- They Added A Classic SPECIAL Mission Back To BTD6 / Bloons TD 6! Fast upgrades was originally a BTD5 special mission and it's finally back! Watch to see my multiple no monkey knowledge, no lives lost solutions along with the story mode/tale quest.

Rapid Upgrades was hilariously easy with top path glue. NNL first time.
Why you hate glavelord when it carried me though chimps many many times. And for 30k it's pretty strong for what it is after all it's no antibloon but every tower doesn't need to be busted it's just your drugged on banana farms
Bouncy fences would actually be so cool for map editor tho

You should do $1215 chimps with Corvus and a dart monkey. I don’t know how hard it is but I’ve seen it done so it would be cool if you could do it too potentially on a different map than logs.
In fact, I'm curious if Corvus soloing CHIMPS is possible on logs....

@@Emilia42069funny thing is that probably won't affect me, because I like using corvus as an early game hero so I can actually have some buffer time to place down farms or smth
They really should include the fast upgrades and bouncy fences as mechanics for challenge and map editors respectively
and for fast upgrades, include a slider for how frequently the upgrades happen - every round, every 5 rounds, or even every 10 or 20 rounds. I can see that being used to make some fun deflation challenges - not only does your defense have to survive rounds 55 through 80 before you get one set of upgrades, but it also has to survive 80 through 105 for the second set so you can reach 120.

I remember I was stupid and completely forgot that buying multiple towers was a thing, so I tried beating it with a single tower, and my furthest attempts were with wizard lord phoenix and spirit of the forest, both making it to the last round and dying to either ddts or the bad
After some trys, Iactually managed to do it with Wiizardlord, it was tricky tho. I wonder if any other tower can solo it, but from my tests, I don't think so, maybe you can get MAD to not die to ceramics.
First win I did wizard lord then into archmage at round 3
WLP + Cripple Moab worked for me

They’ve been getting better and better with these quests. A good teaching tool for the non hero quests, hopefully they expand on this more.
It would be cool if there was an achievement for beating the special mission in 10 different ways... not sure how that'd work tho haha
0:09 can confirm it was pretty tough….. I went into it completely blind and it was difficult although I managed to beat it on my first try. Almost gave up several times tho.. the “fast upgrades” one was a walk in the park compared to intense bloon rounds… I wouldn’t call that one hard.
it would be awesome if there was a boss week or just another quest that had the fast upgrades mechanic but against a boss bloon, obv it would be very hard to balance and they would def need to both change rounds and make each tier of the boss spawn on a much lower round but if balanced well that could be very fun
Or like a free upgrade before each tier comes in, only 5 free ones but it would still get crazy powerful
I was able to beat Fast Upgrades with a 0-5-2 Wizard, a 2-0-5 Sniper, A 2-2-0 Village, and a 4-02 heli for bad clean up. This does require you to mash the upgrade buttons right after you place the wizard and sniper to save the free upgrade.
i wonder if Doctor Monkey will be released as a hero
I found a nnl no monkey knowledge for the fast upgrades. 200 dart top right r1, then on rock 001 dart r2. then do whatever. never miss targeting is pretty cracked round 4
I managed to get a Giganotosaurus with a camo village in the fast upgrades challenge. Beast Handler is funny because you need to get 4 tier 4s before it'll let you upgrade to tier 5, and the quest respects this
The bouncy fences remind me of the bouncy black walls from the original Bloons games before they were a tower defense.
first experimental challenge i used a 2-0-0 glue on round 1. by round 3 it was a 4-0-0 for leads. then used 0-0-5 boomerang with a 0-2-0 village for DDTs. then 0-5-0 spike factory for BAD
I got 2-0-0 glue, 0-1-0 village and 0-2-0 dartling gunner to end with a Bloon Solver, MIB, and MAD
Start with 010 wizard until you can buy Moab elim
Day 1 of asking ISAB to do a boss challenge on Erosion (optionally with no boat/ice/sub)

easy way to do the fast challange: use the free dart monkey and a magic monkey up top for start, and a middle path crossed with bottom path boomerang and near the end, get spike storms
solo druid start does work if you place him above where you placed boomerang on your second attempt, i used bloon crush to handel the DDTs but i got stuck on the MOAB cus i couldnt afford the popping power
For fast upgrades the first Strat works, first u get Druid to 010 then it automatically goes to 020 then for the leads when it’s a 030 make it a 130, by the end of the ceramic round place a super monke get it to a 002 on that round then get it to a 204 in the end and dark shift towards the end when the bad almost exots
the mission you didnt do in this episode actually took me a while
i did dark knight and then sold for a first strike on the last round
the bouncy fences remind me of the black rubber from classic bloons and bloons pop, i wish that feature was used more, it really only makes sense as a map mechanic maybe, but its pretty unfortunate that feature hasn't been used in the TD series
In the bouncy fences mission, the laser cannon is a trap. If you buy even one of them you pretty much lose. I think it may technically be possible with laser cannon + rocket storm but it's very difficult and if you use your ability at the wrong time you have to start over, it's pretty harsh since you have to start from the beginning, dialogue and all.
I really liked the upgrade challenge. Would be nice if we could have an even more challenging mode though, the rounds were quite easy
Going for a 3-1-0 dart at the start of the track on round 1 of the park path challenge is a super easy cheese. And the build a spactory and get 2-5-0. Can start with a 2-0-0 dart at the start of the track to NLL with no monkey knowledge. Upgrade to 2-1-0 at the start of round2 and add a 2nd dart at the back during round 2. From then on its cake.
I did Fast Upgrades with Crossbow Master + Bloon Solver + MAD, not sure if it was NLL, but with full MK.
For the upgrade challenge, something i found to be an interesting challenge is to try and recreate the btd5 temple-stacking glitch (have 2 avatars next to each other turn into temples at the end of round 6) although the glitch doesnt work, it is still a nice puzzle to get both the money and the power to beat the rounds
Another nll no monkey knowledge strat for those who want to flex on that challenge
Start with 0-0-0 wizard in the same place as isabs, then upgrade it to 0-1-0 before the end of round 1
Let wall of fire deal with round 2
On round 3 buy and ace and upgrade it to 0-0-1 then upgrade your wizard bottom path after (0-3-2)
Buy the 0-0-3 ace when you can to help get big plane faster
Free win after that, you can buy a support if you want like super brittle on round 4 and beyond
fast upgrades took a bit to figure out but ultimately is fast enough it wasnt that bad. i ended up going for a M.A.D. and it worked quite well
omg the BTD5 quests were so much fun, i already forgot
I beat Fast Upgrades with a single 0-5-2 wizard. Idk how, but i thought he would work and finisher the challenge first try. I just spammed the abilitie as much as i could
I did the fast upgardes first try, remove the wall and put 201 dart monkey there and then I guess anything else works. Personally I added 100 sniper later and it was enough
I actually beat the Upgrades mission with Boomerang Mortar aswell.
But it was 052 Permacharge
I got laser cannon for that bouncy dart challenge and goddamn was it hard. I wish I had gone for double hydra rocket pods
I am realizing now that I overcomplicated the auto upgrade quest. Started wizard/glue gunner, then eventually added a village to boost those two. Then I had the money to get a dartling gunner mid round and upgrade top path so I could 5th tier it for the last round.
I didnt realize I only needed to hit 100K and just kept buying farms confused on how I would possibly get to round 100 with a setup this weak. Eventually, I ran out of farm space and reached 100K in the 60s and beat it.
I did do it with a druid start and then got a mad, but i placed it closer to the exit

You can beat the fast upgrades mission with just a single Wizard Lord Phoenix
my solution for fast upgrades: step 1. click the cave in the bottom right and buy the ability to destroy one of the blocks. step 2. place a 000 wizard in the spot the cave destroyed. step 3 make the 010 wizard a 011 *it was a 010 because of the gimmick*. step 3. upgrade your 011 wizard to a 012. step 4. wait a couple rounds until you get a 032 wizard *if you could by wall of fire to get the dragons breath quicker*. step 5. place a 000 spike factory in the bottom left of the screen. step 6. upgrade your spike factory to a 204. step 7. set the spike factory’s targeting priority to smart. step 7. once you get perma-spike get a 203 ninja in the big open spot to the left of the entrance. step 8. win
I found a different solution, go wizard with fire wall and guided magic, and place it in the middle. Then I went for a heli (apache prime) and village, and a mortar. Worked out.
You can do it with top path glue gunner and PMFC (the dart monkeys need to be 0-0-2 to pop the DDTs
For the fast upgrades, I went for 210 glue and then a spike factory going for super mines no lives lost.
you can do the fast upgrades quest with top path dart with camo start, MAD for the bad and maim for support.
Looking forward to the fences being in map editor
I wish the insta upgrades were more challening, you get enough money to ramp to a flying fortress by round 5
the fast upgrades challenge is easily cheesed by just going sniper and getting 230 for all the bloons and then just whatever you want for the moabs. very easy challenge, i did it with no lives lost on my second attempt after i figured out the gimmick
even easier start is a 3-1-0 dart monkey at the start of the map on round 1

You can nll with just druid and super mines just need to place druid where you put the glaive lord

I alwayd felt like not having the 3rd path dartling gun be something that bounces off walls was a missed opportunity
For fast upgrades, my first thought was a 5-0-2 dart, then into a flying fortress. Really easy win
I fid the fast upgrades with 4 beast heandlers(giganotosaurus) and a camo village
Love this challenge. After a few tries my nll solution was wlp + mad. Ez win
And you said the glaive lord was d tier. Hah, looks like WE get the last laugh
Another one for the fast upgrades is to get a 0 1 0 druid then get hard thorns then let it get druid of jungle then get a dartling gunner middle path until its mad then u can pop the bad and the other stuff

Dartling upgrades need a serious rework, because the tier 1 and 2s are very underwhelming as both a full stop upgrade and as crosspaths (especially tier 1s)
bottom path should totally be bouncing darts, although 4-0-0 will need some sort of rework to compensate, but I can easily see 5-0-0 be a reflected laserbeam
1-0-0 should be Laser Shock, 2-0-0 should be a combo of Powerful Darts' Projectile Speed + Focused Firing's Accuracy + Faster Swivel, yknow, for lasers being fast and accurate,
0-1-0 should add bonus Camo damage,
0-0-1 should be a +1 Pierce upgrade. . . probably called Powerful Darts, and 0-0-2 becomes Bouncing Darts with the last +1 Pierce from old Powerful Darts
I think this would reshape the crosspathing for ALL Dartlings in a very heavy way, also making it reasonable to always max crosspath (ISAB makes a good point whenever he leaves it at 1-4-0 and 1-5-0)

I did the fast upgrades with bloons solver, moab elim and tsar bomba
I remember top path glue being a good solution in the BTD5 version and it worked well here, I got at least a few different successes with other towers after that
ISB Challenge idea:
Use only towers you put in S tier from the tierlist video you made
Play it in chimps and use only that crosspath and you must get to the finnal upgrade that is in S tier if it is something like super mines , if that is to difficult you can just stop anywhere in the crosspath as long as it is the same crosspath as the one in S tier.
this was actually the funnest mission.
i used 520 dart, 250 mortar and 250 spikes.

I did druid start and spactory start into a super mines and spirit of the forest
5-0-2 boomer + dark champion and alch buff works
you CAN actually do druid solo to beat round 3, but you just need to buy hard thorns immediately
My no lives lost solution was pretty easy actually. Just super mines and middle path mortar monkey

i did a druid middle and a heli top path for the finishing
Yeah, wizards are so good for autoupgrades. WLP just solos most of the game, and archmage offers a nice chunk of bad and DDT DPS. And both ignore the walls with guided magic

my strategy is a 0-0-0 wizard monkey cause he can solo round 1-5 and you can place every tower you want
I think a somewhat interesting challenge would be trying to beat votex on blons I think it’s possible because of the nockback

For the first experiment i got a dartling gunner and got a mad from it and then i got a super mines from buying apiked mines from found 5 and a pmfc from getting a smfc at 4

My quest glitched on the second part and it spawned the dart kings I used the round before, I beat one round, and it was over :/ kinda sad I didn’t get to experience the rest of it.
