Me and the other half love WILTY. We feel involved and it's far better than most of its competitors. 8 out of ten cats comes nowhere near. Hopefully we will see WILTY on our screens for many years to come.
Thank you Rob, these interviews are wonderful. Hope you and your family doing well. I love Lee, David, Bob, and Jimmy Carr, and you introduced me to brilliant comedians that are new to me. Thanks for sharing the full interview, Hope there's a place to watch it too..
Best Wishes,

I’d have Bob on WILTY every week. He’s my favourite
Spotify? I'm already here. I'm too old for multiple applications. Just have your wife upload the full interviews here and claim ignorance if the suits at Spotify kick up a fuss.
Yourself and Bob have a great rapport on WILTY which the audience absolutely love, with David and Lee it appears more antagonistic which is still extremely entertaining. I love these interviews a damn good job,we all want to see more of the gang together ✌️🍻
Lol Bob doesn’t think he appeals to younger people. As an 18 year old, I love his and Rob’s work.
Great! He's such a loveable guy, isn't he?
He's just daft fun, and that's cross generational
I'm almost 44 and I love Bob Mortimer. There isn't a minute that goes by when he's on the screen (esp on WILTY) when he doesn't make me laugh or at least smile.
WILTY is a brilliant show but its even better when Bob's! He's clever and daft at the same time which is so funny, and all the other guest's find him so funny which isn't rehearsed
@@csgollum I'm also 44. Finding WILTY and other British shows on RUclips got me through a major illness and surgery in 2017. Finding them was a happy accident and I've continued to watch ever since! I started with Bob's fireworks story on WILTY and haven't looked back! I agree that Bob appeals to all ages and has the best stoties!
Let us gather ‘round the fire and listen to the enthralling tales of Bob Mortimer.
I hope Bob will be back, on WILTY.....he's so missed...

It would such a good show on its own. He really should do it.

While I'm here for Bob, I simply have to mention that Rob somehow manages to immediately establish a warm environment and a pleasant pace. WILTY is such a great experience thanks to him. Also He and Bob are both great at letting others shine while being perfectly capable of triggering hysterical laughter at any moment.
Totally agree.
Yeah you just hve to watch online the first season episodes when he wasnt the host and how it changed afterwards
And he has snacks, according to James Acaster.
Rob is good because he SHUTS UP and lets the interviewee answer....
As a Welsh bloke myself I automatically feel a rapport with rob but as a teenager Vic and Bob were my bread and butter(Vic was the bread) so they're like corner lamps and table nests to me now that I'm 102 years old 😅
Bob Mortimer is one of my all-time favourite people to watch, just a naturally funny story teller.
Rob's so right. Everyone loves Bob on WILTY. He is out there as a storyteller in a league of his own. Love you, Bob!
I think he reads the card and panics then makes up some weird and wonderful story.... that happens to be true!
Every episode with him is a classic!
"Sniper's dream, they used to call him"
@@travosk8668 His names are hilarious!
Agreed 100%. Discovering Bob Mortimer & WILTY helped this American laugh through this pandemic. Just a true gift!
Who doesn’t love Bob Mortimer? I LOVE HIM! Bob, you are the best!
Absolutely
It's a bit embarrassing how much this means to me - but every so often my wife, looking out the window, will say, "We do beg your pardon, but we are in your garden..." - and this makes me love her - maybe even more than I can imagine. Some time ago, I showed her the WILTY episode with Bob and his story because I enjoyed it so much - and the fact that she loved it, and enjoyed it enough to quote it, makes me happy.
It’s the Best when your sweetheart makes you laugh and you have this indescribable communication, especially privately, in a crowd that can set each other off! It’s wonderful!

Sergeant Bytheway?
As someone who sometimes does improv, I consider Bob the absolute grand master. His appearances on WILTY are like watching masterclass after masterclass. How to get people laughing hysterically over ordinary lines. How to walk the razor's edge of believability. How to entrance the audience so much they don't care that they know you're lying. A lifetime of lessons, five minutes at a time.
Very well said!
LEGEND BOB. I can watch your Wilty stuff over and over. Hillarious. Fishing show is fab too. 😂👍❤
Watching David Mitchell's gradual meltdowns when he has to decide are funny too!

I hear Cheeseman very good at this
The fact that Bob's stories and compilations on WILTY rake up 15m+ views per video is a testament to how much the younger generation loves him. I wish him good health and hope that he may have one or two more insane stories to share if he decides to join them for a future episode ❤️

Bob has always been my favourite WILTY guest so this is wonderful to see.
This is a great channel, Rob - I love seeing the human side behind all these people who have made me laugh for all these years.

@@RobBrydon Bob has always been a big favourite of mine, from my first introduction to Vic's Big Night Out - awesome fella - comes across as sucj a lovely and genuine bloke. WILTY is one of the few game shows that crack me up. The quick witted humour from you all is genius!
Thank you for this interview and for WILTY Rob!
I do beg you pardon but we are in your garden. WE DO BEG YOUR PARDON, BUT WE ARE IN YOUR GARDEN
How I'd love to do that in Bob's garden! 🤣
What I would pay (a 17 year old so I promise you're loved by da youth) to see a tv show with Bob Mortimer and Rob Brydon where they just travel and do random stuff
have you seen him on Travel Man? Hilarious
Rob is a generous, warm and encouraging interviewer. Love his and Bob Mortimer's work on WILTY.
That's how I got to know them and am SO grateful. That show has made me smile almost more than the idea of winning the lottery.
My sister was due to have her baby recently. With Covid restrictions in place, her husband wasn't able to go with her to the hospital. She was bored out of her mind and she is a big WILTY fan, so I sent her some Bob Mortimer WILTY clips she had never seen before.
She told me later that she had to stop watching because she was laughing so hard it was causing her pain and the midwife yelled at her for it lol!
I completely understand that
That was great
10 minutes for all of us over 60is fine👍
great human being is Bob.
gifted, gentle and so modest
It's quite touching how shy he is. I never would have thought of that, from his performing.
Bob on WILTY is one of the high points of a year of television. As David Mitchell burst out this year: "The mind games!”
Bob is just this gentle sweet man who tells strange stories that can't be true, but more often than not is. And he's driving both David and the audience into beautiful madness. It's just wonderful and it's also the only episode every year when the real engine of the show, Lee Mack, can sit back a bit and not take the lead.
I'm currently halfway through Bob's autobiography and my God what a life he's lead. An absolute legend of a man and I know it's an overused term, but a national treasure. I always love watching these interviews Rob, keep it up!
WILTY has featured some of the funniest moments on TV for the last decade. Most of them are the Bob Mortimer bits.
Bob Mortimer and Greg Davis have the most insane WILTY stories, most of which care likely true.
Bob just comes across as probably one of the nicest most genuine man
Bob is a genuinely funny all round great comedian, his daft stories crack you up. Rather than an endless stream of jokes he quietly welcomes you into his mad world ..we need more Bob. He truly is a national treasure. We used to live near the Albany in Deptford in the mid 80s where Vic Reeves Big Night Out was on and from the posters I always thought it looked worth going to but we had 2 small kids and no childcare at the time so never managed it. So wish we'd been able to go. Vic and Bob together was sheer madness.
Everytime Bob turns up on WILTY my wife and I both wait in anticipation for his diabolically convoluted and weird stories.
We will literally say "It's true" to almost anything he says because so often it is!
There is this anticipatory excitement that I love. We genuinely pay really close attention and laugh through the whole performance.
He's a genuinely funny man whom we adore.
I love Bob, I can't begin to count the number of times I re-watched his WILTY highlights
I watch them all the time.....and laugh like a loon EVERY time!
Thank you for hosting Bob Mortimer. He is the sweetest man and most genuine soul. Very much enjoyed your interview with him.
Rob and David Mitchell BOTH gaze adoringly at Bob Mortimer, and it expresses my feeling exactly! I adore Bob Mortimer! He makes me laugh so hard, and I love the weird world he creates! I live in the U.S. and to think that without WILTY I would never have entered the Moritmerian spinning universe! I love him!
And Lee!
I do beg your pardon, we are in your garden. 😂😂😂
There's one thing about this show that feels very akin to The Hot Ones and it's that the interviews feel very genuine. The people who show up and talk are in the comforts of their own home, speaking to a peer in the industry, and aren't expected to be "on" - and that's what I really enjoy about this channel and why I keep coming back. You get to see the person, the human being.
Keep it up Rob. You, along with many of your coworkers and guests, still have a huge fanbase with the newer generations. Authenticity lends itself well to longevity.
Cheers from Iceland.
I absolutely adore Bob. I only recently found out that a small handful of Danish comedians drew a lot of inspiration from Vic and Bob from 20-25 years ago and are almost the sole reason why Danish humour is so similar to British humour today.
Love Bob so much. He is (in equal measure) absolutely hilarious and incredibly lovely. Perfect combo really.
And he's incredibly clever...
What a lovely, talented man .. strike that … what lovely talented men! I love listening to both of them. They both make me laugh so much. But imagine what grief and worry Bob must have gone through back in the day alone in London after a breakup and kudos to him for overcoming that and becoming one of the greats of British comedy! Well done chap! You are loved and appreciated. Thanks both of you.

The love and admiration Rob has (and that so many of us share) for Bob really shine through this interview, especially toward the end when asking him to do more exercise an look after himself. That so clearly comes from a place of concern and wanting Bob to be happy, healthy and with us for as long as possible.
Two wonderful and hilarious people having such a warm conversation is a pure joy to watch.
I have watched panel shows only on youtube and frankly, I've never laughed so hard as when Bob Mortimer takes viewers on his journey of absurd but amazingly human spin.

He sounds very quiet in these sorts of interviews though. Like fingerprints on an abandoned handrail.
‘’Fingerprints on an abandoned handrail’’ … fantastic line! Did you come up with that? It’s very evocative. If you made that one up, you should consider a writing career!!!
@@gudgengrebe I wish I could claim that one, and I am considering a career in writing, but that line was said by Mr Bob "I always crack an egg into my bath" Mortimer himself on WILTY.

I wish we had more celebrities like Bob in America. A lot of things he's experienced are so outlandish that I just go in assuming everything he says on WILTY is true. I wouldn't be shocked to find out one day he's the real Dr. Who.

Bob is by far the funniest person on WILTY,also the way he irates DAVID is brilliant!
I am a huge Bob Mortimer fan, first time I ever saw him was on WILTY and he had me in hysterics.
I do love Bob Mortimer. I was never a big fan of Vic, or Jimbo, as I found his humour a bit too forced whereas Bob always seemed like he was having a great time doing funny stuff. I stood next to Bob Mortimer at a bus stop on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough back in the early 90's. I was too starstruck to say hello! I hope to meet him again someday and say hello properly, also ask his advice on what the best utensil would be for removing a vexed stoat from a length of B&Q waste pipe.
Back in the 90s, sometimes Vic & Bob (and, on one occasion, Ulrika) would drink in my local with some mutual friends & I was fortunate enough to spend an evening or two in their company. All of them were as genuine & as good company as you could hope for.

Started watching WILTY when I was around 22, I'm 28 now. And Rob, you are one of the best TV hosts on any TV show I've ever seen. Honestly! I think it can be seen if you compare the show to previous seasons, Rob has created a certain chemistry with Lee and David. And as mentioned, Bob is definitely the best storyteller and guest! Thank you guys for your amazing work.
I just wish you guys would be pushed to do stuff in your everyday life to affect the show, example, "This is John, I snatched a burger from his hand and ate it infront of him at McDonald's becuase WILTY ordered me too."
It would add a new twist to it making it harder for Lee and David if the production would push it so far sometimes or if either one of you three would go along with it. I don't know but the show could be improved with new fun formats.
Mr Mortimer is one of the funnest guys on ‘Would I lie to you?’ You really don’t know what he is going to come up with. He can take a few words and turn them into a story that only he could make you believe it is true. Like they say…”only Bob!” A story that sticks in my mind is the one about the ‘old pillow and sick owl’. (‘Just meat and feathers’) Thank you both for all the laughter.
Even though he's been around a long time, I think Bob's comedy is a breath of fresh air. It's kind-hearted, good natured, apolitical, not very cynical and just about having fun and being a bit daft.
I adore Bob Mortimer - he is one of the funniest people I have ever seen. Absolute legend.
