Isab it is actually possible to access past versions of btd6, however the earliest possible versions obtainable is 7.1, when btd6 got added to steam. Any earlier would have to be modded
Maybe post round 140, we could get ultra ceramics. They would have 4 times the health of a normal super ceramic, and moabs would only drop one of them, but they could take up to 4 pierce of an attack. that way we could get waves that were less laggy, without punishing pierce like super ceramics do.
People may think that Red Hot Spikes increases the damage because the spike factory and tack shooter both have hot projectiles upgrades (red hot spikes and hot shots respectivly), and both are on the top path of the tower's upgrades. The Hot Shots upgrade increases the tack shooter's damage by 1, doubling it, and since it's only about a $600-700 upgrade and you get it fairly late game, that one is noticable, but with the spike factory if the damage did go up the only way to tell would be that a spike pile would have more spikes left when it popped a bloon, you can't see the damage increase as easily, especially if your spikes are stacked or multuple bloons hit at the same time
Carpet's storm attack should definitely scale with attack speed, it's an integral part of the tower, and makes it scale much better with buffs, maybe decrease the base rate to compensate.
It already scales with buffs really well. All spike factories love pierce buffs, because they can reapply pierce to the same bloon, and are guaranteed to use all of their pierce. The passive carpet also scales with ability cooldown buffs, so it's not like it has nothing buffing it's speed.
Honestly I would agree with the logic it is op. Spikes already have the huge benefit that there is zero wasted pierce. Not only that but they are one of the only towers that are stronger against BADs than other bloons. That the tower got this far without other towers countering not BADs says a lot about how strong it is.
Also, you could technically play old versions of BTD6, but only as far back as challenge editor was made. It should play challenges exactly as the version they were made on, mods included. You'd just have to know the challenge codes for each version. I wouldn't be suprised if someone was archiving each version update this way, but I don't know for sure.
If you want something similar to 163, then the best you get is 263, which is basically DDTs replacing all leads and MOABs replacing all ceramics that round 63 would have. Other than that, you'd have to hit rounds 10,000 or higher... which are also preset, but no one has ever reached those in a normal game before. Only on challenge maps and such where the legend's cooldown is reduced as low as possible.
hey ISAB if your looking for a challenge here one! only use towers that can put stuff on the path like the spirit of the Forest, spike Factory, ninja monkey, alchemist, and the engineer.
probably wouldnt be too hard, like just do spirit + carpet (might not even be necessary to get the t5, spike storm could suffice depending on the map) and you can beat pretty much everything
I don't know if there's anything you can do about it, but that white flash when you activate MIB while the game is sped up is pretty bad for photosensitivity

Sadly, wouldn’t even get past the round when half of them are being boosted. The game would completely crash from all the projectiles and bloons. We actually don’t know what round is possible because there is no computer strong enough to process all that data. At least, no computer strong enough that the public can use or even afford to power on for an entire game. That, and the rounds past 120 are randomized so some are easier, some are harder.
@@davidpotts7116this is just blatant misinformation. 120 to 140 aren't randomized, and the scaling is way too aggressive for computer strength to become the limiting factor unless a massive glitch is in the game like the infinite legend of the night thing. The max round varies depending on the update but it's somewhere in the 4-6 hundred round range. Also yes you can get everything buffed in time

Now imagine 500x the projectiles shooting at once. He’s done similar challenges that have actually crashed his game before. Also keep in mind we’re talking about one of each tower in the game, not multiple of the same tower with little lag production like DoW or Super Monkey.

I am actually all for the idea of more preset rounds during freeplay. Why stop the fun at 263? Have more predefs for the 100s and 100s + 63. With increasingly high single target DPS demands and ludicrous density demands, respectively. Sadly, as ISAB noted, most devices and computers would struggle. And yes, I know about round 10000 and the few rounds after that. But it seems pretty clear this isn't intended to be part of normal play; probably like a hack for tests or something. Also, I wouldn't mind superdense ceramics and fort-ceramics being in the "pool" for longer, eventually replaced with superdense MOABs and eventually BFBs. Just to keep pierce concerns to be a consistent threat.
Yes I am pretty sure the over 100% attack speed effecting spike storm would have made a huge difference. I would like to see this tested but with bottom path glue gunner or some cc. Most late games are held back by bads since they are cc immune. So I think it would be fair game to just cc every non bad to death.

older btd6 versions wouldn't be too hard to mod, it's basically mostly balance changes that are documented with every update so not too hard to lookup. (except for soulbind) and newer towers/heroes would have to be removed and a lot of abilities weren't there yet. * bit offtopic but I believe artillery battery on the mortar wasn't that the last tower to get an ability?

It's bearable in normal games, but with your speedhack mod it becomes painful. Is there a mod that disables or reduces the flash? Would you be willing to use such a mod for future vids if it exists? Anyway sorry for the sour note, I still love this vid and all your others as well
Btd6 lategame could probs benefit from new blimp types with different resistance combos. Problem is, they would only really be meaningful with a massive MIB rework/nerf. Definitely controversial but I think MIB should only affect bloons within the village's area, this could be paired with an AoE buff.
