Oh yes he has training; he has trained for over 10 years to perfect that voice. He started with Italian, then German, then Portuguese (his native tongue) before finishing in English. Apparently he did this in this fashion to honor as many of his international fans as he could as those are the languages most spoken by his fans. He leaves no doubt this song is Heaven's triumph. Everything he does he does with perfection and power. His ability to gild songs with metal seamlessly without overpowering the original and balancing the metal with the vocals so that both are accessible is something I especially appreciate.
This is the first time I have come across Brittreacts. Fist of all you are impossibly pretty and charming. I have only been aware of Dan for about 10 weeks. I never thought of Metal Music as a valid genre as it just sounded like noise and screaming and I was busy raising kids and there was more than enough noise in our house!! But when Google flashed "Heavy Metal Singer Covers Amazing Grace, my curiosity made me listen to it, totally expecting him to ruin this beloved, reverent song. Dan was like getting struck by lightening. I was left with my mouth open, unable to process what I had just experienced. I played it again right away and was even more in awe. What a tremendous gift he has been given and perfected and he cannot possibly understand what an impact he has had on the outside world. On top of all this, he is an especially warm-hearted being. How lucky we have been blessed with his brilliant music. #newheavymetalfanthankstoDan.☺
Dan's performances are just so 'polished' and professionally presented! I just can't get enough of listening to him. Thankyou for your lovely reaction. Please give us more of Dan❤❤
When a singer's jaw is completely open during a sustained note, we say that "his/her jaw is dropped and locked ", meaning fully open and allowing the most sound to come dramatically and out.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Dan is such a joy to listen to and so are you. I just love the fact that you do appreciate the effort and technique he puts into his performances. You have the day you deserve! Thank you!
For anyone new to Dan, here’s some additional info… Dan is classically trained, has a 3-4 octave range, arranges/produces each song, plays multiple instruments, and hails from Brazil. He has over 200+ covers covering opera, musicals, show tunes, pop, rock, hard rock, and metal. He did have his own band called Fearless. His brother was the guitarist and the other members were childhood mates. Currently, he is a solo artist. Their EP is available on his channel. FYI, his dad gave him a harmonica when he was 7 yrs old and it was the first instrument he learned how to play. Enjoy exploring his channel. As an opera fan, I love his straight cover of Nessun Dorma. It is from Giacomo Puccini’s Italian opera called Torandot. Some other highlights are his cover of Disturbed’s version of the Sound of Silence, Evanescence’s Bring me back to life, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, Mulan’s I’ll Make a Man Out of You, various songs from The Witcher, and so much more. P.S. Dan’s dream of 1M subs is getting close. He currently has a little over 800K subs. So if you like what you here, please sub to his channel. ❤ My apologies for the lengthy comment, I’m just a huge fan of his work. Peace, love, and light to all.
@@TBelle507 If a musician sings or plays a scale ('do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-si-do') the first and last 'do' are an octave apart. It is called an 'octave' because there are eight notes in a scale ('octo' is Latin for 'eight'). Dan sings very low notes to very high notes, which is the range of his voice. Just count the number of octaves from the lowest note to the highest note. Hope that helps 🙂
@@heatherG1974 Hello Heather. Thank You for responding & explaining octaves. To know how many octaves an artists has, just by hearing, is left for the experts. In this case, Daniel has 4octaves. You are saying he has 32 what ? Is that as impressive as It sounds? How many octaves are there?
I first heard this in the opening of FNT's Christmas stream about a year and a half ago. It was GLORIOUS, and really set the Christmas mood for that stream. I was disappointed they didn't use it again for their last Christmas stream.
Thank you for reaction. Dan studiied singing lyrical and contemporary. He sing metal and opera. Listen Gethesemane (opera rock Jesus Christ Superstar). ❤ Brazil
Great awesome voice great reaction by you again like always you look so awesome today hope your doing well and healthy today too thank you so much for sharing your video with us love you it Britt.🤗👍
Love your reaction and your comments. I only recently discovered Dan Vasc and I'm finding I can't get enough of his music! I'm sure others have already mentioned this, but the first verse was in Italian, the second was in German, the third in Portuguese and, of course, the last in English. The chorus is always sung in Latin. "Gloria" is the Latin word for "Glory." "In exceslis deo" is Latin for "God in the highest." So the chorus is basically 'Glory to God in the highest."
You mentioned a hint of a smile you had not seen yet. He does do some covers that he seems to really just have fun and enjoy. Kickstart my Heart and Heaven is a Place on Earth come to mind. There are more, but those two are particular favorites of mine.
Good reaction! Just for future Dan reactions, you dont have to worry about copyright issues. Dan has stated anyone can use his videos as they please, hes happy for the exposure. So go ahead and let us see him! 😊 More songs to react to by Dan vasc ... all of them! He's 😅really great.
Wonderful reaction, thank you for taking the time to really share your thoughts! Dan works hard to keep improving his techniques and voice, he has lots of songs on his channel, I hope you will dive in and enjoy them.
You don’t need to alter his videos for copyright infringement. He had given permission for them to be used. The visual of Dan is very important. He is so expressive.
Sung this way, this song is NOT a sweet, pretty carol. It's a strong, fierce testament to God's triumph. I can just visualize a fierce choir of angels roaring this out.
I may have the order wrong but it is Portuguese, Italian, German, English and of course the chorus is in Latin. Speaking of Christmas, his Handel's Hallelujah is awesome.
Enjoyed your reaction! ⭐️ The background voices of the male choir that you could hear starting at around the halfway point was 60 stacked vocal tracks and Dan sang every one of them. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
He speaks 4 languages I love watching you react to Mr Dan Vasc watch him sing Dawn of a new world by Dragon Force it’s a must you will love it it shows another side of his talent
This version was entirely designed to convey the idea of Archangel Michael walking the Earth in triumph. This is even shown in the luminous "wings" folded over Daniel's shoulders. He is a force of Nature, perfectly directed and controlled - trained to perfection to achieve his desired results. He Is a warrior of Light who has found his path, gracefully distributing drops of healing frequencies and power to all people - in every note, in every syllable. Thank you for your reaction. Greetings from Curitiba - Brazil. 🇧🇷
You don't have to alter the visual he has given the permission saying anyone can use his videos for anything and he won't claim copyright... Check his community post
If you haven't listened to the Tommy Johansson version, then i highly suggest it. He does symphonic metal versions of old songs. His voice is more than amazing 😊
Sometimes for me, hearing Spanish, French, and Italian is harder to distinguish what language it is because they are a group of languages called romantic languages. We speak English, that is a group called the Germanic languages, such as English, German, Swedish......
Just thought I'd include one more if interested. "Lou Rawls - You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine (Official Soul Train Video)" Take good care and I'll catch Ya Later~
Really loved your reaction! I don’t know if anyone else mentioned that as a viewer, you can’t see Dan’s performance, you can mainly see the plant and a faint image of the video. I will look at more of your reactions in case this was a one time thing.
If you like the theater in this you should view his Phantom of the Opera and Gethsemane videos. He could easily be on the stage if he wanted to, I swear he's a closet actor.
Since you like rock covers of songs I suggest you look up a guy called Tommy Johansson and his rendition of "You raise me up", you won't be disappointed.
I would’ve LOVED to have seen this but couldn’t watch.😔 I couldn’t even see him on your screen. Dan doesn’t copyright any of his work. He wants everybody to share it freely on RUclips.
Dans video's are not copywritten as they are produced for RUclips, he gets any copywrite first. So you can safely do away with faded background and raindrops!
You really need to make a habit of reading a video's description, esp Dan's. It gives you some knowledge when you're giving commentary. Also "Gloria in excelsis Deo" is not English; it's actually Latin, meaning "Glory to God in the highest", the words the angels were singing in the Scriptures (Luke 2:14). So point of fact, Dan is singing in FIVE languages ❤
Not sure why you show the artist's video blurred to look like a potplant. Dan Vasc has no copyright placed on his releases. To see him performing is 50% of the experience.
Dont care very much for the singer not clear while you’re reacting, would rather see them than you really. We need to see what you’re looking at. Just saying.
On his social media, when Dan was working on this song, he told us the choir is all him - 60 tracks layered. The man is dedicated to his craft!
He is trained. Here he is singing in Italian, German, Portuguese and English.
Thank you. I thought it sounded latin but I swore I heard German in there. I thought I was crazy.
@@alleyoop2681 well, all the languages used in the video stem from latin, plus chorus is in latin, so yeah...
German isn't a Latin based language.@@calebleach7988

that is so cool! thanks for letting me know!
He never disrespects religious songs even as he metals them.
Amazing Grace became soul shattering Grace.
He is simply magnificent!!! Wow!!! Thank you for bringing this Britt!! 👏👏👏👏👏

I Agree!!! ❤
The order is Italian, German, Portuguese and English. The backup singers are all Dan .
And he produces everything him self
Great reaction. 🤩 You understand what he is able to and that it needed training.
You ought to treat yourself to his version of 'Come all ye faithful ' which he sings in latin.
Ms Britt, you check him out singing Nessun Dorma.

Check out his information about copyright. You don't have to alter.
A lot of languages have a latin base. “Gloria in excelies” is latin
I came across this reaction again and think you would enjoy Dan’s one man choir singing Handel’s Hallelujah😊

He makes it make sence the way he makes it into metal he know exactly how to use and how much not to use he k ow music
The third verse is all him. There is no choir. He laid 60 tracks for this verse

The song was composed in the mid-1800s, but Dan plays it, with arrangements and instruments, as if it were from the 1700s

To move your chin when using vibrato is seen as bad singing hygiene. The vibrato doesn't come from that movement.
I think Brazilian people speak Portuguese. Xxxxxxxxxx
