాయని, అదే రీతిలో లోక్ సభ విషయంలో కొన్ని మార్పులు తెస్తే జమిలి ఎన్నికలు సాధ్యం కావటంతో పాటు పాలన గణనీయంగా మెరుగుపడుతుందని, ఈ రీతిలో లోతైన ఆలోచన చేయకుంటే ఒక దేశం - ఒకేసారి ఎన్నికల సాధ్యాసాధ్యాలపై అధ్యయనానికి మాజీ రాష్ట్రపతి రామ్ నాథ్ కోవింద్ నేతృత్వంలో తాజాగా ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కమిటీ పని కొండను తవ్వి ఎలకను పట్టే చందంగా తయారవుతుందని

దేశంలోనే ఎలక్షన్ కమిషన్ కి అన్ని రకాల ఎలక్షన్లను పెట్టడానికి 5 సంవత్సరాలలో సుమారు ₹8000/- కోట్లు ఖర్చు అవుతుందని ఒక సర్వే ప్రకారం అంచనా . ఆ మొత్తాన్ని 140 కోట్ల మందితో భాగిస్తే ఒక మనిషి అయ్యే ఖర్చు 11 లేదా 12 రూపాయలు మధ్యలో ఉంటుంది. ఎలక్షన్ లలో పోటీ చేసే అభ్యర్థులు గెలవడానికి ఇచ్చే డబ్బు ఖర్చు కాదు లంచం. అందుకే ఒక ఎమ్మెల్యే గెలవడానికి 50 కోట్లు ఖర్చుపెట్టి 5 సంవత్సరంలో వేల కోట్లు దోచేస్తున్నాడు

No govt must go for early election but govt can be disqualified if found unfit and president rule must be enforced and that state must be treated as union territory and must come under central government rule till next elections along with all. When EVM was first introduced, everyone talked about tampering with the machine, but no one demanded a show demo for public interest, no matter how strong it was. I mean, one's team is trying to manipulate existing results in the machine. Another team designed and built those, ready to accept flaws in the machine and fix them. For the filling of confidence in the public.
Same scenario when we introduce a digital and IVR-based voting system, but the election commission must have confidence in the voters about how secure and easy it is to use the system.

One nation one election is very good decision.
Each state's culture and requirements are different. If Modi govt goes for elections at single time then presentation makes major role in electing the govt rather than requirements on that perticular state...so this is one of the bad decision I feel.

one nation one election is need of the time, in case one of the state could not form a govt, instead dissolving the assembly and going to the elections again, the parties should be dissolved
and the governer should be provided the responsibility of administering the state by picking up the council of ministers from the elected MLAs for the rest of term or till the next election cyle.
in Five years there should be two elections cycles with a gap of 2.5 years.
karnataka's current govt tenure should be extended till the next central election cycle.
In case of a situation where loksabha gets dissolved, in that case the president should be provided authority to directly administer the nation till the next election cycle.
holding election every 2.5 years or 3 years by extending the govt tenure to 6 years. this way stability in governance can be maintained.
there should be also the terms where if the elected representatives fail to form a govt, they should be rusticated from appearing in further elections citing their incompetency in forming a govt.
and JP sir suggested head of the states should be elected directly for the states and lower levels for the five years.
there are enough resources available to do the same. that will be great thing.
its time to reform election commission ,transperancy vote, honnest voting system and options to reduce money circulation in elections...equality...

It’s a good idea.. but what about federal structure , infrastructure and personal to conduct all at once.. for that they need to spend more money.. now, they do not and they can reuse.. next what if an assembly is dissolved… president rule is not an answer.. if bjp is in centre and they are not in south and is it not a big slipper shot to people from south where bjp is not ruling to rule a state viz president rule.. then where is the people’s mandate.. this is just an example .. reverse for congress is also applicable..

EC has powers to advance or delay elections by six months. So, nearly 10 states can go to polls along with general elections. There are some BJP ruled states like UP, Uttarakhand & Assam can opt to go for polls by dissolving their assemblies. So, nearly 15-18 states will go. The other states also can be advanced in due course.
