Bought my LGC2 65" back in April for like $1700 at Best Buy with absolutely no regrets. My primary console is XBSX but I also have PS5 and Switch plugged in as well. This is my first OLED and I was a bit concerned initially with burn-in, but I'm thrilled to say 8 months later that no burn-in whatsoever. Great television on nearly every level. Great review. Thanks for posting.
Think I paid about 1400 probably some months after you. Making my last payment beginning of the month. Had the no interest deal for 2 years. Great purchase. Wish I bought this first instead of the Samsung I had.
LG TVs are phenomenal, especially for gaming but they're also notoriously expensive at launch, so it's always better to wait until they go on sale. I bought my 65" LG C1 for £2,460 in March last year, and by the end of the year it was going for £1,600.
I picked up the 42 inch C2 on a 10% discount. I am upgrading from a 2017 LG TV and the HDR/Dolby Vision was an eye sore. Really needed this upgrade plus all the new gaming features for my Xbox and PS5 to take advantage of.

Same! I almost feel bad for not using my PC my PC has a 2070 and performs incredibly, but I can't help shake couch and controller. The Xbox Series S converted me about 6 months ago and I've gone down a rabbit hole on Console Gaming since then, cheers!
@@jaytaybrae3766 the setup makes it harder with a TV of this size, particularly if you're using mouse and keyboard. That's why LG made the C2 in smaller versions; 42" and 48", perfect for desktop gaming.

I bought it 42c2 around a month ago on Amazon because nobody had it. I think I got the bad lottery one though. Anyways reason I got this size is because I had bought the 48c1 and it didn't fit inside my semi truck. Also this 42c2 is way lighter and with a padded carrying tote tv bag I'm able to transport it traveling easier than the 48 or larger. I also had returned the sony 43 85jx and the Samsung 43 qled because they're liars doesn't have 120 hz as stated and the picture quality is horrible the colors on faces changes and motion is super blurry. Once I tried the 48c1 oled there wasn't anything that was worth the quality of an oled period. This is my reason why I bought the LG 42 C2 OLED.

Totally agree about the clutter on web os ... but the reason I am here is to see the PS5 Auto configuration .. which you don't show (and I haven't found anybody else doing). You just show the TV setup. What am I meant to see from PS5 ... my Current Video output is showing 3840x2160 - 60Hz, colour format RGB (HDR), HDCP 2.3 ... Is that expected?? It says 120Hz is supported for HDR and non-HDR, so why isn't it using 120Hz??? Screen and Video Resolution is set to Automatic, with an option to Test 1440p Output ... does that mean it is 1440p??? Why are you making a difference between console and PC gaming in this video? My PC and PS5 are both hooked up to the C2 (42 inch because it's on my desk). The TV is excellent for both types of gaming, considering it is GSync and FreeSync compatible.
I know this is an old post, buy ih well... The thing is the PS5 and Series X did a great job to close the gap between PC and Consoles, so if you play om PC mostly for the graphics, now we have consoles that can deliver a very close PC experience with all the convenience of a living room device. Sure, you can plug your PC on your TV, but consoles are just more convenient.
I've got an LG bx and the only problem woth that I can see for myself is there's only 1 hdmi 2.1 so if you have both consoles just pick 1 for your 120hz console and put the other in a 4k 60hz hdmi 2.0 slot just for the fact there ain't many games that give you 120hz on either console I've had the series X for 15 months well happy with it but that's going in the 60hz slot now the ps5 is here Ps games are a lot better for now! But the series X showcase and Startfield looked amazing, won't be 4k 60hz tho on series X It will be 1080p or 1440p at 60fps Or 4k at 30fps 'which shouldn't be a thing' Every game now days should be at least 60fps

VRR is more oriented to PC gaming. I've yet to get any screen tear on locked FPS games. The problem with vrr it adds some input lag. Also the monitor does a scan out to strech 60hz to higher hz tv/ monitor. This will add some input lag as well. 4k gaming is to intensive on the gpu's. That's when you start seeing frame drops. Once you've been on a long gaming session. The series X will be running hotter. I'll probably use the C1 only for some single player games. As for FPS games it's a bad combo IMO. You can find all this stuff online. Some good information out there.

nice review but you never mentioned how it is watching movies and shows, which is also what TV's are used for. How was it for you watch movies and was is bright enough in dark scenes ?
Hey man, you're right I probably should've focused more on media content, I was definitely bright enough for the dark scenes for me, although I'm far from picky. Being next to a window, you sort of just get used to it. I'm going to be doing a comparison on the TCL R646 which is a mini-LED 4k 120hz, will probably post next week. I'll 100% be sure to focus more on media. If I recall though LCDs get brighter! keep an eye out for that video, we'll both get a better idea, cheers!
Is there some black film or something you can get to put over the stand? The light gray looks ugly and distracting, and as was pointed out in the video, light is clearly reflecting off it when watching in a dark room. That would definitely be an issue for me.

Can't believe I'm getting this soon
NICE! What size? So exciting.
@@MinimalisTech 48 inch
Great review. Is the 55in good enough in your opinion, or would you have gone bigger? Thanks again
Definitely woulda gone bigger! A lot of the sizes are on sale now too. 65” would be perfect for me.
55” is still ok though.
@@MinimalisTech Got it! if i go for the 55, i would put in the bedroom.
I left my OLED Note 8 phone cranked to full brightness one time and the next morning got the you tube line and play logo marks burned in to the screen. Just saying.
I got the c1 65" openbox on bestbuy at 900 usd , very happy with it
Was that a Tom Delonge signature Gibson i saw 🤘
A great video. Thank you for confirming that it can run 4k 120.
For some reason I’m stuck with 2k 120. I was gonna return it, but I can see now I’m just not doing something right.
Some people say you need high quality 8k HDMi cable. And not too long cable either
@@popeyepanther4519 yea I had an 8k cable. I didn’t know it was too long. I found out if it’s too long, it can’t have copper in it. I bought a 60ft copper free cable and I got 4k 120 now. Thanks for letting me know.
120hz gaming next gen
Cx all day Rocks whoever has it.
Do yourself a favor & get a home theater system!!! Good sound can't be overstated.
Bag of milk? Do they have a shortage of plastic jugs where you live? Does this also mean you get your eggs in a wooden bucket? Do your apples come in a used sock?
u do know that u can still connect ur RTX powered pc to this tv and get the best of both worlds right? this tv is not limited to just consoles...
Damn I just finished paying off my LG CX with 2.1. I own both PS5 and Xbox series x. I love my LG only issue is every LG I've owned screen burn in is a consistent issue.
Put 6k hours on my CX with 0 burn in.
CX is the best TV I've ever had!! No need to upgrade
nice review but you never mentioned how it is watching movies and shows, which is also what TV's are used for. How was it for you watch movies and was is bright enough in dark scenes ?
Hey man, you're right I probably should've focused more on media content,
I was definitely bright enough for the dark scenes for me, although I'm far from picky. Being next to a window, you sort of just get used to it.
I'm going to be doing a comparison on the TCL R646 which is a mini-LED 4k 120hz, will probably post next week. I'll 100% be sure to focus more on media. If I recall though LCDs get brighter!
keep an eye out for that video, we'll both get a better idea,
cheers!
Which monitor you’re using on your pc for gaming??
Basically size is big problem how ? 32 we thought better if any promotional offers
I'm cloud gamer. proud to say stadian.
No Display port so for gamers you are limited by HDMI
i’ve been using a 13 year old tv to play my xbox series x i really need to upgrade 😭 the 48” is on sale for 1500 Canadian, might splurge 👀
Is there some black film or something you can get to put over the stand? The light gray looks ugly and distracting, and as was pointed out in the video, light is clearly reflecting off it when watching in a dark room. That would definitely be an issue for me.
Hey What's you're HDMI splitter you were using with your previous TV? Was it working flawlessly? I'm looking for one. Thanks
48” $991 at nefm. Worth it?
What level of brightness do you have it set too while gaming ?
You have to put energiesaving off then the brightness goes up alot
Mind sharing your settings when gaming on PS5?
Following this comment for when he responds
Did you really just lift a 55inch OLED on top of your unit on your own 😮👀

Any chance this LG C2 65” will be like $1,000 by March 2023???
A bag of milk? Never heard of that one 😂
CX is even thinner. CX/1/2 are awesome.
