This song means a lot to me. My daughter survived the OKC bombing at the YMCA daycare and this was played during a video soon after that. I love Reba and I would love to meet her some day.
what chills i get from this song,, boy do i wish i would have only known the nite my dad had died i would have stayed by his side forever, that is the sad thing we never know what a great singer ,
Dedicate this song to my great friend, co-worker James Trachta, who died unexpectedly, and we all miss him so much at Miller Brewing Co. A good friend, hard-working man, with excellent family values. Thanks Reba!
I love Oklahomans...they were so strong through the senseless bull shit on that day. Im a very proud Coloradan that was at Ft Sill Oklahoma but on that day I was an Oklahoman who was so devastated..I cant wait to one day visit the memorial and pay homage to all who perished on that day...peace and love.
I'm hoping to see her in September & this is the only song I don't want her to sing. Probably won't, but if she does, I will completely lose it (like right now). Luv you Reba! Thumbs up if you love reba!!!!
I've heard this song a dozen times & can't help but get choked up every single time. I read somewhere that she has only performed this song 3 times in her career live. Understanable. It was initiatlly written after the loss of most of her band in a plane crash. Her, Narvel, & some other members survived as they were in another plane, but the rest didn't make it. I cried over this song before now I'm even more emotional. Love this SONG!
This song gets every single time. Funny story about this song...when I first heard it I thought it was a beautiful song (I still think this), but then I saw the music video & I thought it was about a loss of a child. My sister had lost her oldest daughter at only 9 months & just thought about her everytime I heard the song. Then I discovered the REAL reason behind it (the loss of her band) & now I can never EVER get through this song without choking. Greatest song EVER! C U in Halfiax!!! Hoping!
Just a beautiful tribute to all who have lost someone special. If I had only known that one specail sunday would be the last flea market I would share with Lindy was our last, I would have spent the whole day. He passed to cancer 3 days later, at 36 he was called for a much higher purpose. Im lost with out him, but sharing the most wonderful years of my life with him will always be the greatest memories of all. RIP Lindy, your missed and loved by all of us you touched with your beautiful soul.
omg , thanks for share this video is so sad and beautiful in the same time , Reba was so beautiful and her eyes look soo sad and touched , no one could've done it better than her ,beautiful video
what a beautiful song, and plus, Reba is From Oklahoma, and that is plain beautiful. Her heart has really in it,just look at her eyes, I think she might have lost someone special. Actually, I know she did, her band, she lost them all in a tragic plane Accident. *Sigh* she misses them everyday i am sure
Everytime I hear her do this song I think about her band members that died in the plane crash. She did this song on For My Broken Heart record after that crash...it was so hard for her....

16th November 2007 - Oklahoma City, OK - Ford Center (Centennial Spectacular) Reba does look more radiate with ageing, then again she is Redhead and has all that fire in her.

My mom almost went to that building the day of the bombing, she was very LUCKY she had a dr's app. that day and as soon as this song started. I started crying..... WHAAA!! WHAAA!
I was at work in a Federal hospital when the bombing happened. It felt to me that my brothers and sisters had been murdered, and they had. For days the authorities were unaware that they already had the bomber in custody. There was no justification for the taking of these lives. These people weren't part of the Bomber's grievance against the Justice Department. He was merely a cowardly murderer who murdered innocent children among others. This song conveys some of the feeling of loss from that.
If you could replace the video with another version without losing the current comments, I would. Is the edit here for dubbing audio and replacing the existing one?

This was a tribute to the Oklahoma bombing in the early 90's.
