@@HoRNetWeb Can I put in a feature request for VHS? I'd like to be able to set the gain/output of the pluginso that the signal can't potentially clip and it would be even more awesome if we could somehow edit the EQ curve a bit, manually

I hope my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro , 250ohm will soon be in it too. I just cain't waith to try it out. I guess also my neighbours will be happy too , while me focusing for hours on just a few bars of the same music over and over.

I like the demo, sounds good with my Sennheiser HD 400 Pro headphones. I used the 560s profile. I was able to install the AU on my MacBook running Monterey 12.5 but could not get the VST3 to work. Would be nice to have input/output metering and a limiter. Great plugin!

@@HoRNetWeb I purchased the plugin and was able to install the AU and VST versions on two Macs, one M1 MacBook and one Intel iMac. I'm on Logic Pro most the time anyway so the AU was the most important. Thanks!

Looks great.. An output level fader would be great, I'm sure boosting certain frequencies will distort the output of the channel it's on..
VHS does not introduces any nonlinearity so it cannot distort.
Thanks you so much, I am happy that you entered this market because all these other ones are just too expensive. But the room why is the room only long what turning sideways of the room for example, and why is the speakers not able to move wider.

Thank you, we simply did not want to give too much personalisation of the virtual ambience to prevent bad sounding spaces from being created. Also the width of the speakers affects a lot of parameters for the bass response (distance from corners) so we baked in some numbers to keep the computing on the light side.
I really like this concept and I have already bought it. Now I'm just waiting for my Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250 Ohm to be included in the list of profiles. It will be exiting to follow the different stages of development of this tool. By the way. I really liked the music you used as an example. Who is it, and is it something that is going to be released?
Hi we are going to add support for the DT 770 in the next up date coming out in a few days! The song is from my band but I don't know if we'll ever release it (if we do I can't use it anymore on RUclips for my videos :D)

I have the Audio Technica ATH M50x and could hear the difference, it was subtle but definitely noticable, more bassey without the correction applied. A very good song by the way like others are saying.

Thanks for this plugin! I have an ATH M30, and see there is M30x in your list. If there is a significant difference in frequency response between the two would you consider adding the M30? Else I'll just use the M30x preset
Hi as far as I know the only difference between the x and non x models is the detachable cable so you can use the M30x model
Neither of them have a detachable cable, I guess they are nearly identical

You should put this as the last plugin on your master bus since it changes the way you hear the overall sound. Then you should disable it before rendering the track.
Would be nice to have BOSE QC20 in the list at one point. I use these on the move, where a set of bigger cans like ATH-MX50 is not too practical.

Hi Saverio am loving the VHS plugin - excellent work as usual! A quick question - I'm now using VHS with Headphone correction on every track in Reaper via the Monitor FX bus (which I only discovered today!) Does it make sense to leave this on for Monitoring 100% of the time (obviously whilst using these headphones) for all stages of production - or would you just enable the correction when mixing/mastering?
I would simply leave it on every time you use your headphones, I just do this 😄 btw we have an update coming tomorrow that wil almost double the performance!
is this plug using the Oratory 1990 curves? I have had good experiences configuring those curves by hand in Pro Q3. Great to have them ready to go with the bonus of room simulation.
Yep it's one of our databases (we use that plus other hand generated curves)

Where is the best place to basically place the speaker and listener in a room simulation?
well ideally it's the default settings because places you at 1/3 of the room length in order to minimise the nulls in the room frequency response
I've installed the new update (1.4.0 ) and had to rollback to the last version, because of of a bug on the room simulation area. (Win 11/ ryzen 7/32gbRam)...When I put the plugin, it makes a loud click/pop and freezes the cpu usage and nothing comes out in FL Studio's Master channel..but when I switch it off (room simulation) it works fine. Hope it gets fixed...Overall... awesome plugin

Hi, it's no secret that we have used the database found here: github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/master/results then tweaked every correction eq level to have the output at the same lugs level of the input

I would like some advice. I use Akg k240 mk2 (55 ohms) as headphones and have an audient ID14 mk1 as a soundcard.
Do you recommend using a headphone amplifier to properly use my headphones with your plugin, or is my soundcard's headphone output sufficient to drive it?

Hai every standard amplifier should be fine with a 55Ohm impedance, maybe you'll hear a lower volume, but you should be fine.

Hello Saverio! How are you? I have AKG K245 headphones for which there is no profile and I would like to know your opinion on which one I can use in replace from those available in Hornet VHS: K240 MKII, K240 Monitor, K240 Sextett, K240 Studio, K250 and K271 MKII? Greetings from Argentina!
you should really use the right profile. headphones manufacturer can use similar names but the headphone may be completely different. I don't know the specific models yo mention but I'll add your request for the 245 to our list so if we can we will add it on the next update

We can work on that if there is enough demand, the hard part is to write two different virtual audio drivers, one for Mac and the other for windows...
This may seem like a terrible/dumb question... But let's say you apply the Headphone correction on the master bus while doing a mix. Now that the mix is done, do we turn off the plugin before we export the master file? I would think so, but I keep seeing videos where people render with the monitoring on.
Hi if your DAW does not have a control room/ monitor fx chain (like cubase or reaper for example) you should place it on the master and then disable it when you export (otherwise the correction will be applied to your export too). If the daw has a separate monitoring fx chain then the sport will bypass that chain, so you can keep it on.

@@HoRNetWeb IF I may add a suggestion... There is a Sony model that is quite impressive to me as they can reproduce very low frequencies. The Sony XB550AP can reproduce bass that allows one to actually hear booms from when say, a RUclipsr bumps into his desk. I was very surprised by how much lower-frequency stuff passes through unnoticed, and the XB550APs reveal it quite well. For a less expensive headphone, I found this remarkable. Please add them!
Hi! Can i use both correction modes (headphone + room) simultaneously? or only headphone corr. or room correction?
of course you can use both together! but the room module does not do any correction. it's a room simulation that will apply the characteristic of listening through speakers in your headphones.

Hi every Headphone model is loudness compensated so I outputs exactly the same LUFS it has on the input, if you find that a model is wrong please measure the LUFS before VHS and after VHS and let us know using our support section on our website. Thank you
@@HoRNetWeb I’ve placed the plugin last on the master channel (after the limiter). Now my peak level is 3db above the line.
Should I do it differently?
@@mtnspensersnope since we have loudness normalised the profiles single peaks may be higher than 0 if you keep your overall levels high. If you DAW has a monitoring channel is better to put VHS there. Also lower you master if you are worried about overs.
