Thank goodness there's people in the world like you Bibi. I have my grandmother's old machine. She had passed many years ago when I was young and it recently came into my possession. I never got the chance to sit with her to teach me. Now I can, and can pass those skills on to my daughters. Iam so looking forward to keeping her legacy alive with my future creations. I cant thank you enough

This tutorial has been very useful as it appears that this machine is very similar to the Lemair 933 machine that we recently got asked to have a look at by friends who had it passed down by a couple of generations. The main secret appears which way to thread the needle and once we did this as per your instructions, it sewed pretty good. We're happy that we were able to basically do a home service on it and now our friends are happy.

I am so grateful for your video. It's extremely similar to my Lomain vintage sewing machine and I was about to buy a new machine because I couldn't get the tension right ever! I was missing one of the section to thread through and I thought the 2 silver buttons on the face were just there for this model because the next level machine would have a control there. Now I know it's to keep the stitch width lever in place. Thank you I am so appreciative! You've saved me money and throwing out this lovely machine. I wish I could like this video 10 times!

Lemair Helvetia imported sewing machines, mostly Brothers, and rebadged them for the Australian market. They had a Lemair model 345 for which I have the user guide if you're interested. lemaire-sewing.fandom.com/wiki/Le_345

Great Video! I am new to all of this so I wanted to watch a video before I begin. I do have a sowing machine I've never opened it I don't know the condition of it but I would say it's at least 40yrs old.
    So we will see.

Higher numbers indicate high tension, low numbers indicate low tension. You need a high tension for thick fabrics and low tension for thin ones. If you used a high tension on thin fabrics the material will gather up and pucker
