seriously, i travel all the way to new york just to visit the Met. the erudition and quality judgment that go into every detail are unparalleled
We have been lucky enough to visit the renovated galleries. It is a completely new experience--so dynamic, so refreshing to see the works in a different perspective.
The newly themed galleries and the much improved lighting make all the paintings come to new relevance. Great work.
Simply phenomenal artistry..Once again highly appreciated that you're narrators are so intelligent and knowledgeable. Speaking with charm class and elegance they bring to life these gemstones of history with total articulation an passion for fine art many of us share.
This presentation emphasiss on the different variable talents beautifully orchestrates the endless history lessons these masterpieces hold within thier beautiful constructed frames and ideal settings!
How blessed we are in our world to have so many people still preserving and protecting these priceless archives of past civilization.
Thank you so much for this wonderful channel!
Such a lovely comment, thank you so much for sharing your insight and positivity. I love what you said about these artworks bringing endless history lessons :)
@@magicknight13 My honor a most deserving applause of appreciation for your team of expertise! :)
The Met a palace of beauty.
I love when artworks talk to each others! ❤️
I can't wait to visit the Metropolitan!!
So much more dynamic, relevant, thought-provoking than the mind-numbing "school" display. I am so excited. I love the Met. I know the collection well. But now, it is like going to a new museum for a whole new experience with those old friends. Thank you Met!!!!
Appreciate that The Met is trying to incorporate more works by female artists in its collection
Thankfully the Met can afford to pursue the best examples, unlike the majority of venues which are cheapening their collections by the inclusion of third- and fourth-rate works by women simply because they're women.
None of whom ever reached the same level or reputation in their lifetime.
@@monkeygraborange that's your opinion
But this would give false impression of the proportion of male/ female great masters!
A beautiful way to spend the afternoon
Love all your videos Appreciation to all concerned in the galleries showing your masterpieces in a new light.
Bravo, Met! I look forward to returning one day to see these works in person. :)
I love these videos from the Met. Thank you ❤️
I really love the new installment in the galleries! I very much love still life’s and I always felt that they just got thrown in and didn’t have a place to really shine. This is wonderful!
Wouldn't I love to visit. A friend spent summers in New York with a daughter living uptown very close to Met. He would send me postcards of art at the Met. The postcards were wonderful! A dream...
this makes me want to visit again so bad!!! I would love to have Keith guide me from room to room
Absolutely brilliant, we all need more Art education.
Wonderful!
The Rubens at 4:16. I've looked very closely at that painting many times. The thick build up of alizarin crimson changes when you look at from a different angle, and on the cheek becomes a very realistic hollow. Go see it, you'll see what I mean. It's like a magic trick with paint.
Oh,, how gorgeous
So wonder filled. Thank you for this video.
I really want to be a curator when I'm a little older and more trained, and this is so inspiring!
WOW ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I really love the old Masters!❤
Wow, I was there the last year, the Met is great, one of the most liked was the paint from David Caspar Friedrich.
love this wonderful tour🧡😊 thank you for sharing!!
great job
how could Carvaciggio that messed up have painted like that? Amazing!!!1
Wonderful video
유용한 정보 감사드려요.
The city of Prague also vests a lot of old Flemish masters. Just to let you know.
Patrick Bringley brought me here
Only 300 views..a small dash of knowledge to start the day.
Nice
Informative piece. Looking forward to a visit. However, one shot is still log and needs to be color graded! Otherwise, nice work on the video.
The Moma has it all. I once saw in a small museum in Bruges Picasso's realistic statues dating from the beginning of his carreer. That is something to get to the Moma too cuz it sheds an all other light on a later abstract painter than he is known wiith the greater puclic . Picasso had craft. About that still life in Europe...we still do that. Rubens was not a vegetarien.
恨不得插翅飛去!
I hope you left the Rembrandts together.
. I am planning to make videos for a nonprofit artist group in Brooklyn New York, BWAC. Please tell me the gimbal mode used for art works on the walls.. thank you
I’m the first one ☝️!
I love how he says, across from the painting of Venice, are painting of domestic life of Venice. More like from the rich and famous, not what I would consider domestic life.
Gallery of women artist was lacking so we addressed that. Will we show it to you? No.
I wish they would combine the museum with a hotel, then you could just stay or even live there.
6:32 Those fingers....
lol*
Another gap, at least in this video, is the lack of curators who aren't all white guys!
More pigmentation and menstruation.
Arline Webb👈 An observation of truly stunning ignorance. Brava.
Oh no...not another "let's embrace diversity" guy
The Louvre and The Prado are better.
No
Is this man duller than a doorknob? It's close.
They say that if enough people give a comment a thumb down, it will be removed.
Is someone forcing you to watch??!! Find something else to do, easy!
@@sandrar.focseneau4106 I did. Rapidly.
Wonderful!
