Love the hacks!! I have figured out some of those on my own!! So cool!! I keep fingernail polish remover in a cabinet to use to get marker off of plastic folders of workbooks too! ❤
I like to set alarms on my teacher computer so that if I am not at school, I don’t have to hear them go off all day or remember to turn them off and back on. Also, they play through my classroom speaker and a little note pops up on the screen which is helpful to my class to see who needs to do what.
Great ideas! My fav hacks: Create a QR code with all of your teacher contact info and save it as a photo on your phone or smart watch. When you’re talking to a parent and want to quickly share your contact info, just show them the picture and they can scan it with their phone. Also, dollar store plastic tablecloths make perfect bulletin board backdrops and are already cut to size or easy to trim.
What timing! I'm currently applying for my teacher training in the UK and I'm trying to write my personal statement. I feel like this is the perfect company!! Thanks Michelle! ♥️
Love the hacks! Using your phone for alerts is smart it holds the teacher accountable and the student also! The food hack made me LOL because I have done the same thing! Your old hacks are your “greatest hits”!
Michelle, thank you for these hacks for teachers, I am a college student, and I got to say, while I may not be able to use all of them, I already have mind which ones will be handy. Thanks Michelle!
8:48 I use the same system but with my computer which projects to the view board and the students silence the alarms by tapping the x on the board + I don’t have all of them on my phone. I use the timer/alarm app that comes with Windows.
I use the alarms on my phone as well, but the alarms for students I put on an old iPad that I keep in the back of the room. that way when I am absent, the alarms for students still happen.
Use pieces of felt as erasers on dry erase boards. They are cheap, come in different patterns and colors, are easily replaceable and fit into oencil boxes.
You can also bookmark a page by click-dragging from the icon on the left of the URL bar. You just have to hover/pause over folders on the bookmarks bar to get them to open so you can drop the page inside a folder
Love the bookmarks for Google slides and the table of contents for commonly used slides. I am working on creating slides for various lessons in a new curriculum and am struggling to find them in my drive when I need them. Smart! Just create one doc with all the links to each lesson. Duh. Seems so simple but will save me so much time! Thank you!
Instead of bookmarking the page in your Google slides, I take the lesson I finishing teaching and move it to the end using the shortcut and then my next days lessons are at the top ready for me. The links in my table on contents still work also.
Good hack with bookmarks and email templates. We use 2 platforms 1 for learning and the other for admin/emails, etc. I'll try the template hack for that platform. I knew about the permanent marker and w/board hack. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t know if it still does this but Class Dojo allows you to create random groups as well, but you can go into settings and tell it to never group certain kids together. Students will never see that you did that, even if you have Class Dojo projected onto the board and click create random groups.
I love your videos! I have a question for you! I am trying to find a good seating chart randomizer that I can use on multiple devices. Is there anything you would recommend? I am going crazy trying to find a good one. I have purchased one, but it will not let me create on my computer and then use on my Smart Board. (Multiple devices!)
How do you add the alarm on the computer instead of phone? I like the person above that said it pops up a message in the screen. Where do you set that up?
Thank you for this video:). When you share your newsletter, do you add it as an attachment, or embed into the email itself? I feel like some people won’t open it if it’s an attachment. Curious about your thoughts;)
Well Michelle, Good call with the idea of swapping students because as much as you the teacher want your students' heads in the game you also don't want students together who may erupt into fighting and then you are going from being a teacher to being a referee/WWE RAW Event Staff Person for a good minute trying to break up a fight. - Dwight

I’ve heard more teachers say that you make them feel like “it’s doable”. Thank you. We need you!❤

These are awesome hacks! I can’t wait to use Flippity tomorrow. My kids are going to love it! 🤗🎉
Creating E-Mail templates was completely new to me but I'll definitely keep that for my time management repertoire. 🙏😊
Loved the email template hack! Didn’t know I could do that! Also, how useful extra glue stick and marker caps are!!! Thank you!!

Hello from France ! Thanks for these hacks. I think Flippity is going to be useful and fun for me

I will be using Flipity next week! It will be great for share groups for QSSSA! 🎉📚
Love the hacks, Michelle!

Could you please eliminate the background music? I your videos are great
Totally agree! I miss the old-style vlogs. I loved the old music she used to use during sped-up portions and not while talking
I second that emotion.
These were great hacks! Thanks for sharing

Love your videos! Where can I get a t-shirt like the one you are wearing in the video?
Wait! You can bookmark Google Drive contents?!
I'd have to set, like, 25 alarms. 😅

I love how this is "smarter not harder" in pacing units and lessons. Thanks!
