💗💗💗💗💗Welcome back! I love the arrow manipulative for reading! Our student reading texts are in workbook form so students can annotate , highlight, and underline in them. I may try the arrows out in small group instruction, within center rotations. Thank you!
💗💗 Even though I teach 6th grade math in a small, private Christian school, I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your ideas and calm spirit. ☺️
💗I am teaching First grade this year, after teaching Kindergarten 18 years. I love watching your videos!! These last few weeks have been super busy for us also.
🩷 I’m a kindergarten teacher in North Carolina. I always look forward to your videos! This one was especially relatable. I am also preparing for parent teacher conferences and have had a couple of very busy weeks.
I teach Fifth grade so we do a plot diagram. I cut sticky notes into strips and they have to write the parts of the diagram and label them in the story. They also have to identify the personification in the story. Having them write the the words on the sticky notes helps them to remember the parts of the plot diagram. This week they will have spinners with the labels on them. After we reread the story they will get in groups and spin the spinner (taking turns) and find that part of the story. I love folktales. The students are so engaged. 💗
Excellent video. I love your idea to use the UFLI decodable text in centers. Where did you get the “Closed Syllable” worksheet on the front of the page with the lists of words? That isn’t in the UFLI toolbox, is it?
Love your vlogs, especially the long ones! Sounds like you have been super busy but you are handling it like the amazing teacher that you are! Glad that you have a practicum student, they are a lot of work but they are also super helpful :)
💗As a Flight Attendant who enjoys your videos for relaxation, I smiled 😊when you said Flight Attendant. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you mention it. 😅. Love these Saturday videos. I know the hard work behind them so thank you. 🎉. Enjoy your weekend.
The conferences things is kinda crazy. We have three half days were twice students start at noon and the other day they leave at noon. That days they start at noon they still leave at 3:30 but we stay till 7:30 for evening conferences. The PTA provides the first night and there are usually left overs. The day they leave at noon we only do conferences to normal contract hours. The days are crazy managing the kids with short hours but it's nice they are teacher workb days in our contract so no subs or sub plans
Dear Katie, hi from Germany! 😊 I'm 29 years old and also work as a teacher. Currently I'm teaching English in years 5, 6 and 7. In Germany the school system is so much different than in the US. Nevertheless, I watch all of your videos all the time as an inspo for room decor, organization and just ideas of what to do. 😊 Thanks for being so creative. 💕
I do love epic! Our district does not let us use it because it is not on our list of approved applications unfortunately, but DEFINITELY recommend for anyone who is able to!
Dear Princess Katie, 1. You look pretty in your outfit. 2. Please forgive your students for they do not have the real proper time of day to get the Halloween trick or treat candy out of them or chat with their friends outside of the confines of a school campus. It is what it is sometimes. Keep handling it like a champ. - Dwight

@@davidea43 the mirror is from Amazon and my husband cut a custom hole in the first layer of the door to set it into! I LOVE IT!!
