Story 1: The sister and her SO sold/gave away the car to the OP and her husband, and signed the papers agreeing to it, so they legally have zero rights to that car. The OP's big mistake here was offering the Taurus as a loaner to the sister here and giving her money for other things, should've seen something like this coming. Also, the OP is by no means selfish or hypocritical here. The OP and husband did put a lot of money and time into that car, so you can't just be expected to give it away so that someone else can sell it or trade it in. OP has done nothing wrong here and shouldnt feel bad at all.
Story 2: OP isn't a jerk at all here, and i say move out as soon as youre able to. I dont know about cultural differences, or the mom being OCD-like like the OP said here, but it really sounds like the parents here are having a hard time accepting or adjusting to the fact that you are now 22 and not 15. I get a lot of parents have the "my house, my rules" mindsets, but the mom really had no right to go into the OPs room while he was away and completely re-organize and move everything. I know that would've made me lose my mind. I always notice that people that claim that they are 'trying to help', do the exact opposite. OP really needs to get out of that household.
Story 3: No, OP isn't a jerk at all. If the gf was more serious about this marathon and everything to be prepared for it, then i'm sure the OP would be way more supportive here, but it looks like she's still only using this as a cop out for missing this other event and trying to use this 12-week program for more excuses. The OP has been trying to help her prepare for this marathon but she's unwilling to take his advice to heart. OP has no reason to apologize here.
Story 4: No way is the OP a jerk here... thats just sick and i would've yelled at him too. I get not wanting to flush #1 at 3AM or something so as to not wake someone, but come on.....how do you "forget" to flush? OP has every right to be mad here.
Story 5: OP isn't a jerk here and if i were him, i'd be looking for a new place to live at. This friend doesn't sound like a good roommate and i can totally see why you would want a lock for the door here. First of all, you are entitled to your privacy and he has absolutely no right to be phoning your sister or family about what you may or may not be doing, and definitely should not being doing through your trash or your laundry. This guy is just weird. OP needs to leave this place.

Story 2: Your parents are terrible. Your mother is gaslighting you and your father is doing nothing to stop it. (Yes, I used the term "gaslighting"--even in the earlier senses of the term, such as in the film _Gaslight_ in the 1940s, this would fit the bill neatly. She is doing things behind your back and trying to paint you as deluded when you point out the changes, even when you show proof.) Sure, they provided for you growing up, but that's the bare minimum. She may have untreated OCD, but going so far as to completely rearrange your room and then _lie_ about it to your face, even confronted with your evidence to the contrary, paints her as a bad person.

The only thing I care about in the mom going into the adult kid’s room is the medicine. Mom is fixated on medicine going in the bathroom, but it’s pretty much standard recommendation that prescription medication _not_ go in the bathroom due to the heat and humidity damaging or reducing potency.

The third story. There isn't really a jerk in this story, the OP being an experienced runner advised his girlfriend on what to do to prepare but the girlfriend isn't taking it seriously. If I was in the situation, I would not take the half marathon seriously at all since I know she would perform poorly at it. Instead I'll just give her whatever compliment she needs, let her finish the marathon her own way and then grab a bite to eat with her after the marathon is over.

Op better make sure her money is secured because I’ve read stories similar to this and a good chunk of them where the parents or siblings steal the money they saved, like that one story of the parents who allow ops little brother to steal his money and give the excuse that he’s “ special “ to where he kept it at a relative so it wouldn’t be stolen

Why is she in the wrong, for not wanting to do a marathon his way, but rather hers?
Just because you (think you) know the best way to do something, dont give you the right to demand others to do it your way.

As much as it sucks, if OP isn't paying rent, they don't really have any say on the room, legally speaking. OP just needs to accept things until they move. Maybe getting a safe or something impossible to break into would help but beyond that, it's their house. 🤷‍♀️

Story 1: Sister has zero rights on that car. She literally gave it away because it wasn't usable anymore and she didn't want to put in the effort and money to fix it. The car now belongs to OP, it's not free money for the sister to use.
Story 4: Bruh. I'd question how you even can be embarrassed in front of your friends if you don't even feel enough shame to flush so your roommate won't have to walk in on your business.

No, you know what's *truly* selfish? Bringing *another* child into the world that you can't care for, while also demanding others to pay your way through life or give you things because otherwise 'you're a terrible person'.

The first and second stories have the potential to be to being the jerk. Well, your family lends you something or even gives you something, you should attempt to at least reciprocate. The other option would be you could attempt to negotiate with them and wanted for the car price and what would have been fair at that time and just pay it to them. This will give them the same results as what they were already asking and you could also remove how much they already owed you from loading the money previously and how much it cost for the vehicle as expenses. The second story wasn’t fully clear. Is she paying rent to her parents? If so, then, yes, you should have a certain amount of rights to privacy. However, if you’re not, then you have no right to change their house, redecorates or change the locks, you can actually get in trouble with the law in doing so.

*Story 1:* OP's definitely not the jerk of this story, sister is. I don't get why she wants the car so that she can sell it to buy another car. If she wants to buy a new car for herself, she can buy her own car. Why does she need OP to just sell his car to her? She can demand all she wants, but it's OP's car, and OP should be the one to decide whether to sell the car, and not crazy sister.

The first story reminds me of the post where ops sister and parents gave him a pos car that he fixed up and got it running and then they took it and sold it to give their daughter her 8th car after she crashed another one, and then fast forward and they called begging for money because the daughter had crashed her 65th car and he told them to go pound sand, they came and stole his and his wifes car but they didn’t get far as they had cameras and the cars were flagged as stolen and the parents called screaming and insulting him, he then found out that his sister isn’t allowed to drive anymore because she was such a god awful driver so a few quick calls and the parents and sister are arrested on multiple charges of grand theft and driving with out a license

They stated that they’re saving up to move out, which I’m assuming their parents lack of respect for privacy being one reason why they’re trying to move out. You might want to drop the selective hearing and listen to the story again
