@@jeanettematlock3682 We all know they have curly hair that is mostly loose. Most white people don't have 4C curly hair, which is way tighter and together that you literally don't see in most art tutorials except as just puffs of hair in cartoons. This video is helpful to get the fro, twists look.
why “black people”? I am Mexican/Latino and have very coily/kinky curls (about 3c), so goes to show that black people don’t just have coily/kinky hair. Sometimes people like you just make the world dumber, so get your facts straight before commenting, pendejo
I love your philosophy on encouraging and nurturing children to develop their talents. Growing up, my family struggled financially, but I was blessed with an uncle who saw a glimmer of drawing talent in me. He bought me my first "artist kit," with graphite and charcoal pencils, a kneaded eraser and little instruction book. Let me say that having someone there to develop that latent talent kept me out of heaps of trouble. Keep up the great work, Marie.

hahaha I think I'm similar! I stopped drawing in 2010 and am starting again now but the hair is SO HARD! I keep just doing the outline in all of my drawings and then moving on the next drawing 😂 that's how I ended up on this video! I'm just using pencil right now but hopefully I can still get some tips from this video :)
+Chennae yes you can try this technique out with pencil also. I hear you, but I'm glad you are drawing again! I find the outline the hardest, it's everything after the outline that I enjoy doing

Until recently l ran an Art school for children. After it closed a lot of my after school children still visit me an we do Art together. There's nothing like working on delicate areas and "bam" you've run out of both your fine point and kneaded erasers. Happens just when you notice your drawing is starting to pop. Makes feel me like 😂 or 😤

Im learning how to draw and doing portrats of my son is so hard because his hair is thin you can see through all of it its the weirdest thing to draw so I start them all and stop at the hair 😂 I also have been using cray-pas to do flowers so I'm insired to try with the crayons. I am so new to shading and making things realistic but my brian won't draw cartoony
I used to be exactly the same, I struggled with hair so much that I delayed becoming an artist, drawing hair was very challenging for me. I kept at it and have become confident with drawing hair now.
