You are so amazing! I watch and think, “ Do you ever get any sleep?” When do you get this all done? I am so thankful and appreciative of your videos. Your thinking and planning process really helps me become more organized with my lessons! Would love to see your scope and sequence planning process.
You are a master teacher. In the long run, all the hours that you are putting in, will pay off, especially if you remain in your current district. Your skill with technology and all the things, makes it look effortless, but we know it isn't without a lot of effort. Way to go! Lucky district to have picked you up! Have a great weekend!
Dear Michelle, I watched this video while I was prepping some of my materials and planning for the upcoming week. I always enjoy the motivation and relaxation that I get from watching your videos. They help me feel like I'm not alone in my journey as a teacher. I always take away some nuggets of inspiration from your videos. I am cheering you on and hoping you are doing well. Thanks for all you do! 💜
You inspire me to celebrate the small wins! Thank you for taking us on your teaching journey. It's wonderful to know that we experience the same challenges globally and that teachers can support each other! I watch every single one of your videos. You are a QUEEN when it comes to planning and organization - wow! Greetings from South Africa ❤
I love your videos! I would absolutely LOVE to see a scope and sequence video too! I would actually really enjoy seeing more planning videos. I always get the best ideas from you. As a teacher on year 11 that is starting to feel the burnout, I have been so inspired by your renewed passion and joy as you've re-entered the classroom this year! You've kept me going - thank you!!!!
First, this is not at all boring. I appreciate seeing the “behind-the-scenes” work that contributes to daily classroom operations. Second, I TAed in a district that had district-wide slides that everyone used for every lesson to ensure continuity across the district’s multiple classrooms and buildings. I understand the reasoning for it, but I don’t like not being in charge of my own slides. It’s great that the work is kind of already done, but it’s taking away from my creativity, my students’ pace in the lesson, and a connection between myself and the students and the slides. Do you have any recommendations?
Sounds like a great way to effectively communicate! I just joined a school with four out of five rookies so we’re working hard to align coverage. I like your framework!
Yes! I would love to see the google calendar! I have implemented so many things from you! I am also a 4th Math and STEM teacher in Louisiana using Eureka math! I also going back into the classroom after 2 years as an instructional coach and I am learning to love teaching again! Would you possibly be doing a video if how you prep your Eureka slides? Thank you Thank you for all that you do!
yes to that video about scope and sequence. I don't live in the States, so I don't use scope and sequence, but as you said, "it is about taking bits and pieces to keep us organized". I'm trying your method of slides to see if it helps me. I do have to slow down your videos since you go so fast, but still grateful for the wonderful ideas.
I just purchased a new clicker too 🎉🎉🎉 I am a PE teacher and use slides to let the students know when we have transitioned to a new activity. I used to have to walk all the way from one side of the gym to the other to change the slide (great exercise by the way 😂). It uses batteries but has an on/off switch that hopefully will save battery life in the long run. Been using it for a week now and I love love love it ❤
I have a battery operated one as well, and the battery lasts a long time for me. I usually change it before it needs done just because I am paranoid that it is going to stop working when I am teaching professional development
Great video! Yes I’m interested in a scope and sequence video! It appears you and I are going through the same thing. I’m new to the school and we have a new math curriculum as well! Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated! You’re great and keep up the good work. I know your team is delighted you are there! I’m looking forward to that scope and sequence video! Thanks 😊
Come to Kansas City!!!! We have the best BBQ!!! If you do, my treat! Also, you might have taken a nap after you ate all of the meat, it’s called meat sweat. And, of course, you tired from the job it’s self. Thank you for your videos.
Uh yes please to the scope and sequence. I’m in an independent school that doesn’t have a district and allows us to make up a scope and sequence and it. I’m overwhelmed with it.
Love your videos. Looking forward to the scope and sequence. Question would you put the template for your math Eureka lessons through TPT? I use the ones from Great Minds but yours look so organized.
Thank you for the reminder of the math notes in your TPT store I need to purchase. I was wondering if you, or someone here in the community, had a recommendation for the same idea with reference to the grade 7 & 8 math curriculum? I’m returning to the classroom after being a specialist teacher and don’t feel confident in my level of tech expertise yet.
Thanks Michelle. Great strategic planning. Do you video record yourself of how to do a certain activity so students can reflect on it if they forget how and link into the actual activity or would you add a link to a Google classroom folder? I'm trying to find a sufficient way of doing this as I always tend to miss recording myself doing these. I just wondered if you do that and how you'd do that. This would require extra planning I'd assume. And yes please, could you do a video on Google calendar. I am a secondary teacher in NZ.
Hi Michelle! I love your videos. I'm a math coach at my school and we use Eureka also. Do you have any suggestions/strategies for teaching or helping teachers with the curriculum? I feel like you're very knowledgeable 😂
Really wish that we had specialist teachers in all schools in Ontario. I am responsible for teaching language, math, science, history, geography, health, phys. Ed., visual arts and dance. There are only three subjects that I don’t teach. I’d love to organize like this but it would be exhausting. Oh and I can’t remember the last time I taught a straight grade so I’m teaching all of these subjects for 2 grades.
How in the world are you able to get it ALL done? How many hours per day do you work on average? Between whole group planning, planning 10 small groups a week, meetings, ARDS, conferences, email responses( required) my planning window is taken up Most days
Maybe I am just old (I am 32) but this seems like A LOT of work for one person. And where are the books? And paper and pencil? These kids are going to have carpal tunnel and eye problems by the time they hit high school.
Are you aware that all generations are using technology not just the youngest generation. Everyone is going to have issues from screens and phones. Now get off my lawn!!!

Awesome video!! Do you have to turn in an actual lesson plan to administrators?
I would love to know how to do the Google calendar.

Wonderful video, thank you. What do your lessons look like from the students perspective? 🙂
I know she did a slideshow episode of that helps

Hi! I am interested in viewing a tutorial/ how-to video of " Organizing a Scope and sequence in Google Calendar". Thank you
I love that show The Girl and the Dragon Tattoo. 🎉🎉
Please include scope and sequence video! Tia

I need a GoogleDrive organization mentor. Lol Keeping my GDrive can be excruciating sometimes.

Also I can verify students still use pencil and papers, it’s going to be ok.
She has said before the students have a math workbook. I’m assuming they write in that.
