    Story 2: here in Germany if you have a restraining order on someone and you move near that one, then your restraining order is over. It's to protect you for that specific one but if you yourself break the distance to that one, well your own fault.

      And this is how it should be. To protect you from people who will use a RO to bully you and yes there are plenty out there that do it. I know a guy who was forced out of two jobs because his ex who had a RO against him kept switching jobs to the place he worked at then complained to HR to get him fired. He contacted both previous and his current employer when she showed up at the third workplace and tried to demand the same. The HR departments of all three employers recognized the pattern and the third employer terminated her employment instead and he took her to court and had a RO placed against her even though her own RO was still in place against him. The US is really stupid in how these are enforced.

      @@juliane.mfarias9285 If you move into a new place and you discover that the person you put a RO on has been living in that same place already, then you have no right to demand they leave to compensate you. Even if they did hurt you in the past, moving into a place that you discover they have been living in and demanding they move out is just ridiculous. You put the restraining order up to protect yourself, if you find out your to be home has been *their* home, you find a new place to live at least until the RO is up.
      Don't get me wrong, I'm not vilifying or downplaying the seriousness of why people get restraining orders in the first place. If someone hurt you, you have every right to defend yourself from them, but you can't just kick them out of their home, especially if they've been honoring the order. Being the victim just doesn't give you the right to step all over them, be the bigger person.

    story 2 one of the few people to actually reform and learn your lesson, good for you. no your ex can't tell you to leave cause she decided to move where you live, she should have done the research and learned where you live. collect evidence of you living there right along, her moving there later and then her trying to force you out, and then go to court to file an offical complaint. having a restraining order doesn't mean that if your eating in a mcdonald's and the person you gotta stay away from walks in, you have to get up an leave, it just means that person has 2 choices they gotta ignore you and keep away or they need to leave. if you get a job and 2 years down the road they get hired for the same job, they cannot use that restraining order to get you fired, they would just be moved away from you. besided if a court sees you lived there right along and the ex didn't see him till now, guess that means the restraining order is kind of useless they might revoke it.

    Story 2:
    wait wtf?
    why would the guy have to move?
    sure he had a restraining order against him, but SHE was the one to move closer to him, not inverse
    Lets give an easier example:
    lets say OP bought a house, and the EX bought the neighbouring house after 2 years of OP living around there already.
    you telling me the OP would be forced to leave his home he bought because his EX wasn't aware he already lived there?
    this seems super unfair, the restraining order should work both ways.
    which means he can't approach her, but she can't approach him either.
    not, if she approaches him, he has to leave for her.

      It is really weird, like, while both participants shouldn't be told where the other is living or planning to live, someone in charge of the restraining order should be made aware to at least discourage the victim or the culprit, that they are too close to breaking the RO.

    • @better.better
      @better.better 2 года назад

      @@agentmaryland1239 it only comes up if theres an actual issue... for example, she would have to complain about his actions in the first place in order for the judge to enforce it, so if his ex had never brought it to the attention of the court, they both could have gone on with their lives. She probably had no idea about when he actually moved there, so she was probably legit worried that maybe he was there stalking for revenge. second, his lawyer was smart enough to use the situation to get the order removed rather than go the route of proving that he was there first which while it would have solved the immediate issue of having to move, but would have left the restriction intact. this way, ex was reasured, restriction was lifted, and nobody had to move.

    This sort of thing happens a lot with some of my wife's relatives. Because they're spread out in several countries, when someone dies some cousin/niece/nephew/etc. will be the first to the house before the children (i.e. actual legal heirs) can fly in. They'll take heirlooms and have even tried to claim inheritance. It can be a major pain.

    Depending on who moved in first. I know it sounds childish. If op had moved in six months before she had moved in then he will not have to. She would because of that being considered entrapment. If she moved in and the op was not aware that she was living there then op would have to move. Or that is how it was explained to me when I received mine. That all depends on the law in your area. Op needs to see a lawyer.

    The last video illustrates some sketchy behavior on the OP's part. Why didn't she go to authorities and parents first regardless of her belief they wouldnt listen?The teacher was completely sketchy and should be punished. But filming personal BS and posting it, while legal, is just bad form. Nobody is perfect. I'm guessing by the mere fact the OP posted this story that they are somewhat 'proud' of their accomplishments. In certain respects I agree. Keep in mind, the OP better keep on her best behavior because there are people just like her waiting and watching for her to have a 'bad' day!

    • @joshuad3507
      @joshuad3507 2 года назад +2

      She was actually just doing a class project originally so not really bad form. I do find it weird how she had to walk around her neighborhood like that and talk about it, but by the sound of how vague the assignment was she was just doing as told and then being punished for it(in addition to the school potentially trying to sweep the problematic behavior of the coach under the rug).
      Framing it as her trying to spread gossip is an odd takeaway you got from the story

    • @michaelfranks2844
      @michaelfranks2844 2 года назад +1

      Don't forget that the op didn't know who the guy was originally and only became aware when someone recognized who the guy was after posting it. For this reason I have to disagree.

    • @SenseiRaisen

      And on top, it seems the school was trying by active and passive to not had to do this, before OP bring the report again (probably after asking a teacher), and the principal wanted to sweep this under the rug, before someone more important than the Principal took in.

    cat-calling coach: I wouldn't say it was all perfectly executed, like the first part sort of accidentally got the ball rolling, however the prep for the meeting with the principal was definitely perfectly executed, especially for a high school student. most people that age don't think and plan that far ahead they just react to what's happening to them, guns-a-blazin.
    my first full-time job I had something similar happened to me. when I was a new hire I was on a split-shift, the end of the morning shift through the beginning of the evening shift, for training purposes. shift for a month before I permanently went to my assigned shift, overnights. two of the guys on the morning shift we're always laughing and joking and screwing around which was fun most of the time but the one guy would brag about having done things to make previous employees quit. at the time I don't remember filing it away as a red flag, but my brain apparently did anyway. fast forward a couple of years and no longer on the graveyard shift, now on the evening shift when things started happening. it was practical-joke style stuff at first, childish, small, Beavis and Butthead type of things that were obviously funny to the person who did it but not really anybody else. slowly it began to escalate into bigger and bigger things and in my brain I was logging them all. this was just at the beginning of the cell phone era, flip phones were the big thing and phones didn't come with cameras on them yet, text messaging was charged for by the message, so I didn't record any photo proof of any of this I just remembered it. the last straw for me was when this guy sprayed sprayed adhesive into the EQ of my girlfriends boombox that I was using to listen to music during my long solo overnight shifts, completely ruining it making it non-functional. I discovered this on my last shift Wednesday night before a long 4-day Thanksgiving weekend, and boy was I ANGRY! I remembered him telling me that he did things to get people to quit and I wasn't going to be one of them. I left my boss a really long voicemail, listing out all the things that had been messed with, making sure that I used the word "harassment", and knowing that this is the first thing my boss was going to hear when he came back from a really nice long enjoyable holiday weekend.
    When I arrived for work on monday, this guy comes running up to my car appoligizing, clearly worried about his job. I've heard it said that managers don't fire people, people fire themselves, and that's exactly what ended up happening to this guy. Not from this incident, but a year later he printed out some porn and forgot to pick it up off the printer. One of the ladies from customer service printed something and ... BUSTED...! That was the end of him!

    sounds like the ex wife was using it as a test and after some thought and talking with her hubby decided to let it drop legally. yes restraining orders work both ways. If you have an order against someone then intentionally make contact with them it voids the order as you show you aren't in fear for your life from the other party.

    What's disgusting is that some countries rule by religion so if the parents die and they only have daughters, the family aunts and uncles would chip in and get more inheritance than the daughters. And if they have a son, the family gets nothing and the boy gets most of the inheritance and the daughters get half of what the son gets combined. It's sickening that in 2022 this is still a common thing where women are working and supporting themselves like even while married. We're equal but god forbids if it's the inheritance. Ffs just let law out of religion. It's unfair to everyone. Like imagine if my sister dies (god protect and bless her soul) and i come in to get inheritance?? No just no. I love her children so much and i d want only the best for them and i would help raise them with whatever money i have. This is just sad....

    About the restraining order. According to what I know about them since YOU moved into the complex 1st AND this complex is NOT her filed home address (she doesn't live there and the complex does NOT hav her name on a lease for ANY room in that complex) you should be fine, HOWEVER due to this fact u could sue her for harassing you. Her restraining order covers set distance around her "FILED" home and her person. The restraining order has zero power if she moves towards your "FILED" home address. However it's a race to establish who moved in there and filed it as their home address. Changing ALL IDs to show this as ur home, changing ALL mailing addresses to new how before the harpy can. Also talk to ur lawyer. He/she can explain this in more detail.

    1st story: Yeah... I'd confront her. Tell her exactly what she is doing. The convo would most likely go like this. Or at least from what I assume with this...thing. (I don't have the strength to call this "human" an actual person.)
    Me: You are a selfish, no-good, excuse of a person. Your sister just died and all you care about is taking the assets that she and her husband, my father, gave to me and my sister.
    Creature: But I'm her sister, I am the rightful owner of those assets.
    Me: That's funny. If we go and actually look at the will of my parents. *Pulls will out.* It says here that "-so and so- go to my daughter. And the rest to my son."
    And THAT is how you take that being out. And she didn't deserve ANYONE to go to her funeral.

    I had an uncle 10 times worse than Aunt Karen. This clown would come over to my grandmothers house, where he absolutely did not live, and would repeatedly throw out a lot of my things, simply because he didn’t like where I had placed them. We’re not talking trash or junk here. I’m talking expensive RC. planes and equipment, as well as a 1970 Chrysler 426 Hemi engine sitting in the corner of the garage for years. He would also come over to berate me about the cleanliness of my own work bench. Since I was little, he was always “that guy”! When I was 5 years old, my grandmother had bought me a couple of Hot Wheels cars. When he saw me playing with them, he threw a fit and yelled at my grandma for buying me toys. What a piece of work! Years later, my first daughter was born. She was only a few days old when we decided to visit my grandmother to show her the baby. This clown just so happens to be there when we arrive . I decided to be the bigger person and walk over to him with the baby. He proceeded to miter something under his breath, turn his back, and walk away. I swore I would spit on his grave one day. He eventually did pass away. I attended his funeral just to make sure he was really dead. I also attended the reception dinner after the funeral, which he payed for years in advance. Dinner never tasted so good.😊

    In my country we say:"by the number of people who come to your funeral and by the way they pay their respect it is wisible what kind of person you were"
    I have a friend whose father lived 3 houses away from him and never cared, never accepted him as a son. The father died all alone. He had twins with some young girl who abandoned them to go to do the boob job, in some crapy apartmant where the doctor who did the operation was doing it. She died due to complications so my friend's father suddenly became a single father. Then his mother died (my friends bio grandma). My friends father just left the kids alone in the house. They were 18 monts old and went to work. They were later given to the CPS. They're adopted now. He died all alone. Nobody came to his funeral. One person even sent flowers with the line written across:"I hope you're happy now, you piece of s**it" So yeah, you dont get to take anything to your grave

    When my one great uncle died. He lived in a trailer. Found dead after 2-3 days of a heart attack. He had a lot of cash in there (about 25k), old timer who didn't believe in banks, and a lot of classic cars in the other piece of property he owned. Great aunt and her kid went and more or less raided the trailer taking the money and the keys to the barn. Somehow didn't think to take the book that had the amount of money he had. Smart man btw, Took and hid a 3 of the cars. 4 years later the money and all but 1 (pretty sure it was a 69 comaro restored but could be wrong) the other 2 cars were recovered and promptly given out to his kids and now has to pay back the 25k in cash. Along with 10k in legal fees.
