Still waiting for bedrock to get banners marked on maps.... Only been 6 years now
oh so thats why that hasnt been working?! it's not on bedrock. :C
@@gay_goose yup, and it's not even used there much. Debug screen is all the navigation used
It's crazy you cannot mark anything on map in BE. That's a half of functionality missing. And they think it's NORMAL
@@jayd4332 best you can do is slap a map in an item frame, then a marker shows up on the map
@@Mr_Skeletal I actually take some item frames and papers in my map shulker box to do that whenever I travel far. But still, it's really tedious compared to java 😭
I juat realized the "tinkering" part of this update is actually for all the backend changes like the data changes, the piston sound, and entities going through portals
I mean, I get it but not every player has that type of skill, including me. That's kinda why I found it kinda underwhelming, but at the end we got trial chambers :)
@@memeeeisgud making backend clean makes it easier for Mojang to add more dyanmic changes in the future
@@memeeeisgud it also makes it easier for players to make cool things.
Comment about the f3 screen:
A trend about Java exclusives is that Java is way more likely to have features that increase control over your game.
Spectator mode (now also in Bedrock)
Debug stick
f3 screen
Custom superflat
I think Bedrock edition should have all of these in creative mode.
Chunk border view should be in the base game too.
@@ChronuzThat can be fixed with a resource pack
@@LavrentiEmirashvili it should just be a toggle like coordinates are.
Or just remove the debug screen and stick. It clearly was not intended to be available to the players but Mojang caved to java players demands
@@revtemp You forgot spectator mode.
fun fact, on java, even with the attack cooldown, you can spam click your mace with wind burst to sort of save yourself if you miss
Even though java has super slow mace attack speed, don't forget the HUGE advantage of being able to hold wind charges in the offhand.
Also, you don't need a charged attack at all to do a mace smash attack, the attack speed only affects the 6 base damage
It's insane to me how you can't put wind charges in you off hand on bedrock. At least your mace attack is faster
@@aceknight6622All thanks to Mobile Players. At this point, I feel like Mojang should make mobile its own version.
@degs2323 yea I have both but it sucks I'm losing SOMETHING Java has the ability to throw ender pearls past dimensions but the mace is slow asf they both have there ups and downs
@@degs2323mobile has far to many players for them to make it a separate version but yeah I agree that mojang should add features even if it makes it difficult for mobile players like the advanced combat system and off hand
@@calabemccoolI'm not sure if it's entirely about difficulty for mobile players. On two of the three mobile control settings, the only way I can see offhand working is if offhand gets its own button off to the side somewhere to toggle between the main hand and offhand. Only one mobile control setting has buttons that are equivalent to "left click and right click." I swapped to play that one because I genuinely expected that the other two would be cut from the game to make control parity work better.
I don't even think timing hits would be that bad on mobile. In my opinion, the main thing that can make combat hard on mobile is actually aiming. Timing hits probably won't make it much worse.
I knew I wasn't crazy about the bubble UI
there is a new sound as well for losing bubbles
I never knew that the Bubble Oxygen Bar on bedrock was updated, I like it.
it isn't on java so it is bad
mojang really needs to delete bedrock features for java parity. Bedrock should be the same as java or they should delete bedrock
@@lerelouporrr... they could just add some bedrock features to java... no need to "delete bedrock"
@@lereloup No! Mojang should never, NEVER! Delete Bedrock Edition. Not by a long shot. Unless you meant something different.
@@bloxboy72 true. They haven’t done that In 2024 so far. But in 2023 they did, they Prevented Horses Donkey’s & Polar Bears from fitting in Boats, & they Removed the String Recipe instead of adding this stuff to bedrock.
The @n is basically the same as @e[sort=nearest,limit=1] so it condenses a command that was previously used commonly
Yes I remember the salmon piston otherwise known as the fishton
3:15 actually, as they reverted the change, it now works the same as on Bedrock edition, where having fire prot 8 (so 2 pieces of fire prot 4) makes you extinguish instantly when on fire
Basically same as normal, Java gets love, Bedrock is still hated by Mojang Devs.
Hows the weather going?
It's almost like Java is the version the core dev team makes out of love. Modern bedrock is made with less love imo; legacy Console and pocket clear
To be honest it feels like bedrock gets a lot of love nowadays, like for the 15th anniversary all it got was 3 capes, while bedrock got 3 capes, 16 cosmetics, a free map, and a free addon
@@iplayminecraft2248 yeah but that's cuz Java doesn't have a built in storefront
The whole point of the mace is to do insane damage from falling, not just attacking
3:24 they did change, the change didn't get just reverted, it got buffed. You can instantly put yourself out of fire with enough fire protection. I find that huge
I mean I’m still waiting for the /place structure command for bedrock edition it’s rigged that Java has it but we do not
I just want to be able to put potions and dye into cauldrons in Java, it's simple but useful and actually gives cauldrons a use...
Wait do structure/jigsaw blocks not work?
@@TheDampFieldthey mean spawning structures like villages and jungle temples not things that you have to save manually
@@crazycanyon3028 No but I thought the jigsaw block already had saved structures? No?
Th mace is actually very balanced on Java. In exchange for terrible DPS, you can do the smash attacks very easily and you don't need to wait for the cooldown for the smash attacks. The fact that we have an offhand that actually functions as a hand immediately makes the mace more powerful than if it was just slower.
I wouldnt say balanced. Too much nerfed in my opinion.
0.8 attack speed would be perfect. Still slower than axe, but useful.
“We have an offhand that actually functions as a hand” is super funny to me for some reason
This explains why my new railway through a portal just makes minecarts disappear.
Kinda bored of people not saying when things are java exclusive tbh, I thought new stuff would be parity.
Oh god, I never stopped to think just how badly balanced/implemented the mace is in bedrock lmao
The attack speed is what balances it out. If you take the attack speed away from the whole combat system, so much would need to be changed it’d be a mess
0:45 1.10 on java was the frostburn update lol
on the sign for the boat leash bedrock parity it said "(Bedrock party)" not (Bedrock parity)
♪Everybody, party down Bedrock Edition; everybody, jam♫
@NovaAge if that's an actual song, then what's it named?
As a bedrock player who uses entites in commands... Why don't we have @n... thats so annoying, it'd be so useful!!
@e[c=1]
You forgot that fire aspect was buffed on Java, it works with all mobs in a sweep attack, and it didn't used to, as well as parity with lighting campfires with fire aspect.
well sweeping edge has always been java exclusive
@@jacobmillen7452 But he was covering the Java exclusive changes anyway, but left the fire aspect changes out.
Seriously? That's a huge change. Yeah, that was worth mentioning.
That's a nerf, if you want freidns.
The fire aspect changes were reversed in Java before 1.21 was released.
18:04 the nearest entity is always gonna be yourself 😂 [type=!player]
Yeah, but in command blocks you can do that now I guess. It used to be that you would write @e[c=1] which means the closest 1.
@@blueslime5855it used to be @e[sort=nearest,limit=1]
Idk what you mean with c=1 but it wasn’t that lol
In that specific scenario, yes. But he’s just quickly explaining it, I don’t think he actually thinks that’d work
How do I get that rapid fire crossbow they had in the trailer!? 🤣
Quickcharge but on steroids
you can preload crossbows, so if you have a hotbar of loaded crossbows you can rapid fire them (you can actually see the character equip each crossbow)
Thank you for pointing out the mace inconsistencies between bedrock and java, I see no one else talking about this.
Fun fact: If you are not doing smash attacks, the mace does less damage on average than a diamond shovel, but only on java. On bedrock its the same as a diamond pickaxe.
The mace is indeed a special weapon
a weapon that can one shot the wither is totally underpowered and weak... might wanna check your facts again...
@@GamestaMechanic who said the mace was weak? It's just the base stats that are weaker on java than on bedrock.
@@valer_ioo That stat is completely irrelevant to look at alone. It's like looking at a cannon ball and calling it weak because it doesn't have a cannon to shoot it. The purpose of the mace is to come from a tall height and slam a target. The 6 damage only happens if you did NOT use the weapon correctly. Another comparison, that's like using a sword against someone with a shield equipped and calling the sword weak, use the weapon correctly.
@@GamestaMechanicthey never called it weak
Mace is and should be a niche weapon, thats its whole identity. Balancing out the dps through slower hard hitting hits would just replace swords in a decent amount of cases. The fact you can do massive damage in specific situations is what balances the low base damage and speed out
1:45 lol german text
The mace is meant to be enchanted. Those enchantments are designed to stack damage. The way they do that is with a skill shot. So it makes sense that the base damage is really low. That's not how it's intended to be used. The issue here is the cookie clicker style of combat on bedrock. What's the point of a skill weapon in a combat system that operates with fastest clicker wins? The bedrock mace is op. Not the java one is nerfed.
the empty chests in trial chambers are evil
To be honest it makes sense the mace's attack speed is slower because the Market Gardener has 20% slower firing speed.
fr
the mace also cant random crit...
I just want native controller support on java and I'll be happy
Controller is so much worse than keyboard and mouse 😭
@@fredericcasual controller is a lot more comfortable to me and makes the game more enjoyable
@@friendhuman Well, good for you then
The hoops u have to jump thru to get a controller to work with Java is insane given how easy it is for most other games that also don’t have native support. M&K with Minecraft just feels weird and unintuitive to play for me, it def is one of the reasons I stay with bedrock. And I say that having played Elden ring on M&K. The controls are already there, just make it work natively. Especially with Microsoft owning them. I don’t use Xbox but steam makes mapping super easy it can’t be that hard. I got it working on my steam deck with mods mapped to controller as well. I just don’t play modded often and that’s the only reason I play Java but I can’t imagine Xbox can’t make that work.
The Bubble bar Upgrade and the day counter is best changes to Bedrock Edition now ❤
14:26 The mace has 5 attack damage on bedrock and 6 attack damage on Java so they did somewhat balance it
Parody becomes a more complicated issue every time I watch one of these
So at 3:00 , you see that ibxtoycat is holding a Netherite Chestplate with Blast Protection 4, but because Mojang reverted the change, so it stacks again, which I'm happy about.
So that essentially means if you have enchanted all pieces with Blast Protection 4 , it technically counts as Blast Protection 16, which gives you 128% reduction to 'Explosion Damage' and 'Explosion' Knockback'.
But because of that, there happens a glitch where wind burst doesn't work as it's seen by the game as 'Explosion Knockback' , so I hope that they can fix that bug because it is kind of annoying if you're used to getting launched in the air, and all of the sudden you just fall and land normally.
I found this out because I was using the mace for the first time in 1.21 and thought it was because of 'Armor Touchness' or something like that, but then I figured out that it was Blast Protection because I took regular armor and then it worked just fine.
ACDC reference much appreciated
1:49 warum ist es auf deutsch? Why is it in german
The thing is that mouse + keyboard is vastly superior option for playing minecraft to touchscreen or gamepad. It's much easirer to play and fight with M+K. That is why there is a cooldown on Java and not in Bedrock edition. It would make fight experience for people on phones, tablets and consoles miserable. They need spamming.
No. There’s plenty of games on both console and mobile that have active combat systems where timing is important
The mace balancing on java and bedrock sounds awfully familiar to what happened to Camels.
Java Camels are amazing. Long jump, quick turn, health (they usually survive a creeper blasts in my experience).
But the bedrock camels are terrible at turning and dont jump as far as java ones.
Camels are nerfed on bedrock. Similar to the mace.
I really hope these data driven music discs come to bedrock, because I want to play Power Rangers themes in my Minecraft world.
The more red stone from wichs needs to be added to bedrock in the next miner update
Perfect tnt drops AND splash potion duration parity with regular potions? I've been waiting for these things almost since I started playing minecraft!
imo the mace having a completely different attack style is cool, having a lower base damage forces the player to use the mace from heights instead, it's basically meant to be a one-time big blow that can kill most mobs in an instant and disperse a hoard for a few seconds
I don't think we should expect it to act like a sword and be able to spam it at all
Amazing content 😊
so bedrock decided to implement a few features from a java mod called minihud, that a ton of people use. Good choice. (I mean the coordinate and times played toggles, and the fact that minihud had a ton more of those alongside them.) It's a fully client side mod with compatibility with the fabric loader, which provides a ton of information, and anyone can set up personally what information they want to see, and in some cases, even how they want to see it. Let's say slime chunks. This mod can either highlight them with glowing green boxes, or just say wether you're currently in a slime chunk or not.
10:54 6th bar, horse health
The attribute command in general isn’t on bedrock edition, which stinks because I wanted to mess around with giant villagers.
@toycat the mace is debatably better than the sword in Java when it’s enchanted - especially with wind burst which lets you chain hits which effectively negates the debuff from the attack cool down
So no hardcore mode yet…
:(
Didn't know about the bubble breathing
The reason they nerfed the mace's attack damage AND speed is that they don't want it to be used just on the ground. However, I feel like it should still have alot more base damage, just becasue it's obviously so heavy and powerful.
Sad why can't achievements and advancements get parity???
idk I kinda like the global achievements in bedrock.. Maybe they should make it a setting so you can choose to have individual advancements on specific saves but hyea idk
I wish Java & Bedrock had both. I like that Achievements on Bedrock apply to any world you play in, but can only be done in survival without "cheats", meaning that you've put in the effort to earn that Achievement. I also like that Advancements in Java only apply to one specific world, giving you a sort of checklist of things to do.
If we can just get a Borderless Fullscreen option on bedrock edition, that would be great. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I really want sweeping edge to come to bedrock
I think minecraft bedrock should focus updated the nether and end dimension loading screen because i like it so much.❤❤❤
I noticed the bubble change immediately, but I thought it was because of my texture pack and I just didn't notice it before
In bedrock edition the mace has 5 attack damage as on Java it’s 6 attack damage
Posting while live :0
Please please try the modpack on Java that recreates the console edition
Didnt expect german in a toycat video
What about the EXP bar that is yet another status bar, I have also found that unless you "don't" have something in your off hand, you can't do certain actions with whatever you are using. For example removing wax from waxed copper items. Then waxed items will sometimes return the wax and others not I haven't found any pattern. It sometimes will return the wax from naturally spawned waxed items and others not. Something else is that copper doors have the same resistance as iron against zombies and skeletons. This is all on Java.
pro tip, use trapdoors instead of regular doors for entrances
@@MaliceIncar-Hated Depending upon what I'm doing I will use both, neither or only one or the other. I have even made a nice little shack that is kinda buried in the ground half way with the ability to withstand most explosive actions and no it doesn't use any obsidian or similar it uses a way of negating all explosive damage with water but obsidian doesn't do that so I don't use it. I have also seen that on occasion the certain aggressive mobs get right through the gaps left by trap doors. This said most mobs even if they are aggressive get confused by trap doors. There are also some problems with stairs occasionally allowing mobs to spawn where they shouldn't.
It's also on bedrock, somvies break doors
@@jedstanaland2897 oh no I don't mean that, I just mean using trapdoors for a crawl entrance so mobs can never fully enter
The thing is mojang devs don't want to create another axe to the game
When will hardcore release for bedrock
And bedrock is just getting a day counter on worlds 😔
Trial chambers are unplayable on Nintendo switch. The hardware just can’t support that many entities and particle effects being rendered.
3:24 the sign says "Bedrock Party" not "Bedrock Parity"
On trial chamber #11 with no Heavy Core and 5 music discs lol! To be honest, not even mad! Lots of XP!
when will we get new ui????
the lack of parity is something that consistently annoys me when playing minecraft on bedrock, I don't have java, and it's easier to play on bedrock anyway because I play on xbox, but it's very frustrating because I've been looking into and learning commands and the things I want to do with them are either way more complicated or not possible at all on bedrock
An update that I think would be VERY healthy for the game is a full parity update, that maybe adds like 1 or 2 features, like the buzzy bees update but for parity, I would love to see mojang just go in and hash out how they're going to fix a lot of these parity issues, and deciding what to keep and what to throw, because at the end of the day, if 100 years of minecraft (minecraft forever 100 years! iykyk) is their goal, then thy will have to do this with every feature we have today anyway, but if they take the time to just make a huge parity update, making the versions pretty much the same with maybe a few minor differences then making updates form then on will be easier because the differences won't impact the content of the update as much (like with the mace)
0:14 1.15 was the buzzy bees update, not 1.14
Edit: also wasn't 100% of tnt drops announced like 4 years ago?
17:28 This is so funny
I need an auto cobblestone farm but I have one with a tnt duper lol.
Bedrock has a special spot in my heart
6:01 as someone who does bedrock commands all the time I'm devastated I can't just use @n, it would make my job so much easier 😭
Everyone should know parity is complete and utter corporate doublespeak BS. Any time Mojang uses that word, they're doing something dishonest
i hope minecraft is not getting rid of mods
Imagine if they added the Java combat to bedrock because of a fricking mace
So, bedrock actually got the village and pillage update title before Java.
Were villagers trades nerfed? Someone please tell me as I’m too scared to update to 1.21 as I might lose all my villagers
I had no problem updating for bedrock. All my villagers were still around and they all had their respective trades.
@@YeeNahhhh even librarians?
@@MemeGamerBoi yeah
No, that's been delayed again, and like the bundle, probably isn't going to happen.
I think it's still available as an experimental option when you create a world if you want it.

How do i know if my minecraft is bedrock just by looking at this beta sign?
Wait so how step by step do I access the day counter on Xbox
Xbox 360?
Bro smack talks about mouse and keyboard and then immediately starts playing better
Why was it in German
So, even less parity while Mojang uses it as an excuse to nerf Java because of it.
Late to the party, but underwater drowning takes 3 to 4 times as long.
I want a java bedrock command parity :(
I’m confused what @n does with commands

I noticed the bubble thingy myself
Am a bedrocker i know alot
why is there a random German sentence in the nether
I get the idea for bedrock is probably aimed at kids who would complain about a combat system but I tried pvp it's not fun if you get one hit in every fight
Is anybody else wondering what he couldn’t say? To get better red stone? 👀
phenix say bedrock dev experiment on removing he essensial file for modding it's might be just he small change if they found he remplacement but be eware
@toycat hi
You forgot to meantion the worst part of the 1.21 version (including the 1.20.5+ versions) is the new /give command where now does not work the old ones like: /give @a wooden_hoe{Enchantments:[{lvl:7,id:sharpness}]} because after the itemname therese now a [ ] not a { } and also you have a list of what you can do there, i mean it not be a problem to make a list, but it useless, i just can not use this new type /give command, because there is no information how to use it and also you can not write easily the things what you want and the command generators does not work there
Hey Ibx boy cat
16:00 you’d get in trouble for saying to play Java?
hiii
Where is hardcore mode in bedrock?
it's still in preview since they have to patch all the bugs relating to sudden deaths and such
Does anyone else have a bunch of empty chests in their trial chambers? Every chest I’ve open so far hasn’t had anything in it 😭 (I play on Nintendo switch)
These chests are meant to be empty so you can put stuff in
Why Mojang?
