Sand is mostly commonly made of silicon. Humans have less than 0.15% Silicon by mass. So if they're (somehow) only measuring silicon mass, it would probably be a negligible added if a human fell in. Granted, there's the bird comment, and I'm too lazy to find the composition of elements. Plus this was just an excuse for me to look up how much silicon is in a human. Great video!

The same radioactive Hulk Blood that turned Emil Blonsky into Abomination also transformed Samuel Sterns's mind and gave him genius-level intelligence. So that's just his brain becoming huge as the radioactive blood mixes with his own!
