He said that fusion flare is double the power if used after fusion bolt because it hurts more. What if pokemon battles are just about causing enough pain to your opponent for them to faint?
Uhm... yes, that is what they have been... that's just how they are, but apparently sleeping doesnt count as fainting. Reminds me of how this kid in hoenn said: "You should try *PARALYZING, POISONING, BURNING* or putting your opponent to sleep to help you win!" I don't know why pokemon consider us friends if we put them in battles where they black out all the time and catch fire, become poisoned or paralyzed/frozen to where they are unable to move (and in fights, pokemon don't die) (also, you were just joking about that, right? Sincere apologies if you were actually being serious)
@@U.R.coolkid Some claim it's about getting stronger and how it's "fun" for them because the games said so, but I think it's pretty obvious that's just Game Freak's way of getting around the fact that's it's just cockfighting on steroids.
I can't burn you. You already burned yourself when you said the Kanji of Fire Blast is Fire. (It's Ooki, which means Big) You're not gonna say "Water is wet" over and over for all those moves are you?
im gonna be that guy: You're right that regulations have caused a buildup of underbrush in california which is why fires are much more widespread and dangerous than if there were no regulations, but it's not because they've regulated logging, but because theyre regulated firespread. It's the forest service's job to snuff out fires, but because they snuff out those fires the forests become overgrown and become dangerous when there's a fire they can't snuff out. while there have been at least two national studies that show thinning the forest (logging) can reduce the damage, loggers tend to take the bigger trees which are the forest's main defense against fires (the age/size/amount of nutrients in the wood makes it so it doesn't burn down completely, acting like a wall to the more susceptible trees/underbrush). They could have it so that loggers just avoid those older trees, but those previous studies also showed that when logging is mixed with smaller fires, since loggers leave behind noncommercial wood that fresh wood on the ground burns hotter, damaging the trees left behind. The solution seems to be less regulations, but not more logging. Instead, the forest service needs to let natural forests continue to burn without suppression, and apply targeted burning near populated areas to prevent the risk that these massive fires reach people. www.motherjones.com/environment/2017/12/a-century-of-fire-suppression-is-why-california-is-in-flames/
Komoli Rihyoh wow, thanks for this! “dumb environmentalists” didn’t convince me very much I’ve lived around those fire hot spot areas and... is logging even a good idea there? It’s so dry. Its not in some nice, rainy place.
Rho-star MKL yeah i don’t wanna speculate on what he believes, but “dumb environmentalists” seems pretty funny considering the predicament we’re in? Deforestation has wrecked large parts of the world and I understand the desire to prevent man’s interference with nature of any kind, but if strategic burning to prevent mass casualty for animals and humans alike is necessary and better than a raging fire we can’t control, then that’s something we should look into. Not, you know, say “silly environmentalists, don’t you know we need to burn the trees?” Still, I would hope he’s only talking about this specific area in California where these wild fires are actually a huge issue, and not the Amazon where it’s burning for profit

Best burn, huh? Okay, how about this? "An argument with you is the intellectual equivalent of swatting a fly with a skyscraper."
What I’ve learned today:
Heat hurts
"Heat hurts"

I can't burn you. You already burned yourself when you said the Kanji of Fire Blast is Fire. (It's Ooki, which means Big)
You're not gonna say "Water is wet" over and over for all those moves are you?

You're mama's so fat, her splash attack did damage.
Light travels faster than sound. So when I first saw you I thought you were smart.
How many times has Lockstin said "Heat Hurts?"
To many times to even consider the "Burns" he's put onto himself!
What I learned from this video:
Heat hurts
im gonna be that guy:
You're right that regulations have caused a buildup of underbrush in california which is why fires are much more widespread and dangerous than if there were no regulations, but it's not because they've regulated logging, but because theyre regulated firespread.

Komoli Rihyoh THANK YOU!!
Amen!
Komoli Rihyoh wow, thanks for this! “dumb environmentalists” didn’t convince me very much
I’ve lived around those fire hot spot areas and... is logging even a good idea there? It’s so dry. Its not in some nice, rainy place.
Joey Perez I don’t even think Lockstin believes that redpilled laissez faire crap. Look at what happened to the Amazon rainforest.
Fire, it burns. I would know.
The Pokémon moves explained series makes me aware of how brutal pokémon actually is 😅
5:25 “hey that’s Chinese!” Me when I first watch this
