I am a big fan of this game, today I found a way how to beat the cook in 10 seconds and I shown a bit of my discovery - juggling the cook, bouncing him against that wall behind him. Let me know what you think , I have discovered many interesting things but no idea how to capture the gameplay like you did.
Oh man, I loved that game so much. As weird as the premise was, I mean, to adapt Hook as a beat 'em up, it was an awesome game. Also, the third boss is always random, it just spawns either Hook impostors or stronger versions of regular enemies. And on a side note, it's actually even more great to see a boss run from a game I love on the day of my birthday, thanks ^^
I recall playing it in an arcade with friends many years ago. Not the finest from either Irem or the genre but decent enough. Since AFAIK it was a relatively small team doing most of Irem's games in the early 1990s, despite the very different setting I can feel vibes of Undercover Cops, released the same year.
what does "no damage" mean? does it mean he never got hit, or that the dmg is turned off? cuz in the last video i saw the kingpin shoot out a cloud of dust that stunned him and yet he took no dmg.
Adaptation video games from movies don't have to be the same as the movie, man Or maybe some people don't want Rufio killed in the movie, and they doing revenge on this game. 😂😂😂
My only problem with the video game adaptations of Hook is that Peter Pan looks nothing like Robin Williams in any of them. Other than that the SNES and Arcade game is awesome. But the NES and Gameboy game sucked
He's telling the truth, looks like. I found a no-miss longplay of the Japanese version - notice the female pirates in the ending, and how they don't appear in the game? The Japanese third boss is actually one of them, who proceeds to split into three of herself once she's defeated, to continue the fight.
