the blunt edge is the leading edge to the spin, also avoid over tightening the props screws, think 12 year old strength. when they are over tight they shatter more easily. practise in the wind is never a waste, your gonna face weird winds in the hills and its good to get the feel for it. the worst part of the wind is the positive effect, when you turn to go with the wind you get super fast super quick.
ps keep practising the hand catch and hand launch. one of my biggest regrets is putting arm switch on the wrong side. dozens of times i've flown in places where it would have been a huuge help.
