For those of you who feel this goes too fast... Go to the 3 small dots in the upper right corner, click on the Playback Speed and set it to anything less than Normal.
I've been using MyFitnessPal for years but you actually showed me a new trick today by using the nutrition button at the bottom to see my macros, much shorter route than I've been using. Thanks. 👍
Here's what I don't get: let's day you make a big stew or soup. And you eat a portion of that. Am I supposed to guess portion size for that? For example would I go into the app and say 1tbs of lentils, 1 cup of cauliflower, 2 tbs of coconut milk, ect? Because obviously I'm not going to eat the whole pot in one sitting.
My Fitness Pal has a recipe calculator within the app you can use for things like soups and stews. You put in all your ingredients, select how many servings per pot, and it'll spit out the macros per serving.
My dad lost 100lbs. I visited *Next Level Diet* and followed their steps. I only selected food he likes and they provided me with FULL PACKET in seconds. I got 30 days DIET MEAL PLAN, TRAINING PLAN, FITNESS TIPS, and HEALTHY RECIPES as well.
I might have missed you say this but some entries you might have to choose the smallest unit of measurement and select the appropriate number of servings. i.e. 90 servings of 1 gram. awesome video. love the work you put into these.
Thank you so much for showing how to do this, Remington. I hated this app with a passion and now it finally seems easy to use and track my nutrition accurately. I was actually surprised how far I underestimated what I was eating. My hat goes off to you.
I tried downloading that app, don't quite understand how to use it. End up I just did portion control in my food intake, still eat a little of 'bad' food once in a while like potato chips etc. But other than that I really control my meal portion, and I lift weights, doing Full Body Workout 3 times a week and so far still get to see progress. Not saying that this is the best method, but this is what I do for now.
Great help thank you ! I was curious how you'd track some home cooked meals like lasagna or quinoa salad. I'm guessing you'd have to measure out the macro contribution of all individual ingredients, get the net weight and then find out what proportion of that entire meal you're eating. How would you do that on the app ? This seems cumbersome and is likely the biggest factor to my aversion to tracking macros.
But what does it mean in the diary when your goal is say 30% but your total is over that %? It’s really annoying me as I think I’ve gone over the goal! 🤯🤯🤯
You would use raw meat. Cooked meat tends to reduce in size because it loses water and some fat I believe. You would have to weigh everything raw to ensure you’re keeping accurate
5:09.... can someone explain why it says total carbs 41% and Goal 30% but when you click on that it says you are probably not over the amount of grams for your goal? Like why does the percentage make it seem like you went over your goal already?? weren't you supposed to stay at 30%?
Great video, super helpful...the only thing with this video is that I found it going very fast forward...so I needed to hear several parts multiple times:)
So I’m having problems getting my macros to match up with my calories. I’ll get stuck with an odd number that will either put me over or under a specific macro, also the calories are usually over/under. What am I doing wrong?
they won't ever be exact with your calories, I suggest making sure you stay within your protein carbs and fat macros and don't worry too much about the calories fluctuation.
If you make sure to meet or slightly exceed protein, the fats and carbs are interchangeable. Some days you're going to have more carbs than your carb goal, but on those days eat slightly less fat. And it can go the other way as well. Just keep make you calorie total hit your goal. Fats are longer burning but less intensity fuel. Carbs burn up faster, but they're better for explosive movements like lifting weights. No matter if bulking or cutting, make sure you get to your goal for protein. If not your muscles won't repair as quickly
Yo Remington! So, I have a question: I'm a Nutrition Coach and I'm planning to make a similar video, for my audience, so, I was wondering if it's allowed to record these kind of videos or will MFP sue you for copyright infringement or something? 🤔 I'd really appreciate some clarity on this topic, so please respond whenever you can. PS: Awesome video! I'm super glad you made this! 😁💙🫀💚🌎✌🏾💯
I have always had problems with belly fat. After just one month of following diet plan from *Next Level Diet*, I can almost see my six pack. Don't wait, take your plan now!
The part where I get confused is where it says your macros 5:11 like for your carbs it has 41% but your goal is 30% does that mean that you r at 41% of 30% like you have to reach 100% to reach the 30% or how does it work
Actually for those who are new to MFP, a lot of verified or bar code scanned nutrition items are not accurate if you want to be almost 100% exact, so be sure to check the nutrition as well.
The way I have MFP set up is just one diary labeled All Meals I like that everything was under one tab and hid the rest I work 2nd-3rd shift job also something to note for people like me is that the app automatically goes to the next day after 12am so you have to swipe back a day if you need to add something in there.
I may not be first comment but at least I made it here! lol. I've been using mfp since 2012 I also use their map my run app as well to kind of estimate my pace and know when I need to slow down during cardio.
