- Paula and Dean share their experience moving to Rio Mar in San Carlos, Panama.
San Carlos, Panama, is a charming coastal town located along the Pacific coast, about an hour and a half from Panama City. Known for its tranquil beaches, it's a popular destination for surfers and those seeking a peaceful seaside escape. The area offers a relaxed lifestyle with easy access to amenities while still retaining a small-town feel.
In addition to its natural beauty, San Carlos has seen increasing development in recent years, making it appealing to expats and retirees looking for a balance between modern conveniences and a slower pace of life. I like all of the videos that I've watched, but I absolutely loved this one. Keep up the good work Jackie, thank you for all you do. I will be in Panama on 10/04/2024 to get my temporary visa.

Thank you!
Hi guys, I'm thinking of making the move for my retirement....I'm from Indy as well😊
Go Hoosiers!
I can't wait for this one! I lived in Panama (Army brat😊) during the late 60's. We would always go to Rio Mar to surf...and just hang out. Great times! Edna
We love Panama!
Rio Mar is my favorite beach community. Thank you for sharing your story.
@@blacktravelswell400 thanks for watching
Finally we can find at the channel showing something really decent and classy in Panama. Yes, such places do exist and RioMar is one of the top ones. Welcome Paula and Dean to our paradise 😀
Thank you! So happy to be here!
MY RULE TO STAYING OR LIVING IN ANY HIGH RISE DWELLING...NEVER GO HIGHER THAN THE TALLEST LADDER TRUCK FIRE TRUCK.
Which is what floor?
@@rodmosley1699 I would think 3 floors there. Panama firetrucks capabilities might be different than the US ones.
Thank you! The bible reference is exactly what I needed to hear! No fear!
Glad it was helpful!
Ive been in their place! Its sickkkkkkkk. Ask them about the Moon Man! :-P
I could live there!
Very chic couple! They love Panama. I recognize all the stores and areas they are talking about!
@@tonyurrutia4308 they LOVE living in Panama!
They are adorable! ❤ But that area looks pricey. Nice but $$$
Expensive compared to where? We live for MUCH less here than we did in the US. There are much less and much more expensive areas around Panama. Work through your personal budget and see what works for you. 🌞🌴
@@pkfreedomgirl HOA at $500/month is pretty expensive for Panama. I realize there are a few other developments with higher HOA's but this is pretty spendy for Panama.
@@mtngrl5859life is a choice. We chose here for so many reasons. Yes, we pay just below $500 which is higher than other properties. We love the smaller property and the other residents so much. We also are floored at how amazingly well it is maintained. The fees also includes our gyms, a spa, our gas and water and a parking spot within a covered garage. So, for us, it is perfect. 😊
@@mtngrl5859 while it is true that we could have chosen a much less expensive area, we chose it here for SO many reasons. Our fee is below $500 but it includes our water, gas, a gym, a spa, a beach we like (with pirate caves and a surf school), perfectly manicured grounds and an amazing community of like-minded people who we simply adore.
Definitely do your research when coming to Panama. There is something here for everyone. We are so thankful to be where we are.
I have stayed here for weeks! I first went there in 1994.
Wonderful!
They really loves thunderstorms 😂😅😂I mean Panamanian people close everything when there is a thunderstorm 😂😂
Well, when you have lived in a state where you have seen entire neighborhoods and towns flattened by tornados, a big thunderstorm is fun to watch and ride out!
Loved this , thank you for making this video
Glad you enjoyed it!
👋 Bill is waven a hand from Arizona 🌵
Beautiful video!
Cool. I live in Indianapolis. I grew up in Panama and Rio Mar was my favorite beach. There was absolutely no development. Just some bohios where you could spread out your picnic lunch.
We have seen pictures of it back in the day and it looked magical! I'm so happy you got to experience it here. Indy is wonderful too for different reasons.
Im in Indianapolis too! Leaving soon.
@@naspa0307 I called Indianapolis home for 54 years and Dean for 61 years. Hoosiers born and bread.
I LOVE these guys... but CORONADO is HAUNTED... Go to Boquete... :-P

Muddy river dumps on your beach
Sometimes it is muddy. Sometimes it is perfectly clear.
