200th Like :)
Imagine you get brutally murdered, and then find out your killer is now best buddies with your brother.
That's a hell of a way to find out your brother doesn't like you anymore.

Yeah, my understanding is Bi-han sees Frost as a minor grunt too greedy for her own good
The respect for Kuai-Liang feels both grudging and mocking
Bi-Han acknowledging his little bro being better even after all the shit both went through is amazing.
Eh, Frost isn't exactly high mark to overcome
Being better than Frost isn't a high bar. It's actually a bigger insult to Frost just because it's Bi-Han of all people admitting it.
@@HoodWeegee My Point exactly.

@@vitaliitomas8121Nah. It's just a massive blow to her as it's Bi-Han of all people admitting it.
I do like the intros where he seems a bit bitter of how he died
Given how it happened I don’t exactly blame him.
I'd be bitter too if someone killed me for something I didn't do and got forcibly resurrected as a wraith for the rest of my life.
@@HeteroflexibleMerus I find it inconsistent in some ways though, since he also seems to revel in it, though that could just be his corruption, and the bitterness is more the real Bi Han.
@@naos8116 he gets a second chance and is more powerful so he revels in that but he still would prefer if he wasnt Noob. Basically he is happy with what he got
@@HirAMUSlC no homie consistently says that being Noob is better to him than being human Sub-Zero. His deal with Kronika is to have a clan based on the Brotherhood of Shadows, not as being the leader of the Lin-Kuei as Sub-Zero. He likes being Noob, point blank. Remember, most revenant dialogues are meant to antagonize opponents first and foremost. None of this dialogue shows any real desire to being Sub-Zero again or to get his old life back. Any desire he had for a new life includes retaining his status as an avatar for darkness and death. No other revenant shows that desire but him
Honestly, I wish Hanzo and Bi-Han had a dialogue based around what the former learned in MKX. Scorpion's had an interaction with himself talking about his regret over killing him, so it'd be interesting seeing them discuss with each other about it so long after.
Could've had an intro where Hanzo says he was misled by Quan Chi. He actually feels regret for Bi Han's death back in MK2.
Not sure it would make too much of a difference considering Bi-Han was still complicit, if not directly responsible.
Scorpion might have spared him had he known, but I don't think he'd ever trust him, not like he does Kuai Liang.
It's like the line from Gone Girl, "just because I'm not a murderer doesn't mean I'm not a bad guy."
@@marcussabom2696 Kuai Liang spent several games attempting to restore Bi Han, though, so he clearly wasn't that bad before death. Also, why is Scorpion seem as redeemable but not Bi Han?
@@marcussabom2696 I saw another dialogue shortly after watching this, and I definitely agree that I may have missed a spot.
@@naos8116 Again, as previously mentioned, while Bi-Han wasn't directly responsible for the death of Hanzo, Hanzo's family, Hanzo's clan, it's not like Bi-Han was in a big hurry to stop it either.
Being complicit in a crime means you're sort of on the hook for it along with the actual trigger man.
Hanzo was the victim of a terrible crime, so I would imagine folks can understand when Scorpion's temper gets the better of him.
Not to mention Hanzo attempting to move on, start a new Shirai Ryu clan, train new warriors, and even make amends with Kuai Liang.

@@darkzeroprojects4245You say that but these intros show that there is some humanity in him. Although intros aren't canon. But still interesting to see. I do agree with Bi Han that his death was unjust and Raidens punishment for Scorpion was not justice. Raiden says Scorpion lost his trust but nothing really changed.
He also was the one who stole Shinook's amulet which empowered Quan Chi a lot before the first games story, even if he tried to redeem himself by trying to get it back, that played a huge part on how the events of story happened, without the amulet/Shinook the Netherealm won't be a menace at all

"Name one realm you control"
I think the reason we won't get a redemption for Noob, is because Quan Chi stripped any good left in him when he created him. Unlike Smoke who still obtained a bit of his soul when he was cyberized, I think Noob had his completely taken away.
Bi-Han also accepted his transformation into Noob. It’s stated several times that Bi-Han was already villainous and quite devoted to killing before dying. Part of the reason Quan Chi wanted him was due to his initial darkness. Moreover, his transformation into Noob was so successful because, unlike most of the other revenants, Bi-Han considered his revenant status as an evolution of who he once was. Most other revenants show some desire to be human again. But Noob consistently wants a world where he is the pinnacle of death and darkness. There’s no redemption arc because he fully embraced his status

0:54 MK12 foreshadowing (the new subzero is actually bi-han)
The Original Sub-Zero has always been Bi Han, since the days of MK1 in 1992. Scorpion killed/murdered Sub Zero, like in MK9, in the original Mortal Kombat tournament. Then his younger brother, Kuai Liang took his place and swore his revenge on Scorpion (original timeline). Though Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) murdered Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion) in cold blood at a temple during MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero, it was Quan Chi (accompanied by the Lin Kuei in a deal made by Sektor and Quan Chi, that Lin Kuei would assist and align itself with the fallen Elder God and master of the Netherrealm, Shinook) and not Sub-Zero (though Quan-Chi took Sub Zero's form) that murdered Scorpion's Shirayi Ryu ninja clan and his wife and child in Japan. And Scorpion was fooled into thinking Bi-Han murdered his family and clan, with Quan Chi usin Scorpion's rage and lust for revenge towards Sub-Zero for his own evil and corrupt ends, and to use Scorpion as a revenant soldier, after Quan Chi revived Scorpion into his hideous revenant form.
I wish there was an intro with noob and scorpion where he apologizes for killing him
Such a wasted opportunity
MK1 is bringing back Noob Saibot.
Bi-Han understood Hanzo's pain. But couldn't build off of it. A pain far too great. Betrayal in the form of his brother befriending the man who killed him. It's hard to not overstate that this man was dealt wrong without any context to their relationship. Never once allowing Quili to explain
Really dont know how I feel about MK11's philosophy of "if he looks evil then make him evil" cause its always bothered me that characters who should respect or dare I say have love for Bi-Han just leave him to rot as Noob Saibot. Scorpion has found the true killer and took him down, Kuai Liang is his little brother for christ sakes, Raiden knows he isnt all bad and tried to save him before, and you think someone from his clan would try something for the guy but nobody does and they all just talk shit about him like he was horrid human being when its common knowledge at this point he was basically just a powerful lin kuei with ice powers who got framed. Seriously just bring Bi-Han back at this point and either flush him out before Noob Saibot to justify this hate or flush him out as Noob Saibot to show he isn't all bad when he can get past that revenant bullshit.
Bi Han's mind is corrupted by the power that holds him alive as the spectre he is.
love how he hypes up Kuai Liang against frost!
"I was killed unjustly"... I mean, Bi-Han isn't wrong here. Also Raiden just stating: "For that Scorpion lost my trust" honestly: I do get why Bi-Han likes to think that losing someone's trust over murdering someone isn't really the justice he is after
Imo, both Bi-Han and Hanzo deserve redemption but it only feels like one is working towards it while the other isn't. They were both equally screwed over but I feel like no matter what Bi-Han didn't care enough to be redemed.
Now that the next MK game is coming out and the story takes place in a new timeline, maybe we’ll see Bi-Han as Sub-Zero again
