This comparison doesn't make sense... Kawasaki w800 twin makes around 50bhp which more or less compete with RE 650 twin unlike z650 or new 650rs...I know both are 650cc but it's a retro bike...comparing RE 650 twin to kawasaki w800 RE makes more power for a retro 650 twin..

Look at cb350 which also makes 20-21 bhp just like RE cannot be compared to jawa which makes more power but engine was not specifically designed for retro just like the new kawasaki 650rs which like yamaha xsr series is just a modern retro looking bike which feels like you're riding a naked mt or kawasaki z series bike...

Comparison was Rubish...I already knew what will be the Result....what has happened to Shumi, making childish comparisons....kawasaki is a Sports dna engine..where as RE still is a low Reving Cruiser base engine..you can't compare...it's like drag racing a Pulsar N250 with RE Classic 350.

We all know the big 4 of Japan are always better than RE......infact any company is better than RE in terms of performance, tech and power packed in a bike. I wonder though what are the horsepower and torque figures and is the Z650 better than the RE in high and low revv ranges.
RE is better in price
Lets bring the price and service cost of kawasaki to the equation.
And travelling 100's of kilometers just for a service, when you are not in the poshest city of the state
Why buy one in the first place if you are out of reach ?
Interceptor 650’s power can be increased using s&s air filter and exhaust which increases the power the bike by 27 percent and we can do some weight reduction which might help in increasing the power
More weight reduction, can be scrap the bike and get any 650cc bike made in 21st century :P

The amount of people trying to justify RE below is...wow.......it is not better than the Z but also it's in a different class tbh. CC doesn't matter as much as Tech, HP and Torque these days.
The Z has almost 20 more horsepowers than the RE and even lighter. This isn't a comparison...even in terms of price....does the RE have any tech?

CC still does matter a lot. If two bikes producing more n less similar horsepower and weighs equally but one is having higher displacement engine then it would outperform to later one anyday. Torque curve does play significant role here, flat torque curve will ensure crispy throttle response, better standstill and in-gear acceleration, smoother idling and better fuel efficiency.

Not so sure buddy, the ninja twin engine feels a bit gruff, bit unrefined in its BS6 avatar.
as a 650 owner I was quite surprised when the Interceptor came out, it was actually smoother than the Kawa, this is back in 2018 or 19 though, I don't know if the new bike is better.
Interceptor is more refined than kawasaki z650 , kawi is so much faster but it has vibrations from the fairings , not a big deal by the way it's minimal

@@theincredibleus4606 guys that was a wet runway, the clutch on the INT650 wasn't slick. So things were going to be as quick. Although, even in our Zig road tests of the BS6 INT650, the bike manages a 7.45s 0-100kmph timing. So we weren't that far off

RE twins are 650s just for the namesake. Like fortnine said these bikes are comparable to 40-50 year old 650s not modern 650s.....these twins have comparable power to 400/450 cc modern bikes

Don't understand the obsession of people in revving bikes to the red line. The kwacker 650 twins provide the best progress at 9000 rpm shifts.
Great Video gents however my Z650 with just a exhaust puts down a 12.6 quarter mile, assuming you were concerned in the wet
Interceptor 650 takes 6 seconds for 0-100 kmph on dry roads. Here on wet roads because of tyre being narrower in interceptor 650 its loosing grip and thats why 0-100 is taking almost 8.2 seconds. Otherwise INT 650 is also pretty fast despite being a long stroke engine. Long stroke engines are never made for drag races. They are only for midrange punch because of heavy torque at lower RPMs.

Inequal race. Never arrange a race in between any RE bikes with any other. RE bikes are not meant for this drag race etc.
Drag should have different testing methods too. Gear wise acceleration tests, from 0 to 100 ,from 50 to 120, from 150 to top range.

Guys, I love the content, but change the track. This isn't an ideal place to drag, the track plays an important role in a drag. This has become borderline dangerous, get a track where it's sunny and dry.
Only then I believe you could really push the toys to their limit.
