Common TD logic is that your earliest towers gets the most shots at the enemy. You never want your highest level defences in the back, as you won't have time to do an emergency response.
Generally you want something with slow and/or splash in the front, your main damage in the places where they get most enemy path coverage, and something slow firing with heavy dmg in the back for the few stragglers that make it through your main kill area.
Yes weaker / splash damage with low damage in the back for clean up on the weaker enemies and the front for clean up and the big damage dealers in the middle / back to kill strong enemies
in my experience with games like this where you have a set enemy path and set tower emplacements, generally it's better to put more towers early on before upgrading the ones you have, as that increases the amount of the path that's covered by your towers

There was a priorities patch and a patch regarding laser towers not attacking bosses today so I’d assume it fixed them. They also nerfed the laser towers. It’s a shame those were POG Didn’t play it after updates

Lasers deal more damage the more time they hit an enemy, so combo that with a Tesla to keep them in laser target for more time
But the laser didn’t hit the swarm

Using the hammer costs stars. It really is better as an absolute emergency thing than to take out 1 troop slipping through. Much better off getting down a sniper to help out your towers for the same cost.

The swarm of bees, despite being comprised of "air units" is a boss and counts as a ground unit. Gotta take the lasers off air priority and they'll target the swarm more consistently.
Yeah, keep playing this one to completion. Its a great watch. I liked you trying something new with your last video where you did multiplayer, but it doesn't watch as well as these click games, new games, tower defense, rogue lights, interesting gems you seem to find.

The lasers weren't doing anything because they were set to shoot flying targets. They did shoot the individual bees after all. The swarm seems to count as a ground unit; that's why the miniguns were effective against it. You could've easily done it the first time round by setting the lasers to target the highest HP.

But the anti air rockets were able to attack the swarm.
Priority air targets doesn't mean that it can't hit ground targets though

In the video where the lasers were introduced, i vividly remember RCE setting the lasers to air, but still hitting the ground targets if there were no air targets.
Use a few troops when the final swarm appears. The bees will stop for a few seconds to attack your troops. Depending on the attack and type of soldier, you can move them out of the way so they don't get hurt.

use the shieldman, it distracts the bees! the lasers should work but bugged confirmed by the dev. how i beat it was 2 miniguns at the end lots of rockets for anti air 2 lasers and spam shieldmen to distract the bees so rockets can take down swarm
I felt that sting. Ive also made the mistake of smacking a bee down. Bad idea. Guess we had to learn the hard way.
I beat it with all lasers in the back 6 spots and cannons on the starting 4 spots.
Upgrade the last 4 as priority because they will be doing most the dmg.
The lasers wont shoot swarm 1 or 2 unless priority is set to 1, not air defense.
You can slow down the last swarm with soldiers, alot of soldiers.
The swarm will transforms in to a hammer to attack soldiers, and while it does this, it stops and performs its attacks halting the forward progression.
If you have no soldiers you cannot deal with the speed the last swarms got to base as it does not slow down to transform and attack..
A few things I noticed is that during the swarm section. For whatever reason if you had your lasers targeting air only they didn't do much. But if they were left on the default it seemed to target the swarm?
I'm not certain though but something that I do think is that you should use a combination of higher leveled teslas and make sure that you have their range covering the entire length. After that I'd say you'd probably want the anti-air and gatlings for damage.
I would like to see a follow up on beating this boss since the devs fixed it. 👍👷♂️
After a lot of different setups, I used 2 laser towers at the front (level 2 for the boss), 4 mini guns in the middle slots (first 2 level 3 for the boss and the other upgraded during the boss fight) and 4 missile turrets in the last 4 slots (all level 1 for the start of the boss fight and upgraded as I sold other towers). Used loads of shield army men to slow down the swarm towards the end and won by a very very small margin... Took me a few hours to do 😂
Totally bought the game and beat it in one sitting once it came out the other day. This game is a blast!

Please check out No Creeps Were Harmed Tower Defense. The levels are all puzzle-like 3d tracks and it has a hilarious Saturday morning cartoon style story.
Rocket turrets and buying bazooka troops after the boss spawned worked for me. First row i had 2 laser turrets. Second row i had 2 rocket turrets. third row i had 2 minigun turrets that i prioritesed upgrading to get me through the early levels. After that you put one laser turret in the last row. After that build two more rocket turrets and upgrade some of them to max and get some bazooka troops when you get to the second part of the boss.

Just managed it, well stressed... on each side, from base, laser, rocket, rocket, mini, laser and upgraded front laser and all rockets - then spammed shield to hold the swarm in the rocket range... I'm actually puffed out lol

If you think about it engineering it's just the root of architecture into order to make you architectural work "work" you need engineering. Architecture is just designed and engineering is making the design work. So, GOOOO ENGINEERING!!!!!

Those Teslas just seem underwhelming. The mortar makes a nice boom, the mini gun goes brrrrrt, the missiles go fwooooosh, and even the tower goes bang bang. The teslas just feel and look underwhelming. Sure they might do the job, but they just don’t feel as good.

It isnt that hard. incase u didnt notice, the cannons did a lot of damage, also why would you upgrade the FRONT ones on the last wave, when you know that they wont be able to attack the hive?

Why do you only have 4 towers available at the end? Shouldn't you be able to pick 5? Lasers should also be able to hit the swarm. You might want to reinstall the game or something. Some weird stuff going on.
To beat the level, do 2 cannons in the first column, 2 rockets in the next 2 columns with 1 in the top row and 1 in the bottom row, and then just spam helicopters until you win. Helicopters are pretty OP.
