    I think the price is high on the smaller ones because they are desirable as monitors. Also, probably won't go as bright because the pixel density won't allow it. Might be a heat dissipation problem.
    I think also that LG can make their most desirable monitors "imperfect" (they will sell anyway) to make room for incremental improvements later. These improvements are planned beforehand and are implementable now, but are not (the opposite of planned obsolescence)

    This didn't sway me. Both were significantly reduced in price during bf (lower than the corresponding c1 models), but the 48” was still about $300 cheaper. So I got the 48” and I love it. Had an old Samsung flat screen for 8 years. 48"
    Just upgraded to the c2 48". Absolutely mind blowing video and clarity! 🤯 though after all my research, I obviously didn't dig deep enough to find out the c1 and c2 48" are nearly identical, c1 being cheaper. But everything is set up. Too much hassle to return and get the c1, lol

    • @kristijanEX
      @kristijanEX Год назад +4

      Not nearly identical, the 48 inch C2 is brighter than the 55 inch C1, let alone a 48 inch C1. The C1 might have 120hz BFI, but if you play on a PS5/XBSX then that's not gonna matter plus it increases input lag anyways so any competitive gaming talk is unfounded even if the motion looks clearer.

      ...

    • @kristijanEX
      @kristijanEX Год назад +4

      @@bojidardimitrov4361 yes, if you don't believe me then watch Samuel Jones Tech side by side comparison C2 vs C1 since he uses a 55 inch C1 and 48 inch C2. The camera makes the difference bigger than it is, but if the camera makes the smaller C2 look brighter then it's still brighter even if it's only like a 50 nit difference (estimated) in 5-10% window or 20-25 nits in full field brightness.
      The C2 48 inch is between the 55 inch C1 and C2 in nit count and therefore brightness, except the C2 has slightly less ABL, better motion interpolation, a better processor...etc. The only reason to want the C1 over the C2 is if you really need 120fps BFI which adds input lag and makes the screen less bright anyways, but gives you 240fps motion clarity if you really need it.
      Plus your space demands a 48 inch TV and if you went with a 48 inch C1 it would be even less bright. C2 prices are dropping fast and the new C3 is on it's way so it will drop even more. Just get the C2.

    Is the 48 still really good for gaming?

    • @Bailey0li
      @Bailey0li Год назад +2

      If you use the 48 inch for gaming there will be no significant change compared to the 55 as you are viewing the tv at a closer range however if you plan to put the tv in a living room which is in a lighter environment and further sitting distance then the increased brightness caters for that - so the 55 is best for lighter and longer viewing distances mainly for movies and the 48 is better for up-close gaming as the pixels appear brighter when your closer to the screen

    The difference in pricing for 42" vs 48" is the glass cutting costs for the panels, 42 is way more expensive due to this as a rule, hence the 48 being around £300 cheaper.

    • @ItsSamuelJones
      @ItsSamuelJones  2 года назад +3

      no reason for the 42 to be more expensive. I can understand the same price but not more.

      @@ItsSamuelJones There is more waste of the panel when cutting smaller screens hence the increased cost buddy. It should in theory come down when they can produce more and lower costs. Time will tell!
