I had a friend send a link to this song last Christmas and I was prepared to dislike any new version of my favorite Christmas Carol. I was wrong this is the best version of this song that I have ever heard!
I've been wanting to do that very thing. Send my family (whom I haven't had contact with in years) my favorite metal versions of Christmas songs. Just one every year. Thanks for letting me see how it might be received. God bless.
Not only is Dan incredibly talented to do all those parts, but the sheer joy of listening to it that was on your face made all his effort worthwhile. Can't believe he isn't a mega star yet.
I absolutely love watching reactions to everything Dan Vasc does! People can't help but smile when they watch and listen to him and I think we all know the world needs more smiles! 😃
This song by Dan is incredible, even more so that he did the verses in Italian, German, Português, and English, and that choir was all him - 60 different tracks. Check out Adeste Fideles for another powerful Christmas song that won't drive anyone nuts when it's listened to year-round. Excellent reaction!
it does indeed sound like a triumphal march when Dan cries out this song that carries the good news. He represents the leader of the celestial beings, the spiritual warrior in a contemporary form, and he has reimagined the angel wings with radiant spotlights on both sides. Instead of being swept away by the message he delivers, he shows the strength and splendor of the message. In his rendition he personifies the power and glory of Archangel Michael. This is a modern reinterpretation of an issue that has occupied people for a very long time.
@@terryeallen-stoda2152 Terryeallen, you and I have commented on the same Dan songs multiple times. I'm glad you're here too. Dan knows exactly how to present any song that he covers. He is the best heavy metal singer of all time. Now, a Swedish reactor has heard his "Amazing Grace". Please, can you help me and go there to put some words in his chat? It is here. ruclips.net/video/g5X1UnZk4lQ/видео.htmlsi=tWyMnjzbV_fyofKB
Thanks so much for reacting to this beautiful rendition of Dan singing this Christmas Carol. He sings it in four languages and all the harmonies in the background. A very talented artist and a joy to behold. I would love you to to hear what you think of him singing Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” with 24 tracks, on of his most ambitious projects. 🙋🏼♀️ 🎶🎤🎶 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
MRLBOYD, He sang this in Italian, German, Portuguese, and English; isn't it Fantastic?!! I love it!. Any time anyone sings songs of praise with such enthusiasm makes my heart so happy! Such a wonderful talent he has!
I love the way Dan is all soft and gentle, giving you a false sense of security,, them just blows your socks and pants off, in a second, its great fun to watch people's reactions
Dan does sing his own back up. His vocal range is unbelievable. Try “One Man Chorus..Handel’s Hallelujah “. He sings all 4 parts in 24 voices! 24 little Dan faces on the screen. It is an older song, before he got his new studio set up. And then there is Nessun Dorma. I think it is much better than Pavarotti.
I agree completely. I love his cover of Nessun Dorma. One of the most difficult opera songs to sing for the male tenor voice and Dan makes it look effortless ❤
@@heatherG1974 I watched a version of Nessun Dorma by Pavarotti. His face looked like a plastic mask. No emotion. At the end he was panting like a dog. I have watched Dan sing it so many times that I tear up on the first note. Lol
He was singing in 4 or 5 languages! English, Portuguese, German, and I’m not sure about the rest, but his voice is so amazing that there’s not even enough kind words to describe it!
Loved seeing that smile on your face as you simply enjoyed it. I get that grin each time I hear it and seeing I'm not the only one who does so makes it all the better.
I agree - it sounds like a warchant made by an army of angel warriors, and Dan stands like the angel-warleader shining in all God's power and glory. As for Christmas, he does include a few churchbells for the last verse.
I really like your channel and I really like that you enjoy Dan Vasc! I agree that he does remind me of Ronnie James Dio! Dan can be so theatrical which adds so much to his gorgeous vocals. Thank you for reaction, really enjoyed it! Since he has an international fan base he sang the verses in Italian, then German, then Portuguese and finally English.
Well done! 😀 I see that others have already mentioned this, but I went and copied the Dan-pinned comment under his video, which says, "The languages I'm singing in are Italian, German, Portuguese and English. I chose these because they are some of the languages most spoken by you. So chances are you'll understand something! Merry Christmas!" You should also listen to "Adeste Fidelis," (his Christmas 2022 offering), and "Handel's Hallelujah [Chorus]," from "The Messiah" (that one is from July 2016). I believe others have mentioned those, as well. There's another video that I had been skipping over until yesterday. It's not a Christmas song or an Easter Song, but it does give a BIG hint about how he has chosen most of his regular, day-to-day, metal presentations. You should, for sure, check out his "10 EPIC Power Metal Songs in 6 MINUTES" video. I do believe it will make you smile, and perhaps even change the way a few of the old standard HYMNS are sung (kind of like his version of "Amazing Grace," but not quite). 🥰🤩
You are right, I don't want to hear anybody else sing anything he's sung!!! Amazing Grace, Angels We Have Heard, Phantom of the Opera songs, Gethsemane, you'll be in my heart, POP, rock, opera etc. his voice is gorgeous. AND, he's one good looking guy. He knows how to perform and it comes from his heart and soul.
Yes. . An advancing Army of heaven. Legions of angels proclaiming the Maker of the Universe hsd taken on human form, to live among us, and liberate us. I think this is the true underlying meanining of this song. I love Dans ability to tap into the emotion of the songs meaning. 5 languages (Italian, Portuguese, germsn, Latin chorus and English triumphant ending is astounding. Yes. Best rendition. Remake all the other toned down, tame renderings of sn epic moment in history! 😂
This is one of the best versions of this hymn. It seems to me that Christmas is a joyful occasion and Dans version makes me feel that he’s singing to the Angels and make it a joyous moment!❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely love this ❤️🔥 definitely, only want to hear this song this way from now on, Absolutely ❤️🔥 it's totally a EPIC Christmas song now, dude ❤️🔥
A great reaction! Yeah, the power behind Dan's vocals brings a new life and meaning to this song and anything else he sings. You should check out The Star Spangled Banner if you want to hear an anthem and war song. He puts life into that song that you can't even imagine possible.
I know he had done adeste fideles, and Handel's Hallujah chorus, and you could throw Amazing Grace in there too, and I would imagine there are others. However, that having been said, this Brazilian guy singing the Star Spangled Banner is the only way that song should ever be sung.
Hi MRLBOYD =) I was wondering if you could add a link to the artists original video in your description. It would be a nice touch that we can jump straight to after watching your reaction (which by the way was great to watch! Great reaction! Yeah, Dan's renditions have spoiled me! I much prefer his covers of songs over the originals.....something about his voice quality, I don't know what the musical term for what that quality is....❤❤❤❤
This I feel is how the birth of Christ should be announced. Hundreds of thousands of shepherds, people would have heard the announcement, and went to pay homage to the "baby Jesus". Just so amazing🎶🎧💪🙏🎶👌🙌👏🌹🌹🌹
It's enough for me that he could sing it in four different languages. And he's beautiful. You're right it doesn't sound like a Christmas song. It sounds more like a military march.

Sung this way, this song is NOT a sweet, pretty carol. It's a strong, fierce testament to God's triumph. I can just visualize a fierce choir of angels roaring this out.

Actually, there are FIVE languages in this rendition(Italian, German, Portugese, and English)and the chorus is in the original Latin! Many hymns were originally written in Latin because they were done in the Catholic churches. I'm telling my age, but, I learned this song in Latin class in high school. I took Latin to help me with medical names in nursing school.
That’s him singing every harmony. He is freaking incredible. His range, his talent is insane. Hail Dan.
