Sometimes i fear that magicians will need to do more to entertain solely because Piff. This magic dragon here bring us entertainment more than i ever have watching other magicians.
Some magicians come up with a great revolutionary trick that is so well done it's amazing. They spend years perfecting the moves and when they come on stage they have very well rehearsed somewhat robotic movements and patter. Then you have Piff the Magic Dragon. Someone who has perfected casual patter, essentially a comedian with magic props. Does very basic magic, but entertains the shit out of you.
Its a bit like one of the first people to fool them on the programme was a comedy magician called John Archer and you could tell that Penn was annoyed that he got fooled by it (but later admitted that Archer had done stuff he'd never seen)

@@Cheesus-Sliced Doubtful it's a coincidence, especially since they're old friends... a wink seems pretty on point. Even without fancy sleights, it's very simple to do using rough and smooth as long as you can convince them to keep going. And if not, no biggie--either it was just a wink and it's ok if the card ends up different, or if it is important that it be the 3 of clubs he just DOES MORE NONSENSE and she ends up with that card anyway. (I mean can you imagine adding multiple outs on top of a trick like this? You'd never be able to guess that it was happening.)
Piff may have planted the three but in the end it didn't matter what card Alyson chose all that was needed was a way to hide his passing the bill and card to the assistant in the tent so they could slap a second top on the card, drop the $20 bill in between, and prep it appear at the end of the trunk.
He just was a hot confusing mess the whole way and i loved it
those "or did I?" are the most hilarious things I saw this month :D
awesome presentation!
Sometimes i fear that magicians will need to do more to entertain solely because Piff. This magic dragon here bring us entertainment more than i ever have watching other magicians.
I love watching this guy
I always enjoy watching him😂😂
You ever notice how Penn is like if Badger on Breaking Bad got his act together
6:30 love the reaction when Allison goes from 40 to 42
Yay Piff! I saw you in Vegas and it was unbelievably amazing!
That was the best non stop laugh performance from first sec of your intro to the very end! I loved every second of it!
This is now one of my favorite magic acts ever. It’s sooo random and messy that it’s just wonderful.
You are one the few truly funny magicians ever. Thank you very much!
Piff's so funny! I always enjoy watching him perform! Forget the Full Us trophy Piff, you need an Oscar.
Diana Dia: Piff needs an Oscar.
Academy people: Piff..... Is that a new actor we didnt hear of? :-)
The Piff persona is so much fun. Fantastic work, sir!
Aw, your face when Penn started talking about drag... Heartbreaking!
Still love you, man!
*The only man dressed up as a dragon that can call Penn a 'B!tch' and still be loved for it*
Maybe you didn't win the trophy, but you definitely win my heart with this show
your gift is spreading smiles and entertainment
Haven't watched anything from you in years, and I forgot how fantastic of a performer you are. Great comedy, great amounts of effort and heart gone into everything. Hope to see you win it one of these days, you definitely deserve it.
I love how they didn’t bleep out “You bitch.” and then it’s Alyson just yelling “PIFF THE MAGIC DRAGON” 😂😂
The creativity bar was raised with that performance, well played!
11:40 the elephants disappearing, reappearing, and disappearing again around Teller is the real trick here 🤣😂
I remember seeing you at the Edinburgh Fringe at least 10 years ago and absolutely loving you and your energy! It’s been incredible watching your career as it’s become more and more well known. Great work as always!
The magic of Piff is that he actually makes comedy and magic work together perfectly, he is in a category of his own.
I remember seeing you all the way back in your first appearance and instantly becoming a fan- It's so great to see you smash it out there, I've seen you live and that was fantastic too- I think you embody why this is the best talent show on TV: doesn't matter if you fool them really, you "win" anyway because people like me get to see you and become fans- So I wouldn't be mad to see you come back every year because even if you fail to ever fool them we still have great tricks and great fun along the way!
The dynamic is great
Thanks for the laugh….seriously
Couple of minutes after the video ended I'm still smiling wide. Dude, you're hilarious!🤘🏻
With quick moves and slick tricks dominating magic the last 30 years, Piff brings a lovey mix of buffoonery, misdirection, and comedy.
I love how you casually walk off the stage eating a banana. HAHAHAHA You didn't fool them but you sure did entertain a lot of people.
I needed this today so much. Thank you Piff!
Penn claiming that you guys are close friends is not a bad compliment.
people keep saying that magic is not real but I swear the relationship between Piff and Penn & Teller is the purest form of magic
Always a fantastically entertaining show. Fooled or not you are a better stage performer than almost every other magician on here.
Piff you are the best, I love your story themes. Your methods are so entertaining, every time a new spin on the boring and bizarre tricks. Love it!
Thats why personnality is the most important thing in a human ..a lot of people are hard working and intelegent but you cant buy personality its captivating 😇
But he's a dragon!
@@KP-by4eu wow where do you live ...the most people around me are boring and nothing near to the personality of piff the magic dragon.
I have no idea what I just watched and I loved every second of it.
couldn’t tell if he was genuinely “piffed” off when they knew how he did it..
still, entertaining as hell to watch
He seemed a bit piffed. I think he truly thought he might have a slight chance. The second Penn said "drag", you could tell he was legit thinking "WTF HOW DID YOU KNOW INSTANTLY".
Still, Piff knew that would probably be the case, and he knows its his brand of show that really matters
Allison signed the three of clubs, which implies he was definitely there to entertain and not so much into fooling them. Piff could win but doesn't need to.

This is a surrealist masterpiece
I gotta say, Piff. You are my favorite magic dragon, bar none. Such a great act. So much humor, so much magic, so much determination. You may not have fooled them this time, but I genuinely hope you will continue to hone your magic talent and continue to be on the show.
I would pay $20 to see your act
I'd probably pay $100 to be able to just have a chat.
After all, I have an alter-ego. A Pikachu.
...so I take it you know many magic dragons, Piff just happens to be your favourite?
@@Larencia91 Well, theres Piff, Puff, Steve... i know enough. xD
Such a magnetic performance, was so amazed I could have fell through my floor.
Perhaps the funniest magic performance ever.
You can see the drag at 4:15. didn't necessarily hide it well from the experts, But to an untrained eye, it was smooth. It wasn't until they said it, that I caught it. This was a great use of "look there while I work here" for this whole bit. Very entertaining.
This video coming out was the best birthday present ever bro. Love Piff and Penn and Teller, superb collabs
The only introduction I absolutely watch over and over :-)
The cameraderie between Piff and P&T is heartwarming. 🏆🏆🏆
The "yup, great, im free" at the end was fantastic
An absolute comedic genius! His show girl assistant Jade, besides being an absolute goddess, compliments his act so perfectly with her facial expressions and energy. Edit: Just discovered that Jade is his wife. I am speechless. The dragon landed a princess!
♥️
normally I would say "simp" here but if you are simpin so am I since I agree 100 percent
I had a smile plastered on my face the whole video!
You don't need the trophy! I have been following you since 10 years ago. You have very loyal fans. I hope to see your show in vegas in the next few years (this pandemic needs to just go away).
Again: such a nice show. No losers. Everyone wins. A huge pleasure to watch.
This was so funny I love his sense of humor. Having Allison count the cards while he orders pizza, shit had me rolling
single handedly the most funny entertaining act ive seen on this show
not the best magician, but by far one of the best magic acts and performers out there. I have been a huge fan for years. Glad he is still going.. well done Piff...
I love how Noone else gets this wasn't about piff actually winning a trophy it was about bringing in viewership to the show and platform again. I could tell from about 30 seconds in this wasn't an act meant to fool pen and teller but keep the audience laughing and entertained which is the majority of Piffs show. He's a comedian magician with his audience.
That's how I felt watching it. I Love watching Piff but this was clearly just for entertainment more then a trophy.
Piff and his alter ego won a number of awards for his skills and creativity so obviously this was just done for fun. If I had to guess, his goal was to do the most convoluted trick he possibly could do in the time he had. His genius is definitely not in question as that first trick he did on the show is one of the most creative card tricks many have ever scene and something he did create himself.
Isn't that why every contestant is on the show and why Penn & Teller let them post the video on their YT channel?
Yep. You are right
Everyone gets that.
