RIP Treat Williams! :(
Lyrics:
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
The Age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!
Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius! Aquarius!
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
The Age of Aquarius
Aquarius!
Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or decisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius! Aquarius!
Aquarius! Aquarius!
Aquarius!
RIP Treat Williams! 😔
That really broke my heart, almost as much as Tina Turner.
I still canno't believe it .. 😭😭😭🖤💔💔
I get chills every time I listen and watch these scenes, he was lucky to live in this era that will never come back...☮💘
Me too
As were we all!
Easily one of the best adaptations of a musical to film thanks to the brilliant Miloš Forman.
Oh yeah
I always thought the film worked even better than the stage musical.
Whoever it is slapping that bass guitar deserves a firm handshake and a beer. Damn that's what funk is all about right there yall
@@h.donnellgrayiii4276
That is of course Wilbur Bascomb, legendary bass player. He and drummer Bernard Purdie carry the entire soundtrack
Every beat is funky as hell
Mad props to the singer, she absolutely ruled this.
who is she she is so amazing
Very underrated film. This scene is so cleverly done
Renn Woods' vocals are stunning!
especially when she got even higher, in the later part of the song.
just WOW.....
absolutely!!!!!
I’m not a fan of musicals but Hair is a great movie and has some great songs.
Right there with you
That bass player is deadly...he kils it everytime I hear this song....never fails and never gets old.
Wilbur Bascomb
Groove master
The bass player, on a recording, "kils [sic] it everytime [sic]," you hear the recording of the song? And that is surprising to you? I am glad I missed that bit of the '70's. It seems to have had a lasting effect.
@@FinnMcRiangabra
I wouldn't take it so seriously. Bottle of rum and feeling groovy, everybodys out of sync.
Try this vinegar, it's on the house. @@FinnMcRiangabra
@@klaasklapsigaar1081 No thanks. I'll stick with the occasional critique of bizarre posts that seem to miss the fact that recordings sound pretty much the same each time. But the '70's were a wild and horrible time
This song, the depth of the bass, the flips, dancing, swirling cameras around the lead singers, the choreography...
Well ive played it 5 times today
Tez tak mam Poland pozdrawia🙋
I saw this in theaters when it came out and it was amazing! The soundtrack is, just, heavenly.
With each comes a 🎬 movie,no problem, they are all also trailors
ditto, love it still
sad that treat williams died not only in the movie but also in real life. what a beautiful song the message from the movie i love it.everything. flower power.❤
The voice of the singer is beyond comparison
I suppose she could be compared to Irene Cara
I just learned the singers name is Renn Woods. She was 20 years old when the movie Hair was filmed. She is listed In Wikipedia with more life and career info. It’s a shame she didn’t get more prominent singing and acting roles . She has an awesome voice
I basically came here to say that. Two minutes into the movie, and I was already in love with it largely thanks to her.
Renn Woods is the bomb in this movie. Ten minutes into the movie and mind blown.
Najbolji mjuzikl svih vremena.Vodolija.Kosa.Kad su ljudi bili ljudi.Volim kosu.
Suzana.
I was a teenager when this first came out. The song and the show had a big affect on my life and it still does today!
Choreography by Twyla Tharp is wonderful.
She’s the strawberry blonde woman in the green bikini top and wide jeans. An amazing dancer as well as choreographer!
I once saw the movie projected by the bandshell in Central Park (where much of it was filmed). Twyla Tharp introduced it. Magical.
Bass line groove and killer horns....so tasty. Love is the answer people. How many times do we have to hear the same friggin message. Screw politics. What do you gain with radical politics? What do you win? Just love people and everything will work out. THINK GOD.
☝🏻 THIS ☝🏻
So, what you're telling us is that you're not connected with reality.
As for god, which one? You must be American.
@@Tinker1950 sure. Sounds good. I don't debate with people who think they know it all already.

Quod erat demonstrandum applies.
The best music never dies...
The original and at its time is the better than better
This song always puts me in a good mood. Loved the movie. Now 70 have so many memories of living thru the era. I wished I had kept some of my hippie clothes. But back then I never thought ahead and we moved a lot. I had hot pants and go go boots and halter tops. Fun times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The young man in the suit looks like the cute man in "Deer Hunter".
I had the same clothing, plus an army jacket a long denim skirt and satin trousers
Listening to this is like entering into different state of mind- marvellous. Headphone expierence.
Rest in peace treat Williams I'm so sorry this happened to you in
*Ren Woods was so gorgeous, unbelievable perfect voice and face*
The wild ones went to Woodstock. The unlucky ones went to Vietnam. The ones who didn’t knew where they were going, I think they went to Broadmore or whatever the psychiatric hospital is called. And state hospitals are a lot better than private hospitals. At least we got to work, get paychecks, and shop. Private hospital is when you might never leave. My uncle is a Vietnam veteran. He’s great.
wow the sound is amazing! I hit play and the bass almost blew the headphones off my head! ha ha ha ha..
Same here
Love this comment!
welcome to hair🤘🤘🤘
No it isn't and unless its 4k it downloads at 128 bitrate and misses all the high notes.
Música do Filme "Hair". Ótima música. O vocal então nem se fala! Vi o filme, muito bom!
Totally cool... The musical came when I was in high school and the movie came out just as I was graduating grad school. Great music and a story line that had a lot of meaning for those of us who had to be worried about getting drafted and sent to "Nam".
I have gone to one play in my life. Hair. Didn't want to go, but did. Went to see it 8 more times. Priceless!!
Maybe see another play. Seems to have worked out so far.
Long, long ago !
I have seen this musical live twice , gracious me, was I young ! I still love the songs.
Ahh 1980.. I was 12.. This movie always stuck with me.. Don't make em like this anymore... Love this song and entire soundtrack
It was such a great time and a kick ass movie!Love the scenes at the end for Let the Sunshine In
Yes. Brilliant
Agreed.
Wow. I loved the 60s and this was once my favorite movies. Seeing this piece again reignites my inner joy and inspiration. Peace.
The movie is from 1979 though, and the soundtrack totally reflects this )
This musical had some great pieces and choreography in it, I don’t care what anybody says!
you sad nothing wrong. i like the movie. the message but not every song i iike. the most. . who cares it is Just a opinion.
Harmony & understanding is the golden formula !
Where have all the flower children gone? We didn't dance, at least not quite like that! but we did sit and make daisy chains or play a guitar etc. What happened to my friends I wonder...different roads and paths. When I was very young I yearned to be a Gypsy, a people I have great respect for, but alas, no, a bourgeois child...but several years later, enter these people, children of the sun, it was karmic grace- THE HIPPIES and I got to become the best I ever was! Namaste Z.
The vocal artist is Renn Woods.
Back to my youth.
Chills Smiles and Tears.
Just makes me miss myself terribly. The optimism, openly singing about an age of peace....understanding....brother and sisterhood....friendship...harmony...working in unison. Now i just.lament the sad state of affairs in our world. All that work for civil rights, equality,.and a better future for our children . Shit i just wanna go back. Screw this future crap.
@@thomasmartin7425 I heard that!!!
@@thomasmartin7425vero amico. Però noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di esserci e proprio in quel tempo meraviglioso. Sempre giovani, in fondo...
Amazing sound on this one every instrument comes out clean as a whistle
This song and the dancers in the video express exactly how I felt last year when I left the Left.
This is more ballet than traditional ballet! Brilliant!
Beautiful
Really beautiful. It was a wonderful time to be young. All the good and the bad. Thank you for this.
The dancing, I cant help but notice is very similar to the first movie production of Jesus Christ, Superstar. The 70s version. Amazing dancing, but definitely required alot of strenth and endurance!
A Masterpiece, thank you.
What an incredible voice
Totally. I always wished there was a Judas Priest cover of this song.
Right? Ren Woods... I saw her play Dorothy in The Wiz back in the day
O melhor musical do Mundo!🌎🎶😃👍
Amazing. Masterpiece. Miloš Forman. Brutally glorified in Eastern Europe. Again masterpiece
Very beautiful friesian horses.
The original song aired in 1969. I remember it well, being an aquarious. I knew its deeper meaning. Their dancing is all about love generating a thickening with an obviously felt reality.
AWESOME!!! Finally a remastered version (yes it took me 10 years to come across it, but that's just me being me)
This movie changed my life and the way I think and see reality
Yeah, messed up mine too..
I remember lobbying to see Hair during our senior HS trip to HYC in 1969. Tickets were not available. 50 years later, I still await the return of this play!
My whole life this song tears me apart
my tears fall...
💗🙏🏻
Yeah..Theres so much, what, pure love of life? Theres also a song at the end of the movie, that once you know the context, youll have a tear. It is a beautiful acknowledgement.
Putz de volta aos anos 60 ...... deslumbrante , para quem viveu e permanece com essa chama viva, dentro de si .... C'est moi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rip Treat Williams
Very good
Thank you Mihai; Thank you for giving us this production. it's
a MASTERPIECE!
So good
Assisti este maravilhoso filme na época,no cinema, amo até hoje, assisto no yuo tube, gosto muito do musical ❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sim...
Eu também.
E tornou-se um de meus favoritos de todos os tempos.
Beautiful horses. Lovely to look at and well trained.
Not Friesians. The breed was still rare then. Most likely Andalusians.
SUCH AMAZING BEAUTIFUL HORESES
This sounds and looks GREAT...........thanks!
This musical is fantastic. The film adaptation is wonderful. Sadly, we've regressed back into an age of Aries.
more like fairies
Un musical que no envejece; la música es poderosa el guión sigue siendo fresco y original (para nuestra desgracia). la vía hace 30 años y como si fuera el primer día, fabulosa película
I've got goose bumps. Excellent. ❤
oh thanks for so NICE quality Mihai :) ! U did great job
You are all quite welcome! ;)
This song is amazing ❤🎉 " AGE OF AQUARIUSS"
This sound is wonderful!!!
glorious!
Amazing....Absolutely voice of an age...
Flower power broke the fullness of military power. But now all the flowers are gone. Lost to the mighty forces of darkness in America.
Brilliant! The sound is really spectacular, without losing the characteristics of the original song. You should do the same with The Flesh Failures (in my opinion, the best song in the musical)!
Yes, this is the best sound. Thanks for reuploading this great track! I love it! ❤
peace and love
o.k. I want to see this movie again!!! peace and love!!!
Have fun exploring upstairs: know some will say RIP Treat Williams, but having been one of the good guys, I dare say , he's loving it all...
Sou grato a Deus por permitir eu ter vivido esta época!
Também rocking Rio I! Aquilo foi rock!😊

Amo ouvir essa lindíssima canção 👏❤👍💞.
R.I.P. Treat Williams! Great actor
Came to N.Y.C. in 1987 and started doing theatre. One of the actresses in a show I did said she was a dancer in this movie. Probably this number!
I saw it in London, and loved it.
i loved this musical beautiful music and the message flower power. treat williams etc.flower power.what a time ❤😊
Hair é meu filme número 1.
Isto é de uma força...
Fantástico!
Essas roupas influenciaram os jovens do mundo inteiro na época. Vivi essa época
That’s my era, and it’s beautiful ❤❤❤☮️☮️☮️☮️👍👍👍👍
L'ho visto 10 volte, ai tempi. Continua a riempirmi di stupore e di selvaggia felicità ❤
Its not over. It is the storm before the calm. The old being cleared away for the new to be birthed. The Age of Aquarius officially begins 2030's.
Um de meus filmes favoritos de todos os tempos.
😍♥️😍♥️😍♥️😍♥️😍🇧🇷
yes yes yes thank u man, been searching for loud version...pretty much all my life :D
Buongiorno Marco il capellone e buon sabato mattino
I love to hear this song and think back on those times, and how we dropped every single fucking ideal we had like a baby with a rattle, and now we've become shrill mockeries of our parents and have made the world measurably worse.
Hey, some of those babies aren't going to leave you guys behind. We know you guys meant well and that you tried to make things happen. That's why GenX-Millennial-and GenZ are now trying to put the concepts into practice. And some of us are managing to Balance that thing you considered a Mockery and this Earth Saving Dream. And it's actually because we learned from the OGs themselves. You guys.
It’s called growing up.
And too much MaryJane
How funky was that? Whoa! What a way to start the day off right
Treat Williams RIP!
This movie made a massive inpact in my wee life one of the best story about friendship. Today there is none. Jah bless people take care of eachother as we are here for a short amount of time
I love this film based on the musical! Daring, in your face courageous adaptation!
Thanks a lot, man! Beautifull! Big hug from Argentina :)))
And Brazil too... 🇧🇷
The opening scene where the singular faces of the players come out of the darkness is a classic; the band REM aped the idea to great effect at the very end of their video for “The One I Love” !!!
Fantastic movie ,love it , bought it.
Excelente obra musical que marco a muchísimas generaciones desde los años 60 en adelante
Isso mesmo...é o meu preferido...Brazil 2021
