After Keith's part of the show, the band usually walks down the runway to the small stage. Keith slipped on something that was thrown onto the runway in the recent past, so these cleaners are trying to prevent that? Them being on the mainstage was hard to understand.
Hey, first of all, the imperfections (from the technical pov) is what makes Keith the one and only Keith, it's what makes the Stones such a hard grooving band actually. Secondly, he's 78. Thirdly, you should avoid judging people's performance based on relatively poor quality live recordings.
