Thank you so much for sharing. I will likely not be able to see the exhibit in person, but this little glimpse has truly inspired me. Some of the pieces, & the skill involved in their creation, took my breath away!
petition for the MET to create a yearly cinematic documentary of their annual exhibition including the most notable behind the scenes from the history, creation and staging of the exhibition, the creative ideas and just about everything.
Mr Andrew Bolton is certainly the most impressive museum curator on earth! His visionary work is truly magnificent. The amount of research he does for every exhibition is beyond belief. What a talent!
My frail body could never endure the long wait to visit the museum. Having this video on you tube provides a wonderful ability for those like me, to experience this exhibit in some small way.
How long it takes to you see it complete once inside? (the wait line its normal, last year was same, we use that time to see the other galleries) Thanks!
I feel like this video should have been showed to all of the attendees to help them understand the assignment... appreciate the complex curation and inclusion of all the senses in this exhibit. Thank you for the in depth look.
I'm absolutely in awe watching this exhibition...and this is not even half of it! Well done, Andrew and the team for putting this together. I wish I could have the honor of seeing this in person. ❤
Yes please, a full length doco would be great for the bulk of us around the world who won't see it in person. So beautiful, so much to learn. I guess there'll be a coffee table book? Also costly, but at least libraries might be encouraged to buy it.
I just wish I was able to visit to see this. What absolute beautiful pieces. And what critical work the Costume Museum does. Seeing the materials and garments, breathtaking. And the tour commentary is so interesting. Amazing exhibition. Thank you ❤
There are a few places in our world's timeline which i sincerely wish i could be present. This exhibition is one of those times. Garments and fheir curstion is something which is very close to my heart. I still have my grandmother's wedding sari from 1940 amongst other things. I convey my heartfelt regards and thanks to the MET and Mr. Bolton for this insightful and amazing video. Best wishes and congratulations for the successful exhibition. Love from India.
i saw this collection... stunning curation... i'm not sure how much the scent tubes added to the experience but the use of AI to show how the piece moves in a body is excellent
I would love to see some of the more modern dresses in the photographs of the models who surely modeled them, when they were first presented. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. I can't really find the words to express it adequately, but this exhibit moved me deeply. I'll probably regret not being able to experience this exhibit in person for the rest of my life. I appreciate the opportunity to see it.
Thank you so much for this. Again I watched at 75% speed on a big screen so that the material would be visible longer; I like to zoom in on detail. I appreciate that in the video the camera moves so that we see more than static photos, so to speak. Lucky are those who can walk the galleries. 🤠
Absolutely beautiful thank you for creating such a wonderful and insightful piece. I am an art student Living in Ireland and it is unlikely I will get to see and experience such beauty in person which would be a dream... but by watching and listening to this I was temporarily transported into your magnificent exhibition. I also loved the use of sent, projection and AI simulation to enrich the experience. I found this piece extremely inspiring.
Classy and delicious....absolutely BRILLIANT interpretation of fashion's place in history, and nature's permanent residence in fashion. Thank you for taking time to compose this video. This will reach those unable to attend in person and offer a bit of insight to those planning to attend.
I was going to say something critical in the previous video-so glad I saw this second video of actual exhibit! Now I get what they were aiming for. Bravo and Brava!
Right now I wish I lived in New York! this is so amazingly beautiful! Would love to see it in person unfortunately i live in another country. So appreciative that this video was made. The history of some of the pieces is so incredible.
I want to fly to NYC experience this exhibition. And come home. I don't ask for much. The fact that there’s a surviving dress from the house of Worth, that’s like my Graceland.
I cried the entire video because of the fragility, the artistry and the magical magnificence of the pieces……. And also because I’ll probably not be able to view in person…… thank you for sharing…… can you please make this a online virtual tour ❤❤❤
Thrilled to know every one of these works or art are forever carefully curated so that's there's ZERO chance it'll end up on a "celebrity" at the Met Gala.
Another, once in a lifetime creation by the genius Andrew Bolton ! What an incredible exhibit, on so many levels. This guy is a one of a kind human that has no equal ! { 🌹but i'm beside myself on how Alexander McQueen's Rose Dress was absent, since it is a monster of creativity🌹 }
Wow! What a gorgeous exhibit. I'm slated to do a performance in NYC and I'm gonna make sure to add this to my itinerary and come here for a whole day to view everything! I love the Met
Thank you for this informative, lovely video especially with Mr Bolton’s distinguished narrative and insights. The video highlights not only this extraordinary exhibit but also the importance of the Met in giving us a place to see and experience our world’s history through art, fashion and invention.
Thank you so much for sharing. I will likely not be able to see the exhibit in person, but this little glimpse has truly inspired me. Some of the pieces, & the skill involved in their creation, took my breath away!
Me too, living in Aotearoa and unlikely to be wealthy enough to travel to see this it was wonderful to experience some of it... Thank you.

Fabulous! This deserves to be a full length documentary so that everyone can experience the wealth of this collection.
I have videos and photos of everything on my Facebook

Andrew Bolton's voice is soothing to hear. It's nice that the gentleman himself narrates the presentation.
And the words he use to describe the pieces are on point. Such great talent
My frail body could never endure the long wait to visit the museum. Having this video on you tube provides a wonderful ability for those like me, to experience this exhibit in some small way.
be ready for a 2-hour wait in line but it's absolutely worth it, will be visiting again soon
Makes me want to hop on a plane!

This looks absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for giving us this glimpse.
This video of the exhibit seems more comprehensive than other years, I really appreciate that
Gracias por este recorrido privado❤ una joya poder disfrutarlo!
I'm absolutely in awe watching this exhibition...and this is not even half of it! Well done, Andrew and the team for putting this together. I wish I could have the honor of seeing this in person. ❤

3:22 That would’ve been the perfect dress for this year’s Met Gala. Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion/The Garden of Time.
Very beautiful and thoughtful display of dresses within the collection. Wonderful stories for each dress.

0:10 If that is a Constantin Brancusi, then you've outdone yourselves! 😍😍
Well done, Mr. Bolton: you navigated that perilous script beautifully.

yeah right. Like the Marilyn Monroe dress Kim wore that was destroyed???
Hoping The Metropolitan Museum of Art has a bit more integrity than Ripley's Believe It or Not LOL
@@jonnyfendi2003
That’s Ripley’s Believe It or Not. They’re not a museum. It’s more of a road side attraction.
