I'm not a builder but we are looking at buying a weatherboard house and was wondering about doing some of the work ourselves and using a tradie for the technical stuff. This video certainly built up our confidence about that so thank you. Suggestion for part 2 is dealing with gaps between boards.

DONT NO MORE GAP BETWEEN BOARDS,BEING UNDER, IF ITS REALY BAD AT MOST I WOULD USE SIKA MS SEALER ,ITS GOT THE BEST ELASTICITY, NO MORE GAPS WILL NOT STAY THERE WHEN BOARDS MOVE THROUGH SUMER TO WINTER,
I HAVE BEEN IN THE TRADE FOR 39 YEARS NOW AND I HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING, GOOD LUCK

not sure I'd go with wet area base coat for filler. I wouldn't imagine it being flexible enough for weatherboards or the temp changes outdoors. More inclined to use an exterior wood filler like Porion. Anyone else had experience with using a wet area base coat for this type of work?

Great advice. Music is annoying, though, as can hardly hear you?

Sorry but all I could hear was blasting blaring music and the narrator mumbling so low the annoying music downs out the narration.

Thanks, I appreciate your valued feedback on my first RUclips video I ever posted. I definitely have a lot to improve.👍

@@franktradetipstricks3698 And that was not meant to sound rude so don't take it that way. I literally just couldn't understand most of your talking over the music. I understand trying to make it not boring. Just need to not take away from your valuable input as that is the most important aspect the user is looking for. Background music doesn't have to be the main focus (and shouldn't). This is one of those cases where "less is more". I would rather hear your description. Keep on doing what you do and keep improving.

@@CardiacCat All good, I agree with you, & no offence taken. I really do appreciate the comment, as I have taken your advice onboard for future videos. Thanks 👍

Really valuable information here, but could you please re-do it by cutting out the music so that we can hear what you are saying? As it is, I have to play it with sound off since I can't hear your explanations at all.

Is the wet area gyprock base coat suitable for exterior? UV weather boards flexing contracting and expansion, also with shrinkage, there are no recommendations from the manufacture for this, wood and plaster are very different substrates,if it is approved then they have come along way,I liked the meshing technique and I think I can corporate it into my normal filling on boards.I enjoyed your first video.
