I had to come watch this today.
In 1979, I was about 15 years old when Hair, the movie came out. I thought Berger was the most fascinating character and very good looking,
I kind of fan-girled over him for most of the summer. I'm 59 now, will be 60 this November, and I still find Berger to be quite good looking! The clothing and hair styles in this movie make me nostalgic for the 70's : )
    Rest In Peace Treat Williams.

The conversation between Burger and the thing that did not care means so much more to me now that I'm old enough to understand that they really do not care. And it now hits me that Burger was talking about himself fighting (dying) for those who do not care. Story foreshadowing at its finest, sadly, due to its being rooted in so much truth.
