Americans would love this shit. Don't know why Toyota doesn't sell it here.
+TheD1rtyRider America is good at looking after it's own car industry that's why! It's a positive and a negative I suppose. The manufacturing industry in Australia is getting under cut by cheaper manu. plants in Asia...hence factories here are shutting down.
Because we have people afraid of diesel cars here. I like old jeeps but I'm sorry, a lot of Toyotas are far better than any new jeep.
@@beejsmusic yeah because they don't already sell AND build Toyotas here already
Are you guys planning on re-uploading this video with the audio working properly? really couldn't follow what was being said ;(
DaBoss985V2 yeah sorry about the audio there is not much more we can do about it, had major issues on the day which went undetected. Episode 2 onwards is good (audio wise), this will be released in the next week or two.
Nice setup, Torben mention's he has dual 100AH batteries, does he have these connected in series (for 24V) or in parallel for 12V 200AH?
Paul OS Parallel as 12v 200 amp hours. He is thinking about adding one more to the front for some 24v winching.
Does anyone know the year of this Landcruiser? and whats the difference between all the years of the 79 single cab?
Ronnys Tone in this compared to his latest modified,
Love that power board setup. Actually the whole truck is pretty impressive! Nice work Ronny Dahl
Thanks mate, yeah he has got some skill and knowledge about that stuff...
Hey mate, I know you keep your finger on the pulse so you're probably already all over it, I'll ask anyway. Can we have an updated version of this rig? I'd love to see if much has changed
+digeridoom yeah I think this will have to happen at some point...
Ronny you have put on some weight now mate, Well Done !
does the electronics get hot being screwed to the carpeted wall?
building a truck right now, perfekt timing, and high qualitiy like every time, thanks a lot for your cool stuff.
Good Job man! Nice rig and good info.
this cruiser should be easy to pull out to mud Ronny's cruiser is heavy so may be 2 vehicles to pull him out if his stuck
The Silverback 😂😂
Wish Toyota would sell them Landcruisers here in the States!
rudedogii They don't? Wow, I thought they would! Im sure (but on certain) That the Tundra has the same engine, maybe a bit bigger.
Marshall Ahmat Toyota USA sells more city style 4x4s here in the states! Tundra? I'd rather by a real truck like the Ford Superduty!
rudedogii Haha! They sell the land cruiser 200 series over there (the latest instalment - a station wagon) but it's seen more as a city car as you say, until people witness its twin turbo v8 power! But what i'm looking forward to is that pick up trucks might be coming to Australia as of 2016!
Marshall Ahmat
here in canada you cant get these trucks, which pisses me off. you can get the gas powered versions but not the diesels. i dont know why exactly
+rudedogii Agreed... Having actually lived in Australia for several years and owned my own 70-series, I can honestly say we get HOSED in the US in terms of solid trucks offered here. Even the Tacoma is just a weakened version of the Hilux (sort-of) designed for the US buyers. Diesel engines would be a great step forward, but the 70-series trucks would be the ultimate rig for me. As is I'm just building a 95 4Runner into a ROW Hilux with a 1KZ-TE TD and a Solid front axle with OME suspension all around and sitting on 35x10.50 tires. Can't WAIT to get it on the road but I'd trade it all to move back to OZ for good...
I have been just so hooked with these videos that I will be looking in chronological order ALL OF THEM...
Nice work mate... Love them keep them coming....
where are torbens pants??
Just starting to set up my truck, the series will be perfect for ideas! good stuff
Tried to order those mirrors from the dealership. But they could not get them cos they are different spec. But i could order them from Aussie through my cousin. So this part number is only for the mirror or the bracket? Is there a different part number for the bracket? I need the mirrors with the brackets.. Please let me know Ronny..
Thx
I was told that the part number included both Bracket & Mirror, just hope he knew what he was talking about... I would get your cousin to double check it just to be safe...
Just watched Episode 79, obviously Taubs has a different intercooler now, but what made him drop the Thermo Fans?
Wow here we are! First ever episode of modified!
Look at these 2 young fellas
Look at HotSpot in his/her early years
Is nobody going to comment on the fact that at the very start, Torb’s swag teleports to his reach instead of him picking it up. 🤔
Damn beautiful machine. Wish I had one.
got that many spot lights you need you eyes checked.
Hey Guys I'm new to the 4WD world, i would just like to know more about the power board
what would you like to know Michael Luther ?
Ronny Dahl i would just like to know where i can get the products of his power board. pretty interested in giving it a go. but just need to know the right products
I'm not sure where he go his from but I got all mine from Altronics, they are nation wide.
Ronny - how does he get away with his lights? Isn't that illegal under WA law?
he now has covers on them, still technically illegal but the boys is blue seem to not worry unless people draw attention or use them on the highway. We only use them on the tracks, lights on the bull bar are plenty for highway driving.
They're legal here in NSW as long as they're in pairs
Hey Ronny, Like the 4x4 but it looks top heavy. The spare tyres mounted so high up can help.
That is a great statement Torben made regarding the 35W HID and 6x100W Halogen
Makes me wonder why he runs so many 100W Halogens all pointing in the same direction?
I'd have thought for shooting and scrub work, some different angled lights would have be more helpful?
As a Sparky also, the fit off in the back gave me a woody!
It's not hard to do things right, and man that is awesome.
Hey Ronny, can you tell me what tent cot Torben is using in some of your videos. I am trying to find a nice tent cot for jungle use and all I am finding is cheapo ones.
Now it's over 100 episodes already!
Hey Ronny, love ur vids haha... how about an update on some vehicles? Little bear got some new lights... yeah the man scared of the dark rofl, why led spotties up top and not light bars? thanks m8!
Ya balls ain’t dropped yet, love ya mate, I watch all your stuff brotha 🤙💪👍
Hi Torben just wondering where u got the draw system from looking at similar for mine but on other side of canopy
Just wondering what size sunraysia rims you are running on your 35inch tyres?
Torbens rims are 16*8 0 offset
Is torben actually an electrician? Haha every video I see with him I always think he seems like an electrician or elevator technician.
@ George Bolton will see what I can do mate, might be Episode 3 or 4 before its on.
Blimey, these things are absolute beasts! I'd love one but you would need a fat old bank account to run a V8 anything in the UK, lol!
Great vids mate, keep 'em coming and subbed!
Thanks mate, will do...
aah man... that electrical board is like heaven for an engineer like me. absolutely love it.
My one's also a GXL but it's bit different from the Aussie spec. So it came with chrome plated power mirrors. They are pretty narrow do not give a wider view. I checked with the local toyota dealership but they don't have Aussie specs part numbers to order. If you have could you give me the part numbers of those mirrors and brackets ( both sides) please..? So that I could order a pair.
Thx
Will give them a call and see what info I can get for you, if possible could you send me a reminder email? Via the contact page from the website.
The wiring in this is mess clearly a high voltage sparkie not a auto elec
Ronny Dahl Wondering what you guys use for audio when recording? You come through nice and loud most of the time and your guest seems distant. I'm guessing you're using lav or a shotgun on you thats aimed at you, and your guest is either being picked up by that or on board audio from the camera. Might want to think about using a nice shotgun mic and record to an H4N or something like that. Just some suggestions, enjoy your videos keep up the good work.
thanks john plank we had audio problems which we didnt detect until afterwards, I managed to just save it with some heavy editing, we recorded Episode 2 today and the audio will be a world different ;)
You roof rack lights are set up incorrectly they need to be in an arch so you do not waste light overlapping waste, this way you maximise you light usage also keep a couple lights cantered up just around 10-20 degrees so when you are going in a gully you can see what's comming ahead of you, happy hunting and 4wding
+Fluffy Bunny good point! He has since upgraded the lights to round LED's for better output and spread, also he angled the lights just like you were suggesting and it lights up a lot better now.
Ronny, where can I find a pair of side mirrors like yours. (Not this these ones) is it stock or an after market product? Our spec comes with chrome power mirrors. But they are pretty narrow. I appreciate if you could give me an online store where I could buy. Thanks
G'day knightmpw that truck is not mine BTW, those mirrors I have seen at Opposite lock stores and I think Torben (the ute owner) actually got his from there. Let me know how your search goes.
this ute is a weapon and the main reason i want to sell my hilux and get a cruiser
Ronny I'm asking about your 79's side mirrors not these ones..are they also available at opposite lock store? Or could you name an online store please? Thx
Oh ok, so the GXL ones with the regular metal bracket? If so you can get them from Toyota, other that maybe pick some up from a wrecker real check. Havnt seen them online but I havnt really looked either.
Couldn't here him at all.
Thx for the help Ronny I will try to order them from the dealership.
Could you do a episode on the owner of the silver rodeo in some of you earlier videos?
The lights before LED
Beautiful car ! I'll build it in 1:10. How long is the hardtop behind?
About an answer I would be happy. Greetings from Germany.
Its 2400mm long and 1800mm wide
Thank you very much !
That's a fantastic RIG. How about the details of the electrical set up? It would be awesome.
Thanks
Ariel
There will be a web page on this 79 LC soon, will see what info I can get off Torben (the owner)
hi there i have a 76 series with a 2inch lift im about to get tyres just wondering would i lose to much wheel arch with 33s or should i go 32s? Love the modifed series!
33's will fit from stock with a 0 offset rim on the front. With a 2 inch 33's are no problem at all, with the wheel arches if it's a work mate you will need to get some flare extenders. If for a GXL the Tyres should fit fine.
Well done and awesome electrical setup in the back. :)
I love Torbans Yota! Awesome truck!
Im interested in the dual compressor setup and how its been connected to not blow up the smaller one?
skitzyrex there will be a web page on this 79 LC soon will see if I can get more information about that and add it to the webpage.
Cheers mate
An awesome set up, well thought out and constructed.
Great vid as usual as mentioned in another comment I went out and got a 79 and am now at the locker stage so air or electric?
Also next time could you get Toben to speak up a bit or is he shy
He is not shy we had problems with the audio, we will get it sorted for the next one ;)
Awesome ute man 👌
very nice cruiser not trying to be rude or anything how much would this cost if it was done by a company
+cody barr Quite a bit. Around 70 - 80k
Okay, I can't help wondering.. Is your family from Denmark by any chance? Ronny Dahl would be a perfectly normal name here.. And now you talk to a guy called Torben.. Another common name here. :P
+Gnawer Shreth Yep all danish names :) skål....
Oh cool. Were you born in Denmark or in Australia then? I mean, are you Danish or just have Danish ancestors?
Skål! God jul, Aussies. ;)
born in DK
Ronny Dahl m
With a roof tent, this is my dream truck.
Toyota logic is deadset still in the stone age
Gonzo W These are no where near as reliable as the old 4.2s. There is still no reason they can't come stock with a/c power windows and mirrors for 80k.
great videos Ronny. I look forward to lots more. cheers
Good.
What's the name of the song on the intro?
What is the shield in front or the hood hole. seen them on alot of these trucks. thanks
+C Johnston it's a bug/stone deflector not sure if it's working to well for him as he is now on his 5th windscreen
Awesome vid mate. how often are the episodes going to be coming out?
If will depend on the availability of others but would like to try and do one per month.
Love the clips you do mate. Think iv almost watched all of them.
thanks for the feedback Linc Anesbury
Ronny se c'erano i sottotitoli in italiano 🔝
Just curious if he has the aftermarket cross pipe from ss auto on.
+Kenny lieu does now but not at the time of this video.
is this an alloy tray or steel tray?
yer tires are going flat btw
Keep the videos coming Ronny , it's good to see a closer look at Torben's rig with its new upgrades ,,
Keep them coming
As for his mirrors, they are called "clear view " towing mirrors ,
anthony02789 thanks mate, BTW Adventure Episode 23 is released tomorrow morning 6;30 am West Australian time ;)

Anybody know where I could get a similar back end for a tacoma in the good ol' us of a?
No where here. Closest you'll probably get is a cap, maybe a utility body, but I doubt for a taco. The cap is the closest you'll get. Those back ends are very heavy. Thus on a diesel.
znovosad555 yeah the cap will be fine. I don't even have the money for it yet anyway
Cheers Ronny! Good job.
nicely set up rig.
damn F flies!
Love the new video series!
what is the canopy made out of and the draws
Matt Brend Its all alloy to lighten the weight, steel will be far to heavy.
thank ronny
thanks Ronny
That is a beautiful car
yep
nice car and nice sniper
You should do your 4x4
wounder what a ute like this would be worth
+cammy470 Too much. Fairly good utes, but far too much to pay. It's cheaper and better to buy a 75 series ute instead.
nice vid, the voice volume is little bit low
thankszhaooopu the volume is a bit low on the first two episodes, after that the sound is great, thanks for wathching
Is it just me, or are there some missing episode numbers?
+Steve Hazelett if you are watching TOYOTA only modified playlist then yes you are missing a few. this playlist is the latest updated one ruclips.net/p/PLR6JepWZ7T69lB9Y1r65HEwvgPmEKzguk
+Ronny Dahl (4 Wheeling in W.A.) You got it, thank you! I didn't realize I was in Toyota only!
what is the plastic strip on the bonnet, the bit where it says little bear?
it's called a bug deflector
CaptainClinkers Stone guard, prevents chips in the windscreen.
Love the power board!
Wicked....
Sure thx a lot Ronny..
knightmpw part number is the same for both sides: "OEA215single" its the same part for both sides, you just spin the mirror around.
What offset are the rims?
0 offset front n rear
Thx Ronny
