The FU-Trophy is only the 2nd biggest award a magician can receive.
The highest is applause by Teller for a sleight of hand trick, before even finishing school.
Not only does this kid perform his ass off, but as a teenager he already exudes a professionalism that goes far beyond his years, and openely exposes his humility that we need to see so much more of in today's performing arts. We will definitely be hearing more about him very soon. Job well done!
Very well done. The key is the egg. It has a little bird inside that was prevented from being born or breaking the egg. The little bird was trained and able to fly inside, so the egg could float. A ton of training for the bird, and clear instructions done by the kid anyways. Congrats for you and your little bird!

The big problem is that under that conditions the little trained birds only lasts about 3 weeks before they starve, as you can't feed them. Actually they are flying inside the egg looking for food. Magic is sometimes expensive in many ways.
The dark reality is that every time the trick is performed, he squashes that little bird, and so in order to keep the trick going, you need lots of little birds that live out their whole lives without being born, which is kind of cruel when you think about it. Cool effect though!
@@mrdibujante There's a little hole under the egg where you can pass fluid food through. I mean he didnt showed the bottom of the egg. 😎
The trick was pretty cool, execution was great and the kid's English is outstanding for that age. He's going places, I am certain about that.
Yes, his English is good, but that is entirely unremarkable in Europe.
Most kids receive English lessons throughout secondary school and they consume English-language media in
films, TV and games all the time that they're bound to absorb it eventually.
thats a completely normal level of english in germany or europe (maybe except the french). I’ve seen 11/ 12yo kids being able to give directions and communicate in english

The younger a child is, the easier it is for them to learn languages. The US really limits their childrens' capabilities by refusing to teach more than English to grade school children. Because you know. 'Murikkka
his english is good thanks to smart german regulators like me! yea i am working hard to implement the english language into all school curriculums to ensure that one day every german citizen will be able to speak english perfectly. english is a very important language, far more important than german

The science behind this trick is actually more amazing than the trick itself. But still amazing performance.

I think that is the first time I have ever seen Penn and Teller discount the correct method to a trick during the explanation. Wonderful performance.
Well, the producers of the show know how the trick is done, right? So if p&t correctly guessed how it was done, I imagine they wouldn't have given him the trophy.
@@brycewalburn3926 When I say discount I mean they listed the actual method for this trick in their laundry list of ways that it could have been done, and decided that he didn't do it that way. The premise of the show is still satisfied because they guessed wrong.
I remember they discounted the correct method during the Oreo trick in an early season, when the guy loads the cookie in his napkin before wiping his mouth, but Penn and Teller said they didn’t think he loaded the cookie.
I agree, I feel like magnets are the trick; to me, the egg was most definitely wobbling in the video. I'm thinking that in the same vein that some performers do not call Penn and Teller up to the stage because then they'd have an up-close view of the trick, I think Penn and Teller were too far to see the wobble very well (which I honestly find hard to believe unless their screen had really ass quality). If they were convinced it wasn't magnets and they couldn't figure an alternative method out, then the kid still gets the trophy.
@@brycewalburn3926 "you didn't do it this way" when they did it that way isn't guessing correctly. There could be multiple different routes you can go to do a trick, just because they can list out one way to do it, doesn't make them correct if the person didn't do it that way.
I love Penn's buildup of "we're gonna treat you rough, like an adult" bit.

1:40 - The moment he "dispatched" the egg from his hand and 1:45 the moment he "dispatched" the spoon. That table was handy. For a 14 year old, this was great sleight of hand.
That's great. I was watching the sleight of hand stuff and thinking it's really well done, clean and very convincing, but it wasn't going to fool P&T. Then you did the floating egg and, as soon as you put the the glass over it, I knew that was special. Well done kid! Maxl ist super!
At the end there I thought there was going to be two eggs and surprise it was confetti and no eggs, I love it when I can’t see the plot coming! The entire routine was great, Congrats!

Okay *WOW* ... I was 100% sure that a kid this young would do an okay, _decent_ trick that wouldn't stand a chance in hell of fooling Penn & Teller. Instead we got pure mastery and I wish I didn't buy a big top hat, because now I'm eating it.
