This really opened my eyes on how much I don’t know. There is much to be done. I can’t even fathom how you’re able to recognize and playback those chords going by that fast.
Thanks Tomo!
Glad it was helpful! You really don't need that much! Everything so simple! Thank you!
Thanks for your work, is my favorite channel
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you so much!
Quite an very invaluable question. Music Theory really takes you places and gets you to be adaptable! Cheers Tomo
Thank you so much!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Cheers!
Good morning and thank you Mr. Tomo.
Good morning! You're welcome!
always learn something from your videos, always wondered about the bass note sub for the tri tone( the flat five) thank you , still working on recent " intermediate practice routine". i will let you know when i am ready for berklee! - DON'T EXPECT TOO FAST!
So happy to hear that! Tritone sub! Steak Sub! All tasty!
I caught your question... lol Yeah man, you DO play well! We love it.
Thank you so much!
So many chords and scales. Not ready to audition ;) But definitely excited to watch through the intermediate practice videos this weekend.
i did not know so much in the beginning so don't worry! It's possible that you can learn more if you wish. Please do! Have fun!
Thank you Mr.Fujita.
Talking about theory,I'm more clear now.
And we need review sometime.
Thank you so much!
Wow, I was under the illusion that you learn and get fluent in all this stuff AFTER getting into music school. I'm just a hobby guitarist who started a couple yrs ago and I know very basic theory, thanks to youtube. But surprisingly I felt like I was somewhere in Level 3/4 for some of the items but level 2 on a couple of them. Although my improv skills are absolutely 0, never really focused on it properly so I can't expect magic to happen lol, but that's what I am working on at the moment.
Great videos! Love the practice routines from you as well.
Thanks for sharing! You only need to know a little information! So much fun after that. Thank you so much!
amazing video, seriously. thanks tomo, it reminded me of a couple things i really should be working on again. and EVERYBODY should learn modes on only one string aswell, it helped me so much when figuring out the fretboard ❤ thanks! love from the uk!
Thank you so much! Good job!
Very interesting information.
Glad you enjoyed it
I love your Chanel. Thank you. I will share too😊
So happy to hear that! Thank you so much!
I just got a poster with the key signitures majors minors circle of fifths and scales it looks confusing at first but keep learning folks someday we may be half as good as Tomo !
No need any books! Basic information! That's all you need!
You can do it! Much more fun!
fascinating video.I think music is very good for everyone to learn. It makes children do better in math. I continue to learn every day.
Thank you so much!
Have a great weekend Tomo! :)
You too! Thank you!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Thank you!
I understand your opinion on the circle of fifths. It's nothing special, it doesn't tell you anything you cant learn from normal music theory, but sometimes when information is layed before you in a certain way, it can help you understand it better. The circle of 5ths really helped me understand how to connect all chords together, and how they can link to one another. Much like the CAGED system; it doesn't tell you any secrets, it just shows you information in a way thats easier to understand than other ways.
Thanks for sharing! I have learned many jazz standards & analyzed melody intervals & harmony. Good simple information that everyone should know!
agreed the circle of fifths and 4ths helped me to learn my intervals for all scales. It also gives me a logical framework for practicing away from chromatics on my guitar. It also helped me learn to spell my scales and learn the key signature of each scale. very important.
broaden my horizons every time
Thank you!
I knew a guy in college who dropped out of music school because it was too stressful and hard. Then he became a chemical engineer. By the way, it looks like youre going to hit 500k pretty soon, Fujita Sensei. I knew youd make the big league one day if you just kept at it with the youtube, grats! ;)
When people go to music college without enough preparation then it could be very hard to follow up classes. My son is studying at John's Hopkins. 495K now! Thank you so much!
My goal is to become like bird and fly! 😀
Yes! Learn these then you can!
I think this video ought to be the opening video of your Guitar Wisdom course, so students understand your teaching philosophy, not memorization, but the "process" of learning the guitar.
Thank you so much!!
hello good sir. thank you for your videos and for helping make guitar more accessable to anyone who wants to learn.
also, if youve never heard of tory slusher please check out her channel. she is, hands down, one of the most competent and capable player ive ever seen
You're very welcome! So happy to hear that! Thank you for sharing!
There is no doubt that you are a gifted musician, you have a lot of theoretical knowledge... but you don't really teach, you show what needed to be a musician , I like your videos because they challenge me to seek knowledge.
Showing a piece of paper for a second is and dropping it is a nice trick, but not much help.
Though … Thank you, ... I'm inspired.
Thank you so much! You really don't know that much theory information! Basic stuff with deep understanding musically... you can cook music well! After all, it's all about cooking! Once you learn.... no need that paper!
I believe Guthrie Govan said something like: Music theory is like a map. It helps you understand the world and how to get to your destination. But you can do all of that without a map and get to some rly cool destinations. It’s just harder.
Thank you for sharing! Music Theory itself is nothing. But if you have a place to go.. (songs) then yes.
⭕️ oh 5ths is new to me as a 🎻 doesn’t have chords.
First thing I noticed was: it’s a 🕰️. 1 o’clock G 1#. 3 o’clock A 3#.
Also at 1 o’clock before is 4th after is 5th : works all the way around.
Then spin it CCW and it’s the ⭕️ oh 4ths. 🙃
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎤🎻🐾🐾🎸🎶🎶🎵
Slowly slowly! You will find out something later! Nothing really special! Just like you know about time, months... all that!
@@TomoFujitaMusic I already knew the Sharp order - etc .. Easy with Violin. FC and GDAE are the Violin Strings. LOL. Be Well Dear Tomosan..
Thanks for sharing. I see...
How can I get(buy) tomo fujita guitar book?~
I teach this contents at my Guitar Wisdom so you can hear and understand all!
Hey sensei..which stevie wonder song did you mean had some of those chords you played?.. please..thnx
I love playing Isn't she lovely. Thank you!
So after 2 decades of playing and around 1.5 trying to understand the "circle of 5ths", you finally made it all click by saying how easy it is lol. Level 2 now, level 3 here I come.
Good job! Learn theory with sounds!
Tomo I live in Canada and and I’m quite far from Berklee. I’m in grade 10 right now and am rlly considering Berklee online. I’m rlly interested on your thoughts on Berklee online?
I don't teach Berklee online so look up any reviews. Thank you!
Try my Guitar Wisdom!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Thanks Tomo!
Hello Tomo, How can i get your guitar book?. I'm from Canary Island. Thank you very much.
This is not for sale! I teach everything from this book to my Guitar Wisdom! Thank you!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Thank you!
Nope lol I'd like to think I'm a "pretty good" bass player, and an "okay" guitar player. Take that how you will, but I definitely need help with theory 😁
Thanks for sharing! You can learn more so you can improve continued!
Teach for free for one month. I guarantee that you'll have so much business, you'll never need to worry about giving anything away again cause you'll be teaching everyone at advanced levels. I know one guy that does that. His video's are a little over an hour long. Not monitzed. He gets paid because he gives it away. Just a thought. 😊
We used to free lesson offer on my Guitar Wisdom. It was not really effective. Once we stopped it... more steady subscribers everyday! RUclips videos are more entertainment and my Guitar Wisdom is more educational. Thank you so much!
I’m so confused 🫤 about the circle of 5ths
Don't worry! Slow down!

If I am ready to pass audition, there is no need to go to music school any more...
No need to do anything unless you have your destination.
this is very elitist, a student wants to go to school to learn, if the requirement to go to school is the things he dont know how cant he learn. this is the very reason why the music industry is failing, because of the very elitist way of learning
“This is very elitist”… what exactly is “this”? Preparing for the next step on a journey? I think your mistaking instant success with hard work.
Thanks so much for sharing! No need to buy any books. You can learn all those! Very very simple! Once you have basic theory knowledge then you will have more fun making music!
And you're able to learn it here for free on youtube if you only make the time and effort. It's not so elite after all!
can i buy that guitar book?
Not for sale!
