I had a friend send a link to this song last Christmas and I was prepared to dislike any new version of my favorite Christmas Carol. I was wrong this is the best version of this song that I have ever heard!

it does indeed sound like a triumphal march when Dan cries out this song that carries the good news. He represents the leader of the celestial beings, the spiritual warrior in a contemporary form, and he has reimagined the angel wings with radiant spotlights on both sides. Instead of being swept away by the message he delivers, he shows the strength and splendor of the message. In his rendition he personifies the power and glory of Archangel Michael. This is a modern reinterpretation of an issue that has occupied people for a very long time.

This song by Dan is incredible, even more so that he did the verses in Italian, German, Português, and English, and that choir was all him - 60 different tracks. Dan does sing his own back up. His vocal range is unbelievable. Try “One Man Chorus..Handel’s Hallelujah “. He sings all 4 parts in 24 voices! 24 little Dan faces on the screen. It is an older song, before he got his new studio set up. And then there is Nessun Dorma. I think it is much better than Pavarotti.

@@heatherG1974 I watched a version of Nessun Dorma by Pavarotti. His face looked like a plastic mask. No emotion. At the end he was panting like a dog. I have watched Dan sing it so many times that I tear up on the first note. Lol

I really like your channel and I really like that you enjoy Dan Vasc! I agree that he does remind me of Ronnie James Dio! Dan can be so theatrical which adds so much to his gorgeous vocals. Yes. . An advancing Army of heaven. Legions of angels proclaiming the Maker of the Universe hsd taken on human form, to live among us, and liberate us. I think this is the true underlying meanining of this song. I love Dans ability to tap into the emotion of the songs meaning. 5 languages (Italian, Portuguese, germsn, Latin chorus and English triumphant ending is astounding. Yes. Best rendition. Remake all the other toned down, tame renderings of sn epic moment in history! 😂

I see that others have already mentioned this, but I went and copied the Dan-pinned comment under his video, which says, "The languages I'm singing in are Italian, German, Portuguese and English. I chose these because they are some of the languages most spoken by you. So chances are you'll understand something! Merry Christmas!"
You should also listen to "Adeste Fidelis," (his Christmas 2022 offering), and "Handel's Hallelujah [Chorus]," from "The Messiah" (that one is from July 2016). I believe others have mentioned those, as well.
There's another video that I had been skipping over until yesterday. It's not a Christmas song or an Easter Song, but it does give a BIG hint about how he has chosen most of his regular, day-to-day, metal presentations. You should, for sure, check out his "10 EPIC Power Metal Songs in 6 MINUTES" video. I do believe it will make you smile, and perhaps even change the way a few of the old standard HYMNS are sung (kind of like his version of "Amazing Grace," but not quite). 🥰🤩

I know he had done adeste fideles, and Handel's Hallujah chorus, and you could throw Amazing Grace in there too, and I would imagine there are others. However, that having been said, this Brazilian guy singing the Star Spangled Banner is the only way that song should ever be sung.

Actually, there are FIVE languages in this rendition(Italian, German, Portugese, and English)and the
chorus is in the original Latin! Many hymns were originally written in Latin because they were done in the Catholic churches.
I'm telling my age, but, I learned this song in Latin class in high school. I took Latin to help me with medical names in nursing school.
