So from what I can tell, it’s not that the CGI is bad necessarily, it’s that it’s so close to just a regular human face that it delves into the uncanny valley, which isn’t really something that could be fixed with a CGI touchup. Ideally, what you’d want to do for a series like this is either make her look slightly more monstrous to get rid of that uncanny valley polar express vibe, or just do extensive prosthetics, but then sacrifice the height change. It’s really tough.
Agreed, feel like the solution would’ve been to take from the John F book and deepfaked her face on top of the CGI one, the body doesn’t look bad it’s just the face moves like rubber.

I didn’t notice that the CGI was bad. I’ll assume that the critics know what they are talking about. Stephen King once observed that people back in the day were more willing to suspend disbelief for the sake of following a story. Movie goers in the fifties were prepared to accept that Ben Chapman and Ricou Browning was the Creature from the Black Lagoon, a piscine amphibious humanoid that predated mankind. No one was genuinely fooled by the special effects, but that didn’t matter. People enjoyed the story. It isn’t as if humanity’s ability to discern the truth has improved. Look at all of the people who have accepted the outlandish QAnon claims.

I'm a big She-Hulk fan! I love the Sensational She-Hulk comic book series. She was one of my favorite Marvel characters because of her colorful humor and the ability to break the fourth wall. I also had a childhood crush on her too ha ha But wow, this TV series look like a BAD JOKE. I suspected this was going to be a disappointment when I first found out they cast Tatiana Maslany for the coveted role. She's a good actress but she was not right for the part and it's showing here. Everything about her appearance as She-Hulk look off, awkward, and cringy. And I'm not buying her as Jennifer Walters, either. And on top of the bad CGI, I'm not sure why they even bother making this if they're going to go half-assed with the casting and the visual effects. The plot, whatever it is, can't be worse. I really wanted to give this the benefit of the doubt and like this but so far the trailer is a let-down. Let's see if the show itself can prove otherwise.

I don't know... I didn't buy-in to this character in the comics -- it's going to have a harder sell in "live action." The age-old trope of creating female knock-offs of popular male characters for a quick and calculated cash grab (think The Bionic Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, How I Met Your Father, and very soon Chick Thor) without having to do any of the hard creative lifting. Simply plug a pretty face and a pair of boobs into the formula and presto! We can all head to the bank. It's lazy and insults the audience. "Why couldn't this have just been a Hulk Story?" "Because she's a lawyer." "So it could have just been a Matt Murdock story?" "..." Just because a character is "revered Marvel canon" doesn't necessarily make them filmworthy. Female characters are awesome! Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Peggy Carter, and yes, I'd even include Captain Marvel on this list... All of them unique, badass, and beloved by fans. Give us more of these! Heroines deserve their own unique identities and stories. Making female heroes who are b-side derivatives of iconic male characters does nobody any favors. *rant over
Idk, Jane Foster Thor was a good story arc in the comics which then pivoted into her being her own character separate from Thor so I at least have hope for that in the cinematic universe.

How come she isn’t this like female bodybuilder type? And seems to casually walk around and talk while hulked out??? No angry growls or roars? Most people seem to like the trailer. I’m not sure what I was looking at. To see a half-changed hulk smiling while she transforms was awkward. It seems like this film doesn’t know what it wants to be. Comedy? Drama? Superhero movie? I get Ally McBeal reference, and I dont like it. I dont like when comic book movies dont take themselves seriously. Neither the hulk or she-hulk seem intimidating or fearsome at all. It looks boring to be honest.
She Hulk wasnt like the Hulk in that way. She retained far more of her intelligence and humanity.

I'm a big She-Hulk fan! I love the Sensational She-Hulk comic book series. She was one of my favorite Marvel characters because of her colorful humor and the ability to break the fourth wall. I also had a childhood crush on her too ha ha But wow, this TV series look like a BAD JOKE. I suspected this was going to be a disappointment when I first found out they cast Tatiana Maslany for the coveted role. She's a good actress but she was not right for the part and it's showing here. Everything about her appearance as She-Hulk look off, awkward, and cringy. And I'm not buying her as Jennifer Walters, either. And on top of the bad CGI, I'm not sure why they even bother making this if they're going to go half-assed with the casting and the visual effects. The plot, whatever it is, can't be worse. I really wanted to give this the benefit of the doubt and like this but so far the trailer is a let-down. Let's see if the show itself can prove otherwise.
People complaining about the CGI as if Marvel was ever good with CGI most of their movies over rely on it and sucks out most of the tension in some cases, At least this takes place in the real world.
Bruce's Hulk cgi looked Thanos level realistic and She-hulk cgi felt like it was more rushed and unpolished...

People seriously just hating she hulk cause of the she when she's a great character in the comics. Yes the animation on her is pretty bad but we get more mark ruffulo finally and the story itself will likely be hilarious

I thought that she hulk was supposed to enjoy being in her she hulk form? This seems like they really took a lot of her brashness and boldness out of her. If you wanted to make a demure character I'm sure there are plenty of heroes like kitty pride who would be better able to tell that story

I don't know... I didn't buy-in to this character in the comics -- it's going to have a harder sell in "live action." The age-old trope of creating female knock-offs of popular male characters for a quick and calculated cash grab (think The Bionic Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, How I Met Your Father, and very soon Chick Thor) without having to do any of the hard creative lifting. Simply plug a pretty face and a pair of boobs into the formula and presto! We can all head to the bank. It's lazy and insults the audience. "Why couldn't this have just been a Hulk Story?" "Because she's a lawyer." "So it could have just been a Matt Murdock story?" "..." Just because a character is "revered Marvel canon" doesn't necessarily make them filmworthy. Female characters are awesome! Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Peggy Carter, and yes, I'd even include Captain Marvel on this list... All of them unique, badass, and beloved by fans. Give us more of these! Heroines deserve their own unique identities and stories. Making female heroes who are b-side derivatives of iconic male characters does nobody any favors. *rant over
Idk, Jane Foster Thor was a good story arc in the comics which then pivoted into her being her own character separate from Thor so I at least have hope for that in the cinematic universe.
