Map 1 is basically octane learned. The bluetooth version of the jb4 allows you to see everything on your phone. For more noticeable gains try out map 2 or map 3.

I’d have to disagree, map 1 is definitely more aggressive than octane learning.
Those plugs and 93+ octane gas are more important than you may think, my guy. That's all I needed to get my Lap 3 stage 1.5 tuned ECU to get me up to 320 whp, and it is surprising when you first feel that difference in power. Have fun!

hey just got an elantra n, thinking about putting a knn cold air intake on it, I see you have the afe one i think. Any reason you picked thhat over knn?
I went with that because I wanted a box around the filter, and I also wanted the upgraded turbo inlet.

Better get Royal Purple Racing Oil
HKS M45XL plugs are absolutely necessary. Leave them at stock gap that they come with. It's a huge difference. Also you NEED that Bluetooth adapter. When octane learned...only use Map 0. Only use the JB4 when you're not octane learned...it will throw the ECU off and pull boost tables and mess with IGN and fueling. I've datalogged the shit out of my Kona N Octane learned and non octane learned and the logs are perfect when not octane learned. I hit 21.5 PSI max with 93 and HKS plugs octane learned Map 0. I only get 2 PSI extra with Map 2 and it pulls ECU boost down to 16 17 PSI instead of the 21.5 octane learned. Non octane learned I get 16-17 PSI ECU boost. Map2 i get 22-23 PSI actual JB4 Boost with clean AFRs, IGN timing and fuel trims.

Thank you, I feel like it is more of a dealer discretion. But to my understanding piggyback tunes are undetectable.
If you keep it quiet very unlikely. Make sure you remove any mods before going for a warranty claim.
If by any chance the Hyundai Corp decides to dig deeper into the ECU logs and they see overboost flags. Then you are toast.
As always if you aren't willing to pay out of pocket for a blown engine. Don't mod it until the warranty expires.
I’m running a JB4 and plugs with mid-pipe of my 24 EN DCT. It’s definitely a lot quicker than stock in map 1, however I am finding inconsistency with map 2 up here with shell 93 which is disappointing. When map 2 runs properly, the car rocks… I saw 22-23 psi on the app.
That’s awesome, I’m surprised shell was inconsistent with there gas.

You have to get the one Hyundai, Kia, genesis 2.0t engine. I’m not to sure about the auto detection. I’m still trying to figure it all out. Stay tuned for the future videos I’ll try to go more into depth.

My car on map2 I think 93 octane made 310whp 315 tq I had spark plugs , intake. Now when did. Map6 custom. I also. Did. Boost by gear was faster I’m say it made about 340,360 whp
