Joe Pesci actually killed Michael Imperioli for this scene 👏👏
Lucky he came back to life just in time for the sopranos
@@odessa745he obviously didn't learn his lesson the first time 😂

Robert Dinero got that kid killed when he said " you gonna let him talk to you like that? "
Yep and Jimmy Burke was an asshole like that in real life ...read the story by the guy who used to play the piano and sing in Henry Hills old joint called Roberts Lounge...Burke nearly beat him to death because after already playing Happy Birthday for Burke at least five times the guys band hand packed up and we're leaving so when a drunk Burke said "play me another Happy Birthday" the guy politely said "I can't Jimmy everyone in the band has left" and nearly got beat to death for it...he only survived because Burke went outside to get his gun to kill him and the guy escaped out of the back.
@@ponyboycurtis3795 It's very interesting that this movie makes them look like they were all BFF's. The commentary from Henry Hill in the dvd seems to imply not only wasn't that the case, but he was actually relieved when Tommy died, and that Jimmy actually deserved what he got.
@@ProtomanButCallMeBlues oh yeah for sure..Henry was living in fear from his so called "own people" and was in way over his head and like you correctly said they were far from BFF"s...they were a group of violent physcopathic killers who came together for the purposes of organised crime and making money...that's it period...whoever made Goodfellas has a lit to answer for regarding the glamourisation because even the prison scenes where they showed them with fresh lobster and fine wines etc was ridiculous and 💯 % false and should never have been portrayed in such a fashion.
@@ponyboycurtis3795 My understanding that most of the movie, like "The Irishman" was exaggerated bull done to sell a book. Henry was lowly associate, and in the book the boss of a family was essentially treating him like a surrogate son.
I think like Frank Sheran, Henry wrote WHAT HE WANTED his mob life to be. Michael Franzeze did a good job off taking of the rose tinted glasses. other mobster's actually hated Burke's crew for consistently putting heat on them, and the implosion that followed was unavoidable. A really great movie, the more I watch and learn how they put the scenes together, the more I’m in awe. A lot of thought went into every little detail.
The way Dinero grabbed the hot ass barrel of a recently fired gun was pretty bad ass too lol
He grabbed it at the slide, not the end of the barrel. Which is where the heat is. You can see by watching again he's a full few inches from the end of the barrel.
Slide wouldnt be too hot after a few rounds
Aside from the other gentlemen who explained the location of his grab, it also could have been in separate takes where the gun could either cool off or be prop switched
Also blanks don’t get anywhere near the heat of a real round.
When he says full loads, he means full load blanks. Oftentimes in movies, they'll use 1/2 load or 3/4 load blanks, which would have less on an impact on your ears.
Came here looking for an explanation, thanks 🙂
....... only Alec Baldwin would not know what full loads meant. Obviously its a movie so they aren't using real ammo.

@@pap0618Blanks have very little recoil. Recoil is a result of Newton's third law. The same amount of force used to accelerate a 230gr slug to 900fps also pushes back on the pistol.
