Like both the fishing and the C&Cs. My only ask, and completely personal preference, is incorporating the cleaning (catch, clean, and cook). I feel like everyone cleans fish a little different, and I'm always looking for new/easier/faster/better ways to prep fish for eating. Thanks!

Great video, Elias! I don’t ever comment on your videos but I’ve been watching for a while now. I enjoy both the catch and cook plus the other vids equally. If anything, the catch and cook is really dope to see how you prepare your fish depending on what species it is. I’m going to keep watching that’s for damn sure! Haha keep it up

I really like the ccc...which is one of the reasons I watch fishing youtubers....First reason, species identification; second different ways to cook them. Which is a long way from my kill it and grill it method. Or have someone else cook it...gets old after 45 years...Third reason is learning different rigging and techniques and actually targeting a species. I got turned on to your channel when you were doing the trash fish taste tests with your friends, year to year and a half ago - they were cool...oooh, maybe its been 2 years,.....i can give you their names, but you probabably already know most of them. Tight lines 😎

Awww man I love steamed fish, especially black bass! Love it when you incorporate some Asian cooking techniques!! I’m pretty sure you already know this, but we typically avoid pouring oil with strong flavour like olive. Sometimes when there’s time we put the sliced green onions into cold water, let it sit for 30min in the fridge. It’ll get all curled up and fancy looking ;) Anyways great video as always, early cheers to your 100k!

I am transcending into fish dining and your catch and cook is helpful. I really don't know much about scaling or not species. Marinating and wrapping in foil to steam.
Thanks for taking the time to explain for the dense ones like me. I only go drift fishing which is just re-opening from lockdown in Pompano 🌴 beach but if I knew where to get fresh stuff then my opportunities will increase.

Great execution of the sea bass! When your steamer is too small you can put the fish on a raised dish like you originally had it in and cover the dish with foil and steam it in the oven. Gives you another option for bigger fish.

Power Pro original. Lasts for Ever, I've been using the same 20 lbs for 3 years now and just thinking about changing it. When you look at it's longevity it's actually cheaper than using mono. And ain't NO way I would have landed my snook (profile pic) on mono!

SE' HABLA SNOOK! I have my original 7 1/2 ft. Limaglass rod, bought from Bett's across from Bay Pines, circa, 62'or 63', with original Quik Super and 30 lb. mono. We used to work em' over, or they worked us over. We plugged, walked the dog with the Zara Spook, made homemade jigs, with real bucktail, still have a few.
I have need for heavier lines for snookin, but getting the light stuff strung for the grandkids.
Where I gap, is mm thickness of the new stuff, vs. the tackle I'll be spooling. The new stuff is super strong, and super thin compared to mono, if I'm on track here.
So many thanks for the rec's.

Are you Atlantic snook, or Gulf? I have a honey hole that escaped the red tide, deep, and protected, by concrete seawall now.
Back in the early 60's, we'd park the car at the rail, get out with rods and go to work, if no action, we moved to the next up on the route.
Now, access everywhere is denied, so shorelines are worked from a boat, smh.

Try this sauce I am recommending. You will love it. 1/4cup water, 3.5 tablespoons light soya sauce, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 dashes white pepper, 1 tablespoon Chinese rice wine. Fry inch length spring onions in separate olive oil for 3 min. Mix all the listed ingredients and pour into frying pot. Cook until boiling over. Then pour over steamed fish on a plate. Works best with pompret, snapper, or grouper.
