  • How anybody lives with the performance of the 4HK1 Isuzu trucks (NPS, NPR etc..) is beyond us. A simple tune transforms the way the trucks drive.
    Watch us demonstrate the difference in towing performance with our development NPS.

    Wow, what a huge difference, also great colour for the truck, don’t think you could’ve gone any more orange than that 😅

    I certainly understand your reasoning for doing this, but what are the implications with regard to Isuzu's inbuilt torque limiting feature when in low range, will it still keep the torque limited to the factory specification in first and reverse gears?

    • @staytuned9176
      @staytuned9176  11 месяцев назад +1

      We can retain it or bypass it.

    Hey bud I’m keen to do this as we will be towing a 4T caravan. You reckon it’s worth it for towing? We’re getting a trans cooler put on as well. I understand it voids the warranty but just checking if it’s worth it. Also what speeds you reckon I’ll be doing with a caravan with out the map ?

      Hey mate, definitely worth it. They are painful standard. Even our race setup here (would be lucky to be 2.5t) would see us down to 60kmh on lots of hills. Some one asked the question of price which you didn't answer, can you clarify that ???? also what year is your NPS I noticed there is no Lane departure crap on top of the dash, I have just taken delivery of a brand new 45/155 NPR and it has the same amount of left down steering angle on it, did you not ask for that to be rectified at first service or is it considered to be an Isuzu anomaly.

    • @staytuned9176
      @staytuned9176  9 месяцев назад

      We won't respond to pricing enquiries on RUclips. Send our Facebook pages a message / give us a call and we can clarify that for you. Our steering is off in this video due to suspension changes, nothing to do with Isuzu. We have wheel aligned it since. The 4x4 models don't receive the lane departure tech like the 2wd models.

    That's all good and well... do you tell the customer to keep the revs at 1800rpm up a big long incline??
    The radiator can't handle the heat if you try getting to the top as fast as possible it boils. My experience just cruse up at 1800rpm "no rush"

    • @staytuned9176
      @staytuned9176  3 месяца назад

      Your delusional. The cooling system will handle it perfectly fine. 1800rpm at 90% throttle is worse for exhaust temperatures than 2400rpm at 50% throttle. Don't give anyone that advice....

    • @palma8120
      @palma8120 3 месяца назад

      @staytuned9176 so your telling me you can go up Toowoomba range at 2400rpm pulling 3.5t behind your tuned nps 300 at 100%
      And no extra heat...

    • @staytuned9176
      @staytuned9176  3 месяца назад

      @palma8120 that's not what I said at all. Of coarse if you are at 100% load for an extended period of time the heat energy has to go somewhere. The cooling system on these is extremely robust and I have yet to be able to put it under load long enough to exceed 102 degrees centigrade (and that's on the dyno or big hills).

      It's always something you need to weigh up. The chances of the tune causing a failure is extremely low. Remember, the modification has to be proven to cause the fault. Also, a shop like us will stand behind our product if it did indeed cause an issue

    Excellent video on tuning!
    Altering the factory tune will void your warranty and if your paying 100k
    For a new truck I would suggest it’s not worth it, as soon as you alter or modify anything warranty is void.

    • @staytuned9176
      @staytuned9176  11 месяцев назад +1

      That's not true at all. If the modification is proven to have caused a failure, that component will not be covered. If you put aftermarket wing mirrors on your truck, and the gearbox explodes, it will still be covered under warranty. These are also that abysmal standard, most people would prefer to take the tiny risk

      @@staytuned9176 Isuzu specifys in their warranty agreement that if you alter or modify anything in the truck without authority form Isuzu their is no warranty
      Working an engine harder than it was originally designed for is not a good idea
