At first I thought this was an advertisement and I was thinking "why would her parents let her do this," then I realized she's genuinely just trying to make a fishing tips video, and now I think the whole thing is adorable. And good info!
Glad to know we women like to fish too, not just a sport for men! Thank you for the detailed demonstration on what a jerk bait looks like and how to use it. I’m still learning on what the bait is and how to use it, such as a crank bait, a spinner bait, etc…by the way, I’m afraid of live worm. Thanks again.
Great commentary I'm sold dude makes me happy to see young ladies and girls fishing my daughter caught a 6 lb rainbow the other day on a marshmallow haha keep it up
@getcrossedgetmossed yep icing on the cake is it was first cast. I'll be honest I can't catch in a cold in a snow storm so I was impressed and shocked at the same time.
Awesome video, it always scares me when people hold the fish like that with all those trebles right by the hand, I’ve gotten a couple deep hooks in my hand, and when it goes in, and the fish still is stuck to the lure, it is NOT a fun experience.
Braid is not a problem if your fishing jerkbaits honestly it's probably better then having monophiloment line cause you have less of a chance of having your line be bitten off
I’ve caught so many fish off the shimano world minnow. The poor thing looks awful scratched up, lots paint missing but it still catches fish. Bass, crappie, Muskie, hell I’ve even caught a monster bluegill on it.!!! Fantastic lure.
Lake Michigan huh? I heard a lot of ppl been finding smallmouth there. I used to be a Milwaukee resident years ago but lived in Florida a really long time so I chase largemouth. Anyway what would you put onna standard baitcaster? I know what I like to use but I want your opinion. For everything I use 65 lb braid. For leader I use anything from 20 to 40 lb suffix florocarbon with an FG knot. Break control or no breaks at all I never loose distance even tho I use heavy braid. So again what would you personally line up a baitcaster for this application?
I didn’t realize my drag was too tight when I went fishing for the first time on the jetty. I was in the process of reeling in the big hammer swim bait for another cast when it got hit. It only took a second for that strike to snap my line. Now I know 🤙
Can you use straight braid or do you need to tie on leader. Cuz I wanna switch over so would I just get rid of all my mono or whatever to the spool and ty all new braid on? And what are the differences in lines types?
Was that a drum? Also I never heard of using a spinning rod for jerkbaits. Is that a preference thing or is it really more effective than using a casting rod?
Yes it was… I catch lots of freshwater drum when smallie fishing. It’s just a preference for me because I can cast farther and my accurately with a spinning rod.
@@AverieRose i believe it does work for you. If it didn’t you wouldn’t talk about it. I like seeing videos like this. The techniques I don’t know about. Just got off the lake when I commented the first time. I killed it with a jerk bait this afternoon. Keep talking about your style. 👌
Use that advice in the saltwater and you'll catch fish too. I trolled similar lures in Costa Rica and caught dozens of tuna, mahi mahi, mackerel and jacks. Growing up in Florida I caught snook and other fish on that type of lure. Just bump up the leader to 25 lb for inshore and bigger for offshore.
Probably shouldn't of used the net in my opinion it didn't have a problem but typically with jerks I net the fish and the treable hooks get cause in the net and its a b*tch to get out
Everything was valid good tips but her voice jus had me cringing I had to put the volume down lmao

Awesome! I loved hearing your love and excitement for fishing. Thanks for explaining the gerk bait you did a great job.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I tried to be as informative as possible!
@@AverieRose hey I'm a pretty good Fisher and I'm looking for a friend so could I get the snap maybe
You spelled jerk wrong
@@JXSTINPRODZ18 Don’t be a gerk, dude.
@@johnford3549 I wasn’t I was just saying she/he spelt it wrong

Heck yea good job! I’m going to show this to my 4yo girl
That was a nice small mouth! 👍🏽🎣💪🏽
Thanks!
This video deserves more views and likes! Puts my videos to shame! Keep it up angler!
"Tie a fluorocarbon leader to braid" Tell that to my Shrek hands
I've been bass fishing for over 40 years. Now, every 12 yr old with a RUclips channel is an expert.
What’s wrong with an experienced 14 (now 16 year old) angler inspiring and teaching other KIDS how to catch more fish? 🤷🏻♂️
I won't lie. Most professional short I've seen all year, 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Wow, thank you!
I loved watching your video and hear your love for fishing in your voice. Btw a great informative video! Love from the Netherlands, Pat. 😘🇳🇱🎣
Thanks for all the kind words!
nice to see youg people enjoying the great outdoors.
Love your excitement for fishing that's what it is all about.
Awesome Fish, Beautiful Fisherette 🎣
Insane production quality! Wow!
Thank you!
Whoever filmed this did a fantastic job
Nice job. One of the better jerk tuts I've seen.
“Jerking” and “so hard in a sentence from a girl is always a good thing 😂
Those lures look the goods.
Thanks for the tip
Great commentary I'm sold dude makes me happy to see young ladies and girls fishing my daughter caught a 6 lb rainbow the other day on a marshmallow haha keep it up
I can't even catch a 6 pound bass and your daughter is out here catching 6 pound rainbows on marshmallows 😭😭😭
@getcrossedgetmossed yep icing on the cake is it was first cast. I'll be honest I can't catch in a cold in a snow storm so I was impressed and shocked at the same time.
Why do you need a flurocarbon leader? I tie mine right to the main or clip it if im using a clip
I use a baitcaster. A bassmaster pro once told me your jerks should be like beating a drum, pointing the rod at the bait after.
That’s my favorite setup 🔥🔥🔥
Awesome video, it always scares me when people hold the fish like that with all those trebles right by the hand, I’ve gotten a couple deep hooks in my hand, and when it goes in, and the fish still is stuck to the lure, it is NOT a fun experience.
Awesome video! Very helpful!
Happy you enjoyed and glad I could help!
Thx you for tell us how to use a a jerk bait because I'm getting a new baitcaster tomorrow and I can probably use it on there thank you
Girl knows her shit!
Never use braid to floro leader when fishing jerkbaits.

thanks this helped a lot since i didn't want to listen to someone rant for 18 mins
happy to help!
Great video I need to learn more about jerk baits expect it’s a better idea to use a baitcaster for jerk baits for the casting and accuracy
Glad you enjoyed the vid!
Baitcasters suck for jerk baits

Braid should do you just fine you don't need a leader

Thank you ,you give the best advice😃😃
Glad you think so!
ALSO IK SHE SAID USE BRIAD BUT DO NOT USE BRAIDED LINE AROUND ROCK PLEASE DO NOT!!!!😤💪
That was freakin awesome, one day my girls will be just like you. Lines tight!!!
Thank you so much for the kinds words!
I love how you didn’t jerk the freak out of the bass
Wow… really nice to finally have a female fisherwomen!! Keep it up!
Like your style 💯💪🏿
That’s a new one. I’ve never heard of tying on a leader when using a jerk bait.
works for me 🤷♀️

You love it, don't you? It shows. Always be a smart and passionate angler. Happy fishing girl, from Ireland 🇮🇪👍
I do love it! Ireland is on my bucket list for travelling… that’s so cool you’re from there!
Why u used 12lbs line and 10 lbs braid instead of one line braid?.
great info. what are some good colour patterns for lake erie?
Shiny whites and silvers. Reflective blues. Sometime some specs of red and yellows.
Awesome catch and video too 😍👍
Can you use it all year long?

I love this video, greetings from Colombia, South America.
Damn I'm bouta try dis
perfect way to fish the jerkbait thx for the tips
Thanks, That'll help me alot catching monsters
Yeah i use these for tiger muskie alot they are very effective
I’ve never targeted tiger musky before… should definitely try with jerkbaits.
Can’t beat a smallmouth strike
Jerkbaits are awesome, can have great results!
Jerk baits are my favorite
I use a baitcatser for everything except tubes and Ned rigs
Great and concise video! proves you can take like 30 seconds to explain how to do something the same as a 20 minute video
Nice catch! Youngin!
Keep the passion for fishing !
Why leader is stronger than main line?
Me personally I use a baitcaster
nice
Awesome! Thanks for the tips! :)
Thanks… hope their helpful!
She fish better than I do
Will a bay caster work
Yep! I just prefer a spinning rod.
Honestly love to see young women do more shit like this.

Don’t think the line test pound really matters that much but thanks for the info
Line test effects the depth it’ll go to
You’re extremely pretty 😁 Calm down everyone, it’s just a compliment
thanks
Name Shimano reel..???
Dope tips
Does this work with an ultralight with 8lb braid and 6lb fluorocarbon leader
Yep
Dang you know your stuff!
thanks!
I don’t see a lot of girls fishing anymore but I have know!
Nothing like when they hit that hook hard
Is the best feeling ever!

high quality video
Snagger's are the best catch when they don't pop off the hook.
where you buy that
Waw nice
I really like this video
thanks for the knowledge
Finally a girl that understands me when i say jerkbait
ahahah!
Your the first RUclipsr that has 1000 subs to ever comment to me that’s cool thank you ✌️
She is a good angler
If only there were more girls fishing life would be a living dream
I like running pure fluorocarbon for jerkbaits. Nice catch.
I've never tried running pure flour carbon for jerkbaits... I'll have ti test it out sometime!
There great thanks tt 😊
