      @@laowantongchau of course the knuckledragger comment. Yeah, what you villagers tend to not understand is the F-35 wasn't ever meant to be a "super cruise" 6th gen fighter or anything like that. (The F-22 handles the air superiority/interceptor mission better than anything on the planet at the moment, and it's OLD)
      It was designed to be the most MASS PRODUCED, modular, do it all, hyper networked and SDN fighter/attack aircraft ever. Full stop. It's a jack of all, master of none.
      Nope, can't super cruise. Nope, can't beat an F-16. And yes, pilots make mistakes. I can show plenty of Russian and Chinese pilots doing worse. And plenty of American ones too. But nope, wasn't ever designed to do any of that.
      There is a CATOBAR, traditional and VTOL version sharing the same fly by wire and computing platform. It can fly in a low observable and external hard point max load depending on mission. It can network with dozens of external simultaneous data links - literally NOTHING Else can say that. Oh and it's already been MADE AND DEPLOYED in numbers far more than any other aircraft ever has been WITH one of the most advanced domestically produced turbines ever built by humans.
      I don't even like the F-35 and I can at least think critically about it.
      Grow up kiddo.

      This is the truth. The other pro-china stuff we keep seeing has been such a bore that keep highlighting how quickly they will "beat" the USA. Little do people know is that we have an NGAD in the air, we just havent seen it. Yeah, we are a mess right now with how we are dealing with procurement and now the Pentagon wanting to scrap the F-22, but people forget that China still cant get turbines right and is being powered by Russian smoke makers. Plus, they need 3 of them to get the thrust needed - what does that say? Sure this will change, but it speaks clearly to the environment we are dealing with.

    • @UnexpectedHistory
      @UnexpectedHistory 11 дней назад +3

      @ActuallyJamie - Agreed, but its smallish size tends to point to something multirole rather than straight-up bomber. Which is, I admit, much like the way the B-21 is trending. While it's never a bad thing to have aircraft that can perform in multiple combat arenas, I'd rather see the NGAD and/or FA-XX programs come to fruition. As much as I love the Raptor, it's losing its technological edge over its potential adversaries.

      @UnexpectedHistory Smaller one is more than likely either some sort of RC plane (just like before when that had this badass craft but it was a prop for an upcoming movie) something else they would do is make something fake, and then watch us scramble to try and push something else to be made but it be real and they gather info on us. That's literally how a big chunk of the "game" works. Psychological "warfare". But if it IS real, I would have to say it's either some sort of "loyal wingman" like a drone, OR its some sort of a fighter/interceptor. Still to soon to tell.

    When I was born in China back in the 80s, it was as poor as some African countries I am just glad within such short time, it has become as advanced as it did. People can talk about spying all day but one that understands manufacturing know you can't just "copy" something as sophisticated as jets. It takes a lot of efforts from many engineers to create such things. Another thing to point out is that the Chengdu Aircraft has the number 36011 on it that means it is the 11th aircraft made. I hate to burst bubbles but these are not some early prototypes, that is not how Chinese do things. If they are showing you it means its already in production.

      That's a load of crap, the most expensive and hardest part is research and development, they would be easily still 30 years behind in all these aerospace and telecom markets. The hard part was done, just acknowledge that. Same thing with western semi-conductor industry, they want to by-pass decades of research and market experience by taking over Taiwan all of which was done through US and Western investment. All of the leaders in that industry are from the Dutch, the US, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Same way they took over telecom, Northern Telecom was the biggest telecommunication company in the world, after they got hacked by a certain australian hacker, they started noticing knock off Nortel routers circulating in Chinese markets, they took advantage of the later mismanagement of Nortel after they lost their biggest customer WorldCom, but Nortel was still the biggest telecom in the world, after all the telephone was pretty much invented in north america, with canada being a big player and supplier for cables and networking. Just admit it, aside from hypersonic missile technology, everything else was already researched for them, its just a fact.

      Ability to manufacture for sure. Technological primacy is not a monolithic thing. China has stolen and reverse engineered nearly as many systems from Russia as the US. That being said, Russia still likely has the edge in certain areas like jet engine design, nuclear subs, some types of radars, ICBMs. There are huge question mark areas too. If China's tactical ballistic missile arsenal works as advertised they would be ahead of Russia but that is a big if. I would say in 5-8 years China will likely have eclipsed Russia in every significant area other than maybe ICBM tech which hasn't been a priority for China until recently. Russian policy calls for much more nuclear saber rattling than China.

    For non-STEM people: Electromagnetic waves can be divided into two parts: the part visible to the naked eye and the part invisible to the naked eye. The part that is visible to the naked eye is generally referred to as "light", while radar uses the part that is invisible to the naked eye to detect objects. Stealth fighters have two strategies for avoiding radar detection: 1. by using special materials to absorb some of the electromagnetic waves, 2. by using special geometric surfaces to minimize the reflected electromagnetic waves.

    18:49 I cannot agree with you here. What you say is true for the US now, and not for China anymore.
    Now, China is known for technological advances and lightning-speed construction! Case and point below,
    💥1) High-Speed Rail.
    California passed "Prop 1A" back in 2008, and 16 years have passed, where is the high-speed rail in CA?
    With the exact same 16-year period, China has built the world's longest high-speed rail system from 0 to 70,000 km, that's 2/3 of the world's total length.
    Yeah, we can dismiss that the Chinese stole the technology, but stealing it is one thing, building it and linking the entire nation is another thing!
    💥2) Ultra-High-Voltage Electricity Transfer.
    Around the same period in 2009, China "invented" UHV transmission, and is applying it throughout China. Why this is important?
    People have been saying that ❤AI, ❤smart factory, and ❤industry 4.0 is the next industrial revolution (combine with bring manufacturing back to the US) ... etc. All the above needs electricity! and ALOT of electricity!
    😖i) with the current "not in my backyard" mentality, can new powerplants be build near cities? ... nope ...
    😖ii) with the current 2-party politics, do we really think that new powerplants can be build fast enough for these new technology? ... nope ...
    While China can build powerplants in the desert and ship them to their metro!
    💥3) Electric Cars.
    Yes, Tesla was the first, and the only one for a long time! China on the other hand is catching up so fast that they are making 32% of the total cars made in the world. (from 3.5% back in year 2000)
    💥4)Wind Tunnels. This is used to develop weapons, missiles, and jets.
    JF22 is currently the fastest wind tunnel in the world with top speed of mark 30 ... located in China.
    While the best one is in NASA with a top speed of mark 3.5 ...
    💥5) Rare mineral banned by China.
    China just banned the export of rare minerals to the US. Yes, we have some stocks that can last for a few years. But what do we do after that?

    What worries me most is how fast they have a 6th gen aircraft after making a 5th gen aircraft. It has been only 14 years after the first J-20 images. The pace of innovation in China is incredible. China might be on par or slightly behind with the US in the 6th generation, but maybe ahead in the 7th.

    • @almerindaromeira8352
      @almerindaromeira8352 10 дней назад +5

      We still don't know what they have. 6th gen is not only about fuselage shape but also engine technology, electrical power available and types of weapon. Some say 6th gen designation should apply only if direct energy weapons are included, which are still not feasible in a compact package.

    • @nietkees6906
      @nietkees6906 10 дней назад

      @almerindaromeira8352 There is no 6th gen aircraft yet so we don't know what the requirements of a 6th gen aircraft will be. The requirements are determined by the characteristics of the first next generation aircraft. So if the J-36 comes out and is broadly similar to NGAD it is a sixt generation aircraft.
      The Chinese are also working on variable cycle engines which will likely be incorporated into the J-36 although maybe later on. From what the likely head-engineer of the J-36 published they also want to focus on electrical power available, which is also why it has three engines. I do think lasers are overrated and will probably not be present on 6th generation aircraft. What will be important according to both Chinese and US for 6th generation aircraft are CCAs. So that will probably also be 6th gen requirement.
      To conclude, the J-36 partly determines what a 6th gen aircraft will be and it will likely have what we expect of a 6th gen aircraft.

    I am a Chinese.Not all Chinese support CCP!Not all Chinese are incapable of making objective evaluations. The third engine on the back cannot be a scramjet. The scramjet inlet of TBCC cannot be placed on the top like this. If it was placed on the top It requires an S-shaped air duct. When the scramjet reaches Mach 3 or above, it will produce serious supersonic entanglement, which does not meet the ramjet intake requirements. Moreover, Chengdu Aircraft Corporation has never tested the scramjet series technology. The J20 can't even cruise at supersonic speed for a long time without afterburner. So I personally think that the possibility of TBCC is not high. Instead, it seems to be a compromise choice made to achieve long-term supersonic cruise while taking into account the range of the fighter-bomber. There are several reasons why the third air inlet on the back is not a ramjet. First, the air inlet on the back is just behind the raised cockpit, which is a typical low-pressure area. Ramjet engines rely on high-speed airflow of more than Mach 2.5 to provide initial pressure for ignition. Low-pressure areas will lose a lot of energy, and a higher speed must be maintained to have enough initial pressure to ignite the ramjet. Second, such a high-position air inlet (higher than the cockpit) must use an S-shaped air duct to introduce air into the engine. This S-shaped air duct mechanism has huge energy loss and will produce serious kick flow, which is inconsistent with the huge energy and air pressure required for the start and operation of the ramjet.Third, the air intakes of ramjet engines designed all over the world are located under the belly of the aircraft or in the nose cone in front and are as straight as possible to avoid energy loss. All aircraft or drones with air intakes located on the top of the aircraft are subsonic aircraft or drones that take into account stealth requirements, such as B2/B21. Therefore, this top air intake design is inconsistent with the requirements of ramjet engines. If this top S-shaped air intake is really adopted, it is estimated that the starting speed of the ramjet engine needs to reach more than Mach 3. Can the two WS15 engines at the bottom accelerate such a large fighter-bomber to Mach 3? Obviously, it is impossible!

      Similar black smokes (may differ in quantity) can also be seen in the already matured f22 engines as well as f35 may be due to incomplete combustion or during the transition from dry to wet.

    Been waiting for this video! It really comes down to avionics, flight control systems, integrations etc. The outer design of the plane means relatively little compared to what's underneath the skin. Wont know how advanced these planes really are until we get some more information about that.

      If you're got actual knowledge of US media's past record, if NGAD does take flight there will make it the headline around the globe (i.e.F-22, F-35...etc). However, now us can only mobilize the propaganda machine like this on the Internet, which shows that murica got no real stuff.
