This was so darn entertaining! Everything that could go wrong seemed to and in the background your husband is laughing. I have truly been there and in a total mess and panic, but in the end it turns out. Whew! Hot Process is not for wimps! Thanks for the video because these situations have happened to many soap makers with the unexpected showing up and then you quickly have to have a solution.
Watch Donata Skinfood. She does huge batches of sbhp soap. He pan is maybe twice that size. She could tell you where she gets her big pot. Good fix on a potential mess.
One lady, had a huge kettle, and son built device to help tilt it so (whether cold or hot process) it would pour into slab molds, made at least 115 bars at one time
This was AWESOME! I think you are just awesome. I LOVE volcano hot process, it's my fav. I feel for your arm and the pain you must feel after that though especially with cfs and Fibro.😣I hope you had a well earmed rest after that. Thanks so much.
I did a 12 pound batch for the 1st time about a month ago but I haven't up loaded the video yet. I used the same method SBHP. The soap I made was called "Land Of Milk and Honey" Its dead Sea clay W/ Goats Mijlk and Honey.
I have watched 100s of soap making vids, you are by far the most real and the funniest ( I'm a hot mess all the time) this is something that I would do 😂 I hope you started feeling better I know the pain you feel. I have RA fibro those flares aren't a bit of fun. Your a true trooper !!!
Beautiful soap. Every time I make hot process soap and remove it from the silicone mold I always get these air bubbles on the sides of the soap but not in the middle when I cut into the loaf. Do you know what I might be doing wrong? I really would appreciate some feedback. Thank you
I got nervous when I seen the mixer part of the Stick Blender, fall into the Soap. I would have been so scared if that happened! Luckily mine hasn't done that to me yet. I have never researched much into SBHP, but from the looks of it, it seems very similar to HTHP. I have been wanting to try HTHP for a while now.

Yes! Papa Smurf lives here too! I love hearing you and Mike laughing when your mixer falls into the soap!
I currently make hp soap in 20lb batches. A 50 qt stock pot and a stainless steel paddle make a world of difference.
I'm so happy I watched this, you gave me a good laugh and I loved watching you make soap. Definitely watching more videos after this 💟💟💟

come on with that vid, I would like to see your vid.
Great video! What size is this pot exactly?
Do the trash can liners leave indentions in the sides of your soap loaf? I hate linking my molds with paper. It’s such a pain!

OH thanks so much!
Hey great video. Where do you get your large shower caps to cover your pot?

Do you pound the mold on the counter? You need to fairly hard but not so hard you splatter soap.
Thursday and Friday down pour with thunderstorms all day. Saturday we are getting snow. Here in DeSoto KS.
Gotta love Spring! :-)
Do you think if you would have divided that big batch in three smaller bowls it would have soaped quicker? I'll tell you you inspire me to make soap.
I produce at a large scale as well. My HP batches average 32lbs.
I love the live. Oh the Drama!!!! Poor mixer.
After you figure out your superfats, do you separated from the rest of the oil batch? And add them after the cook? Thank you in advance

How many quarts is the pot?
At what temperature needs to be the soap to put the milky?
Please, thank you
175 degrees.
Is the process the same if you’re doing a small batch?
So where is your ph test.¿
So no crock pot was used for this soap??? Does this mean crock pot or cooking isn’t necessary?
No, no crockpot. They oils and lye water and heated up so hot it cooks itself.
Is this equal amounts of each oil?
are you related to the Olivants, and the Mckays,Florinoys
