    A very wildly optimistic dyno! Would like to see the baseline numbers before the tune and exhaust...that would tell the story....typically bone stock they make around 105 or so at the wheel. With that being said, an increase of 20hp with exhaust and tune on the MT is impossible.

      Its not. Look at legend cars. They get around 130hp out of these engines

    Is this possible for the 2024 model as well? Launch control and pit mode? And would it spit flames and pop like that?

    Yeah I'd like to see this bike stock HP numbers before these inflated 127 hp numbers on this same dyno in the same conditions. Most of these 847cc bikes make 115hp or so after tune.

      my stock 2015 MT09 with only an akrapovich titanium exhaust made 114HP. this was due to the speed limiter coming in at 220-225kph right before 5th gear powerband. so the power run had to be done in 4th gear.
      after a tune, and removal of the speed limiter, it went up to 124HP. there where also some slight modifications to the airbox to allow for greater airflow, this including modifying the snorkle, and changing stock filter for a K&N filter.
      this was done on a professional dyno where they tune proper race bikes that compete in high classes of moto racing.
      so this 127HP power run is ''believable'' but they must have done some other mods, or this exhaust is just really good (which is highly likely)

      @@wildwilco Or the dyno is just very different from other dynos. There's a dozen contributing factors that determine a number, but the best way to do is is run a stock number on a given day and then run the modified number preferably on the same day (atmospheric conditions and all that).
      Yamaha continues to severely restrict throttle maps in the ECU. You twist the grip to the stop, the computer controls the throttle at the throttlebody and will not be applying 100% throttle except for a few thousand RPM in a higher gear, before shutting back down severely, unless you flash the ECU.

    • @wildwilco
      @wildwilco Год назад +1

      @@exothermal.sprocket that's exactly what happend. Stock with only a modified exhaust it had 114 wheel HP, and with the flashed ECU, tuned bike it had 124 wheel HP. These are verified numbers from a professional tuner who Tunes are racing bikes for a living.
      On the same day, with identical conditions.

    Hello was there much work in sorting the gear shifting out? Moving up into 5th is hit n miss and 6th not at all. My Mt’s a generation1 . Woolich sent me both shifter rods and the shorter has been used. Any info before it goes back to the mechanic would be much appreciated
    Thanks

    is there any reason the akrapovic is using different headers/linkpipe? from what ive learned the extra loop that the akra headers and linkpipe give is more power but specifically more torque when tuned.

    • @blankmindtheory3446
      @blankmindtheory3446 Год назад

      It basically causes more back pressure 1 because its effectively a kink in the hose, and 2 because it gives the effect of having a longer pipe without taking up as much room, best set up from what I can tell, aki do a loop, ebay special do, and lextek from what I can find
