Arcade games actually had some good voice acting even back in '93. Some console games, the Sega CD ones for example, also had some good voice audio.
This one was made near the end of the genre's popularity so it had a fair bit of advantage.

I agree. this game is 30 years old now. But it still looks, sounds, and feels fresh. This game has withstood the test of time. And that's saying a lot considering its age.

First time I beat Geld and he cried, "MAAAAMAAAA!" I thought for sure there would be one last fight against Geld's Mom.

Konami filled this game with all kinds of references, especially to beat 'em ups (even not their own, like the ALien vs. Predator reference with Doyle), and yes, Sledge was based off Ninja Turtles.

So, the leader of what i'm guessing is some biker gang shit, is a purple child with super powers, that can turn into a super muscular purple man and destroys entire building just from transforming, and cries out to mommy when he loses.

This couldn't be more any more Konami, the music is so Turtles in Time I kept feeling that Sledge guy was going to tear apart revealing it was Metal Head or Slash underneath all along.
Since this game takes after World War III, and the final boss is a shout-out to Tetsuo from Akira. I bet that Geld is responsible for causing WW3 due to the fact that his transformation obliterates the top of the building.

It's a Konami game! No wonder the music for two boss stages (2:20 and 5:33) sounded suspiciously similar to the Turtles in Time Shredder last boss fight theme. Not to mention the boss
that dressed suspiciously LIKE a ninja turtle.
The flying power loader boss Doyle is baxton and krang in one. Take a close look. The ninja turtle boss Sledge is slash and raph.

You know you're playing a 90's beat 'em up game, when in the ending, the characters are driving a car recklessly, and the passengers don't give a damn about their own safety.

The animation is quite impressive for a game that's 24 years old!! And this has tons of animations stolen from Final Fight it looks like. Actually watching it, shows tons of stuff from Turtles in Time, I know Konami made that but music, animations, etc with many similarities.

Also a lot more creative and goofy boss designs than your average street brawler game. I especially like Julius the living statue and the guy in the Aliens powerloader cosplay.

This game is like _Fist of the North Star_ meets Saturday morning cartoons. Not quite as violent as the former, but still has the cheesy 80's look of it in a more "American" aesthetic.

it must be from more recent mame version because i don´t see the gfx glitches that appear in the early mame driver... or was taken from an original arcade board wia a supergun
