Bob on WILTY is one of the high points of a year of television. As David Mitchell burst out this year: "The mind games!” Bob is just this gentle sweet man who tells strange stories that can't be true, but more often than not is. And he's driving both David and the audience into beautiful madness. I absolutely adore Bob. I only recently found out that a small handful of Danish comedians drew a lot of inspiration from Vic and Bob from 20-25 years ago and are almost the sole reason why Danish humour is so similar to British humour today.

I'm a huge fan of WILTY and, like Rob says, Bob is an incredibly entertaining fellow. Hadn't heard about his health issues but am thrilled that he appears in good health. That said, I wish to thank Rob, David, and Lee for this top-class entertainment. I hope you'll continue the show for the unforeseeable future. It never gets old.
I used to watch Shooting Stars and sometimes it seemed that Vic was the big talent... but then I realised years ago that Bob is actually a natural comic genius. Every time he speaks, I anticipate something funny, but he just exceeds all my expectations. A gift to the world, thank you Bob!
I've only gotten to know Bob Mortimer's work over the last 7 years and his madcap mind and verbal sidewinders have me laughing proper loud. That hasn't happened much in the last 3 years. Look forward to more from Bob and WILTY.
Nice to see Bob on here, only really came across him a couple of years ago through WILTY videos on RUclips. He`s become a favourite person on earth now, take care Bob and hope to see you in something new in a not too distant future :)
Have you seen Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing? Sounds quite boring! I'm certainly not into fishing...if you haven't seen it ,it's okay, you can thank me later. 😆
I do love Bob Mortimer. I was never a big fan of Vic, or Jimbo, as I found his humour a bit too forced whereas Bob always seemed like he was having a great time doing funny stuff. I didn't know about the heart bypass. What a scary thing to realise you were moments from death but felt alright. We need more crazy stories from your life on WILTY, they make for the best of episodes. God bless you Bob and family.
You need to find and watch this series. Bobs friend took him fishing to get over depression after the surgery. Its incredible. Never originally meant to be filmed. I will watch WILTY on my phone while I make dinner, fold laundry, do dishes, what have you, and I always have to completely stop what I’m doing and give my full attention whenever Bob’s turn comes up. It is an experience, and I find myself gazing just as Rob described.
Got to admit I welled up there at the end. Bob is the best, been watching him since Big Night Out and saw him just before the pandemic doing Athletico Mince in Glasgow. He was very lively on stage that night. Do some more exercise Bob, and have a campachoochoo on me!
Hi Rob, I think there was an opportunity missed to start this interview with you visiting Bob's house and arriving via the back garden trying out a game of theft and shrubbery
I'm in Australia and my kids have loved you guys and your mates, Lee and David etc, for years. They're only in their twenties and we all still watch you guys when ever we get the chance. The best kind of laughs. You can be so consistently funny without one F word....lets see the young guys do that.
Love Bob! Grateful too for the generosity of Jim Moir (Vic Reeves) for sharing the spotlight he could otherwise have kept for himself. Loving Bob's audiobook/autobiography, 'And away'.....as funny, self-deprecating and warm as you would expect. He's a gem.
You light up my morning Rob. Listening to you and Bob has me in stitches and I consider 10 minutes of listening to you two each morning on old WILTY series, I consider part of my wake up routine. ;.P We need more of you two. Bob's naturally inane way of being funny about every day life and your dry humour is the formula for my giggles for sure.
I have been admiring Rob’s humbleness and modesty as Wilty’s host. Hearing from Bob that, how together with David and Lee, they comfort the guests is heart warming. All of you are great comedians making us heartily laugh but you are all GOOD people as well. 🙏🙏

I have been laughing so hard, to the point of passing out , that this other side of them was a special moment.
Thank you to all from the other side of the pond.
Leo from San Diego.
I can't get enough of Bob Mortimer
Love you both so much! Bob needs to be on WILTY more often! He is one of my absolute favourites, top five favourites for sure! Sending much love from Canada xo
"An old face who I vaguely knew from Middlesbrough knocked on my door. Cheeseman, we used to call him."
"I don't remember what he was called, but he had a really big head."

We called him cheesy because his mum gave him cheese for his face to avoid spots.. not because of his surname of course 😂

What a wonderful interview! It’s really true that Bob is the number one guest in WILTY.
Jesus!...the first experience for me to see Bob sharing outside of the comedy domain....I am totally humbled...and thank you all
I hope Bob knows just how much he is loved.
One of my favourite Comedians being interviewed by another of my favourites. A great treat. Thank you both.
Bob is my favorite storyteller, and my favorite person on WILTY. He is so genuine, kind, and hilarious! 💜
Love love love Bob Mortimer. He is a comedic genius!
What a clever, erudite, random genuine and hilarious bloke. Love ya Bob.
You two make the world a much better place. Peace and love for you both.
The one we've all been waiting for. Bob Mortimer - the funniest man in the known universe.
I wish I had a whole day with bob to just sit and listen to his stories
I've only gotten to know Bob Mortimer's work over the last 7 years and his madcap mind and verbal sidewinders have me laughing proper loud. That hasn't happened much in the last 3 years. Look forward to more from Bob and WILTY.
Find his amazingly funny podcast - Athletico Mince - that is all.
@@davidavien4338 Title already has me interested. cheers
@@davidavien4338 I listened to that podcast years ago and it now feels like a crazy fever dream. Those Tottenham skits were legendary

Bob Mortimer is easily my favorite guest! Thank You!!!
Nice to see Bob on here, only really came across him a couple of years ago
through WILTY videos on RUclips. He`s become a favourite person on earth now,
take care Bob and hope to see you in something new in a not too distant future :)
Have you seen Mortimer & Whitehouse Gone Fishing? Sounds quite boring! I'm certainly not into fishing...if you haven't seen it ,it's okay, you can thank me later. 😆
@@torchw00duk I have seen it, swedish television have showed it starting about 12-18 months ago, and i like it a lot :)
Four seasons made now and you will laugh out loud as it is just watching two friends fishing and having a laugh.: ruclips.net/video/ZAO0lYdalmA/видео.html
Bob Mortimer is one off the funniest humans on the 🌏 , let only 🇬🇧.
Such lovely, heart warming humour!
How he and Vic have not been Knighted is beyond belief!?
Who are you talking about.
Love your interviews Bob. Any more seasons of Would I Lie to you. Still watching repeats. The wittiest show on TV.
Rob should do a four way with Bob, David & Lee. Just raw magical comedy essence in its primal form.
I absolutely adore Bob. This is a lovely, warm chat. Kudos lads.
I do beg you pardon but we are in your garden. WE DO BEG YOUR PARDON, BUT WE ARE IN YOUR GARDEN
How I'd love to do that in Bob's garden! 🤣
I am a huge Bob Mortimer fan, first time I ever saw him was on WILTY and he had me in hysterics.
The greatest man on earth. Truly special talent, but also so warm and kind.
What a heart-warming, beautiful episode! Love the humanity and vulnerability of both. Thank you for what you do ❤️
I love how you chastise Bob on the lack of exercise! We need to protect this delight to humanity! Loved the insights he gave about WILTY. I'm sure the ambience you create must go a long way in making the show what it is. Love from India!
Bob is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE guest on WILTY. Love this interview Rob. Thank you.
only found out about this show this year and I love hearing Bob's stories. Such an odd life but can see he's a national treasure. I love this show so much
I will watch WILTY on my phone while I make dinner, fold laundry, do dishes, what have you, and I always have to completely stop what I’m doing and give my full attention whenever Bob’s turn comes up. It is an experience, and I find myself gazing just as Rob described.
Bob one of the only comedians on WILTY that makes Lee Mack crease up! Very genuinely funny bloke!
Ah that's true!
My favourite WILTY guest too and a lovely, lovely man. Bob - if you are reading this thanks so much for the absolute joy you bring.
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm in Australia and my kids have loved you guys and your mates, Lee and David etc, for years. They're only in their twenties and we all still watch you guys when ever we get the chance. The best kind of laughs. You can be so consistently funny without one F word....lets see the young guys do that.
I can't stop watching Paul and Bob and their fishing natter. It cheers me up no end. Series 4 please!
From Singapore, I love wilty with Rob, Lee and mack. But it's on another level when Bob's around.
Have just watched this 😅 love all the crew on WILTY, but have a special love for Bob Mortimer.
Bob has a cult following, it's the biggest cult in England and we're all in it. Funniest bloke on the planet.
Was never a massive vic & Bob fan, but his ‘train guy’ stands up to anything office, peep-show or curb. No props, no sets just pure brilliance ❤🎉
I have been admiring Rob’s humbleness and modesty as Wilty’s host. Hearing from Bob that, how together with David and Lee, they comfort the guests is heart warming. All of you are great comedians making us heartily laugh but you are all GOOD people as well. 🙏🙏
I appreciate you greatly Bob and thank you for the Gone fishing programmes with Paul Whitehouse, I find them so appealing and most of all relaxing, they calm my nerves. So thank you and Paul. Also you are exceptional on Would I lie to you. Keep up the good work.
Bob Mortimer is an absolute Legend, thank you so so much for streaming that interview
