As a retired teacher, I do not miss all of the constant pains of testing (amongst numerous other things)! You are doing an amazing job dealing with the constant stresses of teaching.
In Ohio we have to do acadience testing, which is an oral reading fluency assessment. It’s 3 passages for each student and they have to retell every story. Anyways we have to do that for each student 3 times a year, and if they flag red, we have to asses them every 2 weeks. AND we have to provide each red student with 90 min of extra instruction A WEEK! It can’t be during regular reading instruction either 😅
Thank you so much for this video. Our state has adopted a literacy law, that I’m excited about, but I don’t like the curriculum our district uses. This video reminded me of some strategies that I can use with it. It opened the flood gate.
Do you have a close up or link to the graphic organizer on your social studies wall? I need to find more ss resources because our "curriculum" is so sparse.
When I was in the third grade I acted up one day in special education class and I did get sent to the principal and I was paddled that time in elementary school back then.😅😅
Can you share where you got the list of cve words (at 9:05) from? I thought you said UFLI but i didn't see any word lists there. Thank you and have a great year.
My favourite pens are the bic gelocity pens they are a bit on the pricey side but totally worth it 13 pens for £17 don’t know what it would be in american dollars but you get 13 different colours Red Light green Dark green Light blue Dark blue Light pink Dark pink Light purple Dark purple Black Torqoise Dark orange Light orange I love it as I right a daily journal and love writing in different colours
